the mariner

Open up the book
to the misty page
deep fog
lies inside

cold hands
pave through
lost island
here for you

mariner
calling you
all have gone
i remain

lone island
my new home
castaway
here i am

peel mist
sound a bell
walk tall
wet as well

i thought
i was alone
but other steps
i see

small steps
from inland
mark the
dry sand

all hands
lost to sea
who is
here with me

i slept
eventually
beneath
a tall palm tree

and waking
a fire there
with food
so prepared

a fiqure
in the night
shadowy
and out of sight

then through
the firelight
a woman
came to sight

tall woman
hair so dark
soft voice
as the lark

she spoke
words to me
mariner
from the sea

blue eyed woman
took me deep
into the land
of sleep
where mist
and mountains kiss
her land
was slow in time
no one ages
no bells chime

mariner
lost at sea
the report
said of me
but now
a new life found
with the footsteps
on the ground

a dream
a place
no ones sees
lost island
with mist
adventure
and fantasy

the hawk and the dove

Before the stake
she stood alone
the crowds jeered
and mocked her fate

tis a come down
my lady fair
no wealth will save
your comely frame

as loud the cheers
without no pity
ran throughout
that bloody city

the dove is taken
was the cry
prepare the wood
let her die

her crime
was only noble birth
when revolution
sought its worth

the branches laid
the fire there
while people jeered
no mercy nor a care

but then a bird
swooped
from the sky
perched itself nearby

this little hawk
began to screech
its master came
into the breach

his sword did flash
as did his eyes
he pulled the dove
close to his side

this sword will cut
till it runs red
he cut her free
in that town square

though all around
out numbered there
then from the sky
in white she came

Pegasus
flew down to him
the dove put on
he used his wings

to take her up
and safety there
the hawk and man
were left there

the hawk screeched again
and suddenly
the sky was filled
with cloud and rain

the cloud and rain
were hawks in number
the sword did flash
them to asunder

the work was done
the dove was safe
the hawk and master
had escaped

from there
both journey
to the setting sun
the lady and man as one

the mariner..conclusion

And thus the mariner
followed her
the mystery woman
with long black hair

where are we going
he said to her
she looked at him
with searching eyes

a quill of questions
would let fly
she saw it so
within his eyes

she motioned him
towards a pool
with rocks around
to sit a while

my name is maya
i came for you
from above the cloud
down to the sea of blue

and so she spoke
of a land not seen
beyond this island
pastures green

the watchers
saw you
and sent me too
find and rescue you

i only have
three days with you
to tell you of
a world so new

beyond the cloud
a golden bridge
leading to
a mountain ridge

white lions
guard the opening
to a cave
another realm

drawn to her
the mariner
travelled beside her
up the mountain high

soon the valley floor
became a distant sight
climb by day
spoke at night

climbing into clouds
which opened as they came
behold the golden bridge
and the feel of cool rain

across the bridge
that spanned a wide ravine
and there before
white lions were seen

maya spoke
and lions mouths closed
she guided him into
a dark yet fragrant cave

a paradise
was waiting there
where time
stood still

there maya took
the mariners hand
and led him through
the golden trees

toward a waterfall
and lake so blue
with richest grass
lay there for you

with healing leaves
the trees display
the fruit of life
you take each day

the purpose of
this story told
as watchers saw
events unfold

as maya longed
and needed there
someone to love
and cherish there

so maya found
a love for him
as he in her
found love again

~Behind A Thought~

The sound echoed as it lay still on free ride over air. My knuckles in white full clutch to the arms that stay on the chair. Heads full erect as my backs center lined with the wall a the room. Feet take my legs dug in toes hold the force, of adrenaline stream. Eyes paint the thought in the sit an the sight of the place that you are. Shiver in spine erupted the skin hair is on edge. A gasp an grasp as lungs are in flight midst heart pumpin red.

H'Luanah

Ocean laying calm,
Of windless balm,
Foaming, Gliding,
Skimming, Diving,
Speed in Concord,
Gravity defying!
Forever, flowing , Aura’d locks,
Shimmering,
Ghostly folded golden light,
Emotion, vigour, life,
Shining bright,
Changing hue, yet truly spoke,
Through eyes, deep of purest blue.
Like, acoustic, amplified,
Simplified through depth,
Flick of tail,
Out of water leapt,
Beauty incarnate, in time, Pre-Dawn,
H’Luanah!
Not of mans story, through ages downlaid,
MERMAID!
Of Supernature borne!

Negligee

Negligee

Delicate lace,
Velvety silk,
Buttons of pearl.

Sleek black,
Seductive rose,
Remnant stitches of immaculate pristine.

When encountered with flesh,
its leaves shivers,
like a quake you quiver.

Taking stage you frolic,
Sigh a cry of indulgent,
Where restriction has no rules.

Pleasure divine,
in exquisite apparel.

TRANSMOGRIFICATION (part 3)

We know not what she was in Magickal suspension before,
For, we see not the other side of Magick’s door.
Pure blinding thought, a kindly deed,
A helping hand in one’s hour of need,
Not from near, nor from far,
She is the twinkling of a star,
Of all Magick things, the very living flame,
Is all knowing, yet carries no name.
Soothing the beast’s fevered brow,
No past nor future, she is only now,
Always and forever will she be the same,
She kisses him gently, and strokes his mane,
Til the moon in the night sky sinks,
And to another goodbye, off he slinks,
To live for another month in man’s domain,
Among those ignorant, who would consider,
His very existence profane….

TRANSMOGRIFICATION

By two badly rusted gates, unhinged,
It stands before the shadows, cringed,
A low growl building at the back of it’s throat,
Taught muscles quivering, underneath the wiry coat,
Full moon comes from behind a cloud,
Shrugging off the darkening shroud,
Screech from an owl,
Now it splits the night, with a triumphant howl,
From a lone sheep, a frightened bleat,
Change from man to wolf, now complete.

TRANSMOGRIFICATION (part 2)

As the full moon emerges from behind the dark cloud,
Half man, half wolf now standing on a rock, howling loud,
Trees bending, wind howling in competition,
In unison, nature’s own rendition,
She came then,
As she had since time back when,
Stroking his neck, the howling ceased,
Kindly words with Magick uttered to quiet the beast,
How golden and fair,
Floating midst the cloud of stardust in the air,
Of only but a minute in our time did this consist,
This precious time, this lovers’ tryst.
