The truth behind Rumpelstiltskin revealed (part2)

As night started to fall she became more desperate. It was rumoured that wild animals roamed the night. These animals were so fierce that they could devour a fully grown human with one gulp. She did not want to verify the truth of the rumour. Now there was only one place left for her to go. She would have to walk to the castle and throw herself on the mercy of the King. That she would walk that distance showed how desperate she really was.

By the last light of the day she hurried to the castle. She only just arrived in time, had it been a few minutes later the drawbridge would have been raised. The heavy gates creaked open as she was given entry. For once luck was with her as the King would see only one more supplicant and she was the one. She was shown into the Great Hall of Justice. There the King sat on his throne looking ever so regal.

Immediately she fell to her knees with her head on the ground and started wailing. Tears were streaming down her face making a puddle on the floor. The sobs became louder and louder, echoing throughout the hall.

The King sat there astonished. He was totally flummoxed. Who in the name of all the Gods was this ugly creature. Never in his life had he seen anything like this. Admittedly, he had led a sheltered life, never venturing past the castle walls, but this thing, it was the height of ugliness. Even his pigs seemed pretty in comparison.

“Please your Great and Noble King, our Lord and Master, The most Supreme Ruler, please help me. I have no home and I am starving.” By this time her hunger pangs were most excruciating. She had gone for four hours without food. “I will do anything that you might require. Please give me food, I will do anything.”

The King was getting more and more disgusted with this creature. He was ready to have her thrown over the castle walls. He did not even want her in his dungeons.

“Bah! Unless you can turn straw into gold you are no use to me.” This statement he thought was rather funny. He let out a small laugh. The Ladies of the court laughed. The nobles of the court laughed, the knights laughed and the Jester laughed and capered about.

By now she was so desperate for food that she was willing to say and promise anything. “Your Royal Highness, I can spin you the finest gold out of straw. Anything at all for you my Lord. I will spin any amount you want but I am too weak. If only you give me food your Graciousness I will do it for you.”

“Did you say that you can spin me gold out of straw?’

Suddenly there was instant silence in the Great Hall. The Miller’s daughter was too concerned to notice what was happening, to realise what deadly ground she was treading on.

The truth behind Rumpelstiltskin revealed (part5)

Again, as the night before, the wizened little man arrived. He could not stand to see her so unhappy so out of the goodness of his heart he once again agreed to help her. All she had left was a ring on her little finger. This seemed to please him and she happily handed it over knowing that once again she had cheated death.

Same as the night before he sat himself down at the spinning wheel, muttered some sort of incantation to himself, cracked his knuckles and started spinning. In went the straw and out came the gold.

Far into the night he worked. Straw after straw he spun into gold whilst in the corner the miller’s daughter slumbered. So deep was her slumber that enormous sounding snores escaped the room and roamed the castle. It was whispered amongst the servants that surely a dragon must reside down near the dungeons.

Finally after many gruelling hours of work he finished. He looked totally exhausted and slowly raised himself from the stool. A quick look around to make sure he had not missed any and he was gone.

When the King entered the room there was no hiding the greed that shone forth from his eyes when he saw all the gold. Surely he must be the richest man in the entire world. When he looked at the miller’s daughter she looked almost ravishing to him.

It was at this point that he decided that he would give her one more room, nay, he would give her the entire cellars to fill with gold. Should she succeed he would make her his Queen. If she failed, then alas, she would die.

The day was spent in feasting, much like the day before. Today though the miller’s daughter was outfitted with the finest of clothes. Clothes fit for a Queen. The Ladies of the court tried not to show their disgust as the King fawned over her. Every time the King kissed her it was all they could do just to keep their food down. However the King was totally oblivious to all this. To him, through his gold affected eyes she was beautiful and desirable.

All day long while the feasting was going on the servants were busy filling the cellars. Room after room was filled with straw, from floor to the ceiling leaving barely enough room to walk in.

That night she was shown the cellars. Fifteen huge rooms in all, and the prize if she succeeded was to become Queen. Should she fail, the death she was promised was more horrific than she could ever imagine. As the King and his guards retreated she fell to the floor. This time her wails were so loud that surely every castle ghost was awoken.

The truth behind Rumpelstiltskin revealed (part7)

Time moved on and before you knew it one year had passed since that time down in the cellars. Of course the Queen had totally forgotten about the promise she had made. Her life for the last year consisted eating and sleeping. She had grown so big that there was no room in bed for the King so a second bed was placed near hers.

Many a wife thought that this was a great idea to get a troublesome husband out of their beds. Once out of the marital bed there was suddenly a lack of marital duties performed. This was a period of time the called the dark twin bed ages. Some husbands banded together and invented what they called the ‘King size bed’. This bed was much wider and many husbands reclaimed their marital rights. But this is another story altogether.

Right on time the wizened little man presented himself for his promised reward. All year long he had been waiting for this, to claim what was his due. It had taken weeks for his fingers to heal after that night. Even now there was some scarring still evident.

“I am here for my promised reward,” said the man. “You may present me to the guests as Rumpelstiltskin.” A smile lit up his wrinkled face at the thought of the festivities to come.

As mentioned earlier, she had completely forgotten about her promise. Now suddenly the thought terrified her. What if he was to let on to the King the truth about those nights. Surely the King would be so angry at being deceived that he would torture and kill her. Or even worse, deny her food until she faded away into nothingness.

As all these terrible thoughts ran rampant in her head, suddenly a plan was formulated. Not only was she fat, ugly and lazy but also without the slightest twinge of conscience, and as devious as a sewer rat.

“Please Sir Rumpelstiltskin can you take my baby out into the garden and let him enjoy the sunshine with you. While you are doing that I will arrange a grand reception befitting a fine man of your high station.” On and on dripped the words of honey until
Rumpelstiltskin had no choice but to agree.

Cave of ‘Time Immortal’

Deep in a forest dwells a secret cave
Hidden from time generations ago
Entrance buried during earthquake shock wave
And landslide caused by its laminar flow

Whence was habitat for an early tribe
Did become an ancient tomb thus enshrined
To what race of man, for they to ascribe
Became a burial place being mined

Day the ‘dozer let in daylight contain
A time capsule was discovered once more
A prehistoric world under the moraine
Once lost in time now ready to explore

Rare in the records of time immortal
We ever walk back through an old portal

Santa Baby (slightly.. different version)

Santa Baby
just slip black candy under the tree
for me
been an awful good vamp
Santa Baby
So hurry to my coffin tonight

Santa Baby
may I dare to nibble you some
for fun
I'll wait up for you dear
Santa Baby
So hurry to my coffin tonight

Think of all the fun I've missed
Think of all the pretty pires I haven't kissed
Next year I could be just as good
If you check off my bloodstained list..

Santa Baby
just one bite and really that's not
a lot..
You won't feel even a prick
Santa Baby
So hurry to my coffin tonight

Santa Honey
one thing I really feel I need
indeed..
just some drops of your blood
Santa Baby
So hurry to my coffin tonight

Santa Darling
ignore the feeling of pending doom
and gloom..
Listen not to your fears
Santa Darling
Just hurry to my coffin tonight

Come and trim the churchyard tree
with blood red bubbles, shiny and for all to see
I place my dark soul's trust in you
Let's see if you will trust me too...

Santa Baby
some blood loss isn't really as bad
as said
Pale is the fashion this year
Santa Baby
So hurry to my coffin tonight

Hurry to my coffin tonight

Hurry.. tonight

About this poem:
It was a just for the silliness of insanity competition a friend had set up. We were to rewrite Christmas songs in a vampiric kind of way, and well.. I ended recording my version with a tiny mp3 player (I had nicked from daughter :P) and using an instrumental wav file of the original song (to which I obviously do NOT claim any rights).

I ended winning the competition as I threatened to record more rewritten Xmas songs -chuckles and shoves halo back in place-

Legend Of The Black Dove (Part 9)

"The Voyage To Where ?"

The weather is cold and the sea calm as the 'Columbia' goes out to sea.

Norrington and Jenkins finally fall asleep in their cabin while on deck

the captain fears something wrong with the ship, the weather picks up

to a squall as the 'Columbia' gains tremendous speed and a strange

mist engulfs the ship. She is travelling an amazing 2000knots and

then suddenly slows down. They are in a harbour once again, but

where are they ? It is now daylight, it having being night just an hour

before going to sea. The jolt from sudden stopping awaken Norrington

and Jenkins and they head up on deck. From the captain, Norrington

finds out the ship has travelled to some unchartered land, he

orders for a boat to be lowered intending to go ashore on a

scouting mission and asks for volunteers, Norrington and Jenkins go

along with Captain Dennis Owens and his first officer Glenn Hill plus

two crewmen. As they approach Dover harbour (is Dover here an

unchartered land?) the passengers and crew behold a very unusual

sight: instead of sailing ships they notice ships of strange types moored

in the harbour, along with the 'Enterprise'- the sister ship of the

'Columbia' which must be brand new, but appears to be worn out and

ready for scrapping. What are these strange ships, what had happened

to their own ship ? The Captain decides he needed some answers

(The Captain wishes to find out) so they all decide to board one of the

strange vessels. When on board they go below deck and find a propulsion

system of strange design on the cellar deck. they are all amazed at what

they see. The captain discovers the bridge of the huge ship full of weird

levers and instrumentation. Owens notices a placard on the ship's wheel

mount on the 'Albatross' built at Newcastle in 1929, as well as a calendar

dated 1930,and it all starts to make sense: the weird mist had transported

them through a time portal from 1750 to the year 1930.....

Is the crew of the 'Columbia' marooned forever in this particular time period ?

Is there any way back to their own time?

Make the discovery (Find out) in Part 10...."The Unknown World"

The Magic Wand

Magicians around the world rely on their
magic wand, it is their main tool in their
trade, it creates the illusion of making
magic believable, it has the ability to
trick your senses into believing the
magician, when he has your full attention
he works his magic and makes everyone
shocked in amazement, magic wands
are not always used by magicians as in
the storybook story of 'Cinderella' it was
used by the Fairy Godmother to change
'Cinderella' into a princess while turning
a pumpkin into a beautiful coach with
white horses to take Cinderella to the ball.
The magic wand is nothing more than a
painted stick of wood, but when painted it is
transformed into a wonderful magic wand.

Legend Of The Black Dove (Part 10a)

"The Unknown World "

After leaving Monterey by ship, the Columbia encounters a
strange storm accompanied by a heavy mist that creates a voyage through time to another place. The Captain discovers they are in Dover harbour but everything seems different, Norrington, Jenkins, Captain Owens, and first officer Hill investigate the huge ship named 'Albatross', which is moored in the port. The huge ship's bridge is full of weird levers and
instrumentation, Owens notices a placard on the ship's wheel stating ''The Albatross built at Newcastle in 1929", also a calendar dated 1930, and it all starts to make sense, including the weird mist that transported them through time from 1750 to the year 1930. Captain Owens realises that the freak storm may possibly return and if they were lucky enough it may take them back to their normal timeline. He suggests they should all return to the Columbia. They are about to leave when the watch crew comes back. They are heavily armed with rifles and a machine gun. The Captain of the Albatross tells them: "Halt! Hands up!" and their men search them for concealed weapons. They are later taken on deck. While the two captain's hold a discussion Owens tells Captain Ryder that they are here by accident not design as a strange wind brought them from 1750 to 1930. He could not understand why this happened but they seem now stranded here. The only chance of returning is to try to reconnect with the wind taking us back to our own time, and things will once again be normal. While they are talking they see in the distance that the storm is returning, and Ryder agrees to help them but they need to be quick, as the storm is approaching the Columbia very fast. Ryder tells his crew to release the men and start the ship's engines. Within a few minutes the Albatross reaches the Columbia. The storm is now upon them. As Captain Owens man's the ship's wheel, they set sail towards the storm whereas the Albatross flees the scene. Seconds later the Columbia is engulfed in fog. It is happening again, the speed becomes faster and faster, the ship begins to shake and buffet, and then starts to slow down again. Norrington and Jenkins look around to see if they are near some volcanic island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. Captain Owens arranges a landing party to try to get some supplies, food and water and anything else they can find. They also take their guns for protection.

Legend Of The Black Dove (Part 10 B)

"The Unknown World" (Continued)

Flying above the ship are two large birds, but on a closer inspection they observe flying reptiles, Pterodactyls: it seems they have been transported to the prehistoric times. They decide to carry on moving towards the island. Owens, who is leading the men, realises they have to go in, get through and out as quick as possible through the rainforest with its strange vegetation and small animals. Moments later they notice a Stegosaurus eating foliage. Avoiding confrontation they walk around the trees only to encounter an Alosaurus- a flesh eater which notices them. Growling it starts to chase after the crew. They shoot their pistols at it. While running
Jenkins falls to the ground, Norrington turns and decoys the beast away from his friend, the other crew members help Jenkins escape the beast's clutches. Without being noticed Norrington is transformed into the Black Dove and is trying to lure the beast in his direction. The other men are now on board the ship, while the
Dove is playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the Alosaurus. The Dove uses his super strength and speed to jump onto the monster's back and render it unconscious. The dinosaur slumps to the ground. Becoming John Norrington again he rejoins his friends. Captain Owens is successful in getting fresh water and some plants for their voyage home. The storm is approaching the Columbia giving them another chance to return home to England. Everyone is on board, knowing not where they will be going to next.
Will the Columbia's crew finally arrive in England?
Or will they end up in another time zone again?
The startling answer is in Part 11...."Destination Unknown"
