Belly Dance (quite the challenge)

For my working out routine
On bellydancing I am keen!
Can I swivel, can I sway?
Yes, I've got that part, okay.

'Tis my arms that need follow
or this dance shall ring too hollow.
Graceful, lithe and smooth...
I'll eventually find that groove.

I'll strive to keep at it, yes!
Working hard to do my best.
As I'm moving, I do wonder
Should my man come in from yonder
Will he glance at my dance,
will it put him in a trance?

Oh, dear, I do fear!
This distraction I did ponder,
it has made me twirl asunder.
Now in vain's my dream so dear
For I've fallen on my rear....

About this poem:
On my recent trip back from the U.S., I did manage to bring back my Bellydance workout DVD, my portable DVD player & even another voltage converter...
So this challenge is quite timely --& I've managed to get to just the start of the arm & hand movements... & the ending on this poem is fictional(I hope..)

Our first kiss

Striking lightening
this love forever pines
away drifting in a desert oasis
an angel's voice sweetly sings
so sweet my unforgettable dream

Inside this you are darling
shining brightest of all stars
liquid silver shivering
the moon begins to weep
starlight crystals winking droplets fall
love you are each one

A beautiful memory
touching so deeply
that i will never forget
as long as i live,
the very first kiss
joining lips breathtaking
with you my love complete

HOURS

Embedded image from another site

The hours spent with her
are like stones that build a city
they lead to meadows fertile and green
house to house, a road in between...

Hours spent cuddling with promises made
clouds out of trickling rain
spun of lovely erotic music
hours freeing me of eternal pain...

Our love is a tapestry of minutes and hours
souls touching in soothing tone
blending together our longings fulfilled
hours with her such as I have never known!

Heart Boxes

If I could open up your heart
as I open up a box
What would I see?
What would it be?

I'd approach it just the same.
Carrying hope, anticipation,
curiosity

What might be inside....
Hmm... endless possibilities.

So,
what did I see?
what did I find?

In this lovely corner,
what I found,

.....is kind.

About this poem:
I believe (to quote Cafe), "Kindness is the crown jewel of character".

This simplistic box of words is dedicated to all the conveyors/givers of kindness I've found here & elsewhere on the internet...

Never tell an older woman..

Never tell an older women what I'm
about to tell you
That men long deeply for that feminine
touch in the way they've learned to do
Never let on that her experienced eyes
can see through your very soul
Never second guess until all her stories told
Never let the magazines, the media, and
the press know she squeezed tears from
your doubtful eyes that poured across
her breasts
Never let the sun know what the the moon
has held in trust
That the love of an older woman is not a
choice but a must..

Beware O ye gallant knights..
For there is a maiden who dwells
among us in the shadows..
Perhaps you've heard of her midnight
exploits and of her rebellious activities
spurning the authority of the king..the
King himself!
Yes, my humble subjects, you might
catch a glimpse of her on some foggy
night riding that black stallion wearing
nothing but waist length hair blowing in
the wind..
She' a rebel all right perhaps not fit
for the kingdom yet we have not seen
the likes of her since that nine year old stole
the kings crown..
Any information leading to her capture
will win you a Mac Donalds gift certificate
for one Happy meal. Bravo!

LADIES OF THE LAKE

I dedicate this poem to the passion alive in every woman!~

We gather near the water and woodland,
to feast and feel
the mother's beating heart beneath our feet.
As her heart thrums, our senses awaken.
We are humbled by her bounty;
aware and thriving, feeling the gift
of her fire in our bellies.
Fire that is the spirit and conviction of womanhood.
We gather to bond as we rejoice in our feminine selves.
We gather to lose ourselves
in the magic of the realm.
The realm of dancing leaves and endless sky.
The towering pines teach us of strength,
while the sun bathes our skin in warmth,
reaching ever deeper into the soul.
Sisters, hand in hand. Each mind, each heart,
weaving us together in a tapestry of song,
connecting us to the true blessings of this sacred circle.
A circle of understanding and compassion,
joy and celebration.
Our play, our appreciation and our presence
ground our higher selves to the rhythm of life.
Life, brimming all around us.
Hand in hand, page by chapter, beat by breath.
We are one collective pulse, perfectly attuned
and centered in the here and now.
We are alive with the awareness of our perfect selves,
allowing all else to melt away.
Eye sparkle light dance.
One consciousness. One focused prayer.
We cannot help but smile at our strength this day.

About this poem:
Perhaps it is the approach of Mother's Day. I simply wanted to devote a special poem to the gloriousness and mystery that is every woman. Profoundly complex creatures that we are. SPEAK YOUR MANDRA THIS DAY AND STEP INTO YOUR DIVINE LIGHT AND DANCE LADIES. Take some time today to appreciate yourself and all the women in your circle. And God bless the men who love the women we are, although profoundly complex creatures. We still make life wonderful and mysterious. LOL. Blessed be ladies. LET ME HEAR YOU!~ Let's keep this poem at the front until Mother's Day. Pass it on!~

"When I Die"

When I die, shed no tears for me,
as my grief and sorrow will be no more.
Blood flowing within my veins will cease,
to carry such pains to my heart's door.

What is 'LIFE' when day after day,
my greatest hope is to see it end?
All woes, aches and continual dismay,
of evils to dark to comprehend.

The dream of life with 'REAL' happiness,
finds it's place among a privileged few,
as most are at war with their daily stress,
of making ends meet just to pay debts due.

So when that six foot hole is meant for me,
don't wear black to accent your saddened frown,
just plant my body beneath a healthy tree,
and let my dust enhance it's glorious crown.

Once I'm gone from the abusive grind,
of this life's demands upon it's slaves,
I'll never again to 'REAL' joy be blind,
as Forever I'll basque in the LOVE I crave.

The LOVE of one who lived before me,
to pave the way through all rough terrain.
He took my sin with Him to His own tree,
not to be nourished, but from which to hang.

'LIFE' for those that look for Heaven's Gate,
is not found here upon earth's crust or shore.
We as 'pilgrims' patiently await our good fate,
that delivers us from sorrows forevermore!

Hitchhike through my heart

Hitchhike through my
heart
I'm traveling on a
lonely highway
Shine your light on
these sad alleys and
valleys
Perhaps you'll find
me along some abandoned
road
Just follow the love
signs
Pick me up..
and love me~

A Little Poem For You

I know so very little about you
Except your cute smile and the *green/blue/brown/hazel eyes
You’re romantic yet non-sense of humor
I like to tease and I love it when you’re shy
You never know how much you mean to me
There’re many times I dreamed of your smile
You never know how much I love your poetry
I love the most is to look at your profile
I wish I were older than I am now
I wish I were there in your country
If I was as same age as you are now
I could fall in love most completely
This is not a sonnet but a lil poem
This is just for 'you' not that for them

*(lol - not sure about the eyes color)
