Peacefulness

Peacefulness truly leads to happiness.
Peacefulness brings about total bliss.
Peacefulness is forgiveness.
Peacefulness feels the best.
Peacefulness found in ones heart
and soul. Soft to others is a
way to start. Peacefulness is a
BLESSING. True serenity.
Living your life with no more strive.
Peacefulness is a sunny day when
every thing is gentle in
every way.

Karma

Confetti bubbles in a heart
while bullets surf a brain
Unspoken deeds rewritten
to hide an act of shame
To Strive and Thrive
within a page of life and love and honor
when trust is sold as promised land
to devil... from a Mother.
When one can see beyond the stench
of death in loves design,
a dying wish...from graveyard shift
will capture greedy minds!
So Shhhh don't tell...
of broken spell
When book of life is driven
A bodies work in all its acts
Is wealth in time and vision
Calmly waiting for the day
Of fate in wheels of mission

Performance Artist

I am a Performance Artist
I model and pose
As an ancient stone
Goddess
Without a head or arms

I am a Performance Artist
Even if it is not my
Performance
That performs the
Climax

In most unpleasing
Light
Some see me
And I have seen
Them

My fellow
Performance Artists

~~ Dearest Grandma~~

Dearest Grandmother;
I know that you are happy somewhere, smiling to all of us here on earth, telling us to smile again.
That you are in a better place right now, but we your grandchildren as well to the many great and great-great grandkids as to the many other family and friends and we really miss your voice around,
and so sorry grandma, so sorry grandma because you
were feeling pain and I your granddaughter was not there to help take the ease of your pain.
Because you loved me so much and as I love you so much it hurt to seen you slipping away.
Because I believed that nothing bad would happen and you would soon be okay.
But you were really leaving far away, taking with you my heart; everything was beautiful in your life.
Because you were a believer, as you taught each and all of us the Love of Christ and to except Him.
What a small price to pay as we lay our Dearest grandmother to rest in eternity
She will be in a better place, in a field of clouds to hold her head from
No more suffering, just to walk holding Jesus hands and as there
Will be no more suffering grandma~~~

You have gone and left behind an emptiness space and the many of the missing good time memories
that we all your family and friends will never forget as we lay you to rest.
Sorry grandma, to say our final goodbyes but not so final until we see you in heaven someday, as God has room for more as He will take us and no promise on earth, grandma it is hard to see you one last time. Because I was not ready for the painful times, and I as the many more were not ready to say goodbye today.

We know many will feel weak to see your face for the last time, and to never hear your sweetest words again as you had a way of such a sweet soft spoken touch in your voice of wisdom.
Sorry grandma because it took so long, for some of the illness and pains on earth to go and, to realize it was not just a terrifying thought to never see our wonderful grandma or to enjoy the earthly things, like your famous cinnamon bread it was just the greatest memory of grandma on earth. We so many will say our Goodbyes as we linger in sorrow of losing a dear grandmother, Step Mother, Aunt, as well to being the fun memory of learning, the Love of Jesus shines through you till we all meet you again in Heaven.

too be continued..pg two

IN MY MIND,HEART AND SOUL

I SEE HER BUT I CANNOT MAKE OUT HER FACE SHE COMES TO SOOTH ME AND TAKE AWAY MY PAIN.

EVEN THOUGH I DON'T KNOW HER WITHOUT HER I FEEL OUT OF PLACE
HER EYES HER LIPS AND THE WARMTH OF HER BODY
HER TASTE.
I LOVE TO HOLD HER IN MY ARMS SO SHE CAN FEEL PROTECTED I WOULD DO

ANYTHING FOR HER SHE IS MY PRINCESS.

I AM TRUE TO HER IN EVERY WAY BECAUSE I WANT HER TO KNOW THAT I AM FOR REAL NOT FAKE AND THAT I DON'T PLAY ANY GAMES.

I HAVEN'T FOUND HER YET BUT I WILL SOME DAY I DON'T EVEN KNOW HER
NAME.
I SEE HER BUT I CANNOT MAKE OUT HER FACE SHE IS MY SOUL MATE SHE COMES TO HEAL MY WOUNDS AND WASH AWAY THE TEARS OFF MY FACE WITH OUT HER I WILL ALWAYS FEEL OUT OF PLACE.

About this poem:
THIS POEM IS ABOUT ME EXPRESSING MY SELF ABOUT THE PAIN THAT I FEEL
DEEP INSIDE MY HEART AND THAT I SOMETIMES IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE
LIKE TO FINALLY FIND MY TRUE LOVE. SOME ONE THAT CAN BE MY PRINCESS AND I HER PRINCE. SOME ONE THAT WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR ME THREW GOOD TIMES AND BAD TIMES JUST LIKE I WOULD FOR HER.
THERE IS SO MUCH IN ME AND I WANT TO SHARE IT WITH THE RIGHT SPECIAL PERSON.

Contented

Don't have money, don't have fame,
But I have Jesus and I can call on His name....
His name gives me power, His name gives me strength,
His name gives me hope, His name gives me joy,
He fills me up with love, makes my cup overflow,
I know my Savior loves me
And I love Him so

Money makes you anxious,
Money makes you afraid
Whether you have a lot, a little
Or none at all
When you have it you cannot keep it
For you must pay bills
Big and small

Why chase behind it when...
With us it cannot go
In the grave we cannot spend nor count it
Trust me the love of it makes it our foe....
Money may buy nice things, a house, a car or land
It may make you look pretty
But it's all within a time span.
To keep them
You have to spend more and more,
Work harder than before

So let's all be contented
with what little we do have
The things of value
Can't really be stored in the bank
I thought you'd know that
For stocks crash and burn
Houses do too you know...
Why, 'twere not for the love of Jesus,
You probably wouldn't be you.

Spread a little joy, Share a big smile
Say hello to someone
You haven't in a while
Visit the sick today
They may not be here tomorrow
That way... you'd have no regrets to show
Share your bread in two
Great joy you will know
Walk with God daily
Sing a song of praise
Then your life shall be merry
Even when there is rain.

The Search

It's logical to believe that we not alone in the Universe,
Wow, how did we get here?
Some would say a divine force (God) created us,
Philosophies emerged,
The ancient Greeks believed in polytheism,
And also a form of reincarnation,
As did the Hindus,
The Vikings had a warrior culture with Thor and Odin,
Judaism had the one God concept,
As did its spin off Christianity,
And of course Islam has the one God concept too.
The Incas had their Sun God.
The concept of a creative force makes sense,
Each culture developed its own philosophy of existence.
They developed a set of moral rules,
Necessary for peaceful coexistence,
All very commendable.
They based it on the known world of their time.
It gave people hope from the disease,
The hardship,
And their transient life.
The world moved on,
We saw the stars and the infinity out there,
We figured out some laws of physics,
But it always stopped at that big question,
Yes but why?
What came before the Big Bang?
What is the purpose of these forces of physics?
And why are we such little, frail creatures,
So curious?
Perhaps the answer is so simple,
We are part of this amazing process,
We have evolved enquiring minds,
As part of our survival.
We want answers,
Some use logic,
Some simple mystical belief,
I’m sure in the end we’ll get there,
But only if we let reason,
And our unique enquiring minds,
Let the universal laws,
Give up their answers.

About this poem:
I don't come on here very often now but I noticed that one of your poets..."looking2share" put up a controversial poem about the nature religion and God. It received many comments...most unfavourable. He stirred up a hornet's nest because he dared question what for some people is the answer to their lives. When you question established religious belief...it's a brave call. I know that most of us cannot accept a nothingness concept of death. We're more important than that. Anyway I just put down my thoughts. I do believe that we are part of a bigger picture but still think we are in the process of finding out what that is. I would hope this poem will generate some "positive" thoughts and discussion.

Life's Path

Time lost to thee

Ancient as the old oak tree

Fleeting as the bumble bee

Grasp for that little glee

The caged bird wishes to be free

Dar es Salaam Harbour (acrostic

Dar es salaam harbour acrostic

Dar harbour full of teeming life
A mass of colourful ships and boats
Radiant do your waters gleam

Each wave gently lapping the shore
Sails fluttering in the breeze

Slowly yet violently the yachts jib
As they sail and tack against the wind
Loud blast out the ships horns
As the tugs pilot them to sea or dock
And the gulls screech diving in their wakes
Many colourful dhows sail in to moor

Hot breezes on my face
As midday temperatures soar
Raising our sails we float
Bringing our bows into the wind
Out to sea we are headed
Under full sail we skim the waves
Ready for what ever adventures await
