" A Single Rose Petal "

A single petal from a red rose fell,
Dew drops on the leaves her tears,
Blood on her thorns a sad story to tell,
Defended her soul like spears.

A flower not ready to wilt this time,
Refusing to bow to the storm,
Defiant to surrender her beauty sublime,
Her spirit stands protected from harm.

For she is strong with passion for life,
A smile on the face of pain,
Staunch on a doubtful path of strife,
Life itself the ultimate gain.

A darkened tomb her world can be,
When forces turn the daytime black,
Bright colours my wish for her to see,
To forever tease the sunlight back.

Never relent sweet warrior rose,
On the sad days continue to dance,
Face the world with your gorgeous repose,
And your beautiful countenance.

Oh ! You have me like a helium balloon,
Released o'er San Fransisco bay,
Taken by the breeze I'm lost and gone,
Your story simply blew me away.

A feel good poem

I like to make up poems on the spot, i never know what im writing from one line to the next, i tend to think this is the best and most expressive way to write. Seriously though, if you fancy a poem on any subject/topic/or silliness, send me an email here and I will post one just for you.. Enjoy :-)

Its funny sometimes,
how the little things matter,
how we listen to gossip,
and mindless chatter

Its funny sometimes,
how we stress for no reason,
we feel down on a sunday,
or we change with each season

Its funny sometimes,
how we can feel so alone,
wanting someone to visit,
wanting someone to phone

Its funny sometimes,
how we just need a hug,
to scootch up on the sofa,
and cuddle and snug

Its funny sometimes,
when things get us down,
always looking at the floor,
always showing a frown,

Its funny sometimes,
if we just lift our heads,
look at the world,
and smile instead

Embrace every meeting,
enjoy every talk,
sharing those special moments,
laughing together on a nice long walk.

Open our eyes,
and take in every sight,
theres no time for sadness,
its time to fight!

Its funny sometimes,
that everything is fine,
and the people who love you,
have been right here the whole time.

nothing lasts for ever

Nothing lasts for ever and the things that you think that do are the things that in the end are not ever working.

Soul Searching

The ocean swirls, surrounding thoughts adrift,
my mind at peace, a temporary lull,
internal wandering gives the soul a lift,
too soon the journey ends, the spirit dulls.
How can we keep our thoughts ablaze,
dark skies at bay for those who care,
remain afloat, at peace for all our days,
ride out dark storms, rough waters bear.
To answer this I crawl inside my soul,
seeking God's light, his inner peace.
It is through God, we find the key,
from him the answers come to set us free.

About this poem:
I think it's good for each of us to seach withn ourselves for answers. Most of us have periods of time when we question ourselves and what we believe.

Swept away beautiful

A painter of expressions
begins stroking deeply gold threaded feelings
in the warm silken soft tenderness
weaving emotion touching sweetly kisses
laying them with you
deep inside love treasured
within one thousand dreams

Your voice calls to me sweetly
underneath velvet satin darkness
catching a shining star
sparks behind the curtains
gifting one wish in your light
upon a trail of dust
sprinkling silver magically
cast under your spell

All wishes landed on perfect
the very day we met darling
enchanting magic flowers singing
waltzing butterflies dance
spinning around the soul's heart and beauty
adoring you love forever
one lifetime with a dream

On the eve of judgement

Countdown has begun
for the almighty battle that must be won.
The stakes are tremendously high
I loathe this battle, with a sigh.
It should not have come to this
but many who think they know best
caused more turmoil than sweet bliss.
I must face this evil head on.
I'll do it my way cos I'm head strong.
I will be standing tall and all alone
As this is my path which is cast in stone.
Some do not know how I am feeling
even when told I'm pushed away reeling.
So many opinions but not sound advice
from those whose hearts are frozen as ice.
Long ago I thought all the woe was done
and my life could be joyous and fun.
Will this be the end of my union with evil
or will it continue to worsen and
be a pest, a stinking weevil?
I hope the judgment is fair
or someone may lose all of their hair.
Hopefully his honour, the judge in robes
will consider all facts not just their lies.
I have hope this won't end in tears
but I'm also still plagued by my own fears.
Only time will tell if the judge is fair.
Tick, tock, tick, tock,
countdown has begun.

Moments With You

The first time I saw you
I honestly don't feel like talking to you.
You seems so touchy..
Kissing, snuggling is what you always want to do..

And as we started talking
I know there's something special within you
I gave you the chance to prove it to me
How really you are and that i wanted to be..

Feelings got mutual
And seems that we're ok
We spent time together
That makes a happy moments to share

Then one day you left
And it hurts so badly
I tried to fix things
Showing you that everything's gonna be ok

I cried in tears
Living my self in fears
Knowing you for a half year
Is enough for me to get scared. . .

choices

flip the coin
watch it spin
wait for the fall
and start again
heads you win
tails you mend
roll the dice make your bet
up the anty start to sweat
winners take all
losers go home
flip the coin wait for it to fall
run to see
which way its called
sometimes on the edge
keeps you on the wall

The Shadow

What is a Shadow? When you walk or run you give it life,
But when the light's reflection is gone it disappears, that is
Until, the sun comes up or the street lights go on.
But were does this lifeform go in the absence of light ?

Does it die or is it reborn again, it can't be the case
Of life as we know it. The Shadow always manages to come
Back when the sun is high, and it follows you everywhere
It seems to be an entity, a phantom that can reinvent

Itself at will. It is more than just a reflection of our human
Aura, it is a creation brought about by light. It cannot talk,
Eat or sleep and it is not a living being as we know it
But it never dies because it has never lived. It is a

Nondescript lifeform that is always present in light conditons.
It cannot be explained but it seems as real as you or I.
In the Shadow World we would be the reflection of the Shadow.

....All....

The time it takes to see it all is all.
That's how it seems for all.
Older the time the more of all.
Our thinking of all is all more sense.
Is it all there is or the older we become the more all?
Where does all of this take us..?
Alternatively, is there all to come...?
Maybe.. that's ALL........?
