Woman, rise up and assert your power
For generations you have been suppressed
Let the world know this is your hour
There are certain issues to be addressed
In dealing with areas of dispute
You tend to be much more tolerant
Making you more likely to find the truth
And well suited for management
You have shown in the field of education
Regardless of the area of learning
You can hold your own against men
Yet workplace equality is lacking
Woman, rise up and assert your power
For generations you have been suppressed

I wage my war on Satan with my Bible,
I scare the whinging Liberals with my gun.
I go to church on Sunday when I’m able,
I hunt and shoot God’s critters just for fun.
The good book tells us what becomes of sinners,
be they atheist, abortionist or gay.
The God fearing and righteous will be winners,
the rest will burn in hell on judgement day.
For the cause of God’s law we must fight,
but only if you’re Christian, Republican and white.

War
Has the first sortie been fired in anger?
Why does man of men engage, fights so quick
Never considering the noise, the clangor
Acts of war ever changing, no rubric
Innocence changed, boys to men overnight
Mothers coddle children play underground
Smoke from fulmination shields bright sunlight
War eliminates all sane, births confound
Battles fought above, below, all about
Generals bunker hid, risk soldier life/limb
His view provided by radio shout
Orders followed, moving forward w/ hymn
Question? Which side can fly victorious?
Even in celebration, all with us??

Gentle winds brushing back the tides of fear
Clocks ticking never stopping moving on
Coming close remains far, not even near
Sad for what might have been, but never was
Locked and hidden put away to stay gone
All my dreams now seeming so obsolete
Content to find my way in unknown ground
Where being alone seems bitterly sweet
Tides will come and go, currents will run free
The world sometimes moves at its own pace
Sometimes dreams are just exactly that dreams
Not how fast you run just finish the race
Little girl standing by familiar shore
Not wanting to play adult anymore

Under gray billowing clouds the gulls flew
In the bitter wind when first snowflakes grew
Whipped into funnels to the ground they blew
Filling in cracks between the rocks askew
On the horizon a pale dull sun did drop
And the darkness crept up ‘till the shadows
Converged all around when the day did stop
And stars became celestial rainbows
Huddled brave souls near last glowing embers
Within a ring of rocks was set ablaze
On icy shores our lake in November
One last bonfire to cheer the good ol’ days
A peaceful sound when each wave comes ashore
Was life counting the seasons more and more

About this poem:
Reflections of life along the shores of a big freshwater lake, where many years in our youth were like seasons when all would meet together and party around a large bonfire until the end of each season such as when the darkness and ice of winter came.

Casual will dust fill corners of the mind
Wait still as spiders suspended in time
Keeping open the eyes so love’s not blind
While the heart jumps high over The Sublime
Always wear in the world that youthful smile
Rein in and up lips with those blushing cheeks
Happiness is that which lasts for awhile
Hearty laughter switch with excited shrieks
Make everyday be more adventure glossed
Such no real love would ever compromise
For love’s true seekers never become lost
As portals of time look through dreaming eyes
The day has arrived when beating hearts jump
Flies like Pegasus over Chimera’s stump

here it is, yet another day. my true love has passed away.
finding it very lonely here, without someone i can hold dear.
someone to cuddle with, someone to hold, someone who will make
me feel not quite so old.....
i have a lot of love to give to someone while i still live.
are you out there? I dont know. I keep trying to find you, but we know how that goes....
it would really make my life complete to find you while im still
on my feet.
i need someone to love me, someone to care. i wonder if you are
really out there?
been looking and looking on all of these sites, i search and search
way into the nite.
but no one responds, guess they are just playing games
you dont want what i want. isnt that just the way?
most of you just looking for entertainment on here, not really
looking for one to hold dear.
if you are out there, i dont know where, so i will be alone,
and i really dont care. yes i do, but what else can i do?
but keep trying to find you and not be alone.

About this poem:
i wrote this poem out of frustration and lonliness. its really hard to try to find someone to do the things you missed out on the first time around. while missing your loved one. 50 years is a long time to be together, and now there is just this big hole in my heart. it really isnt enough cuddling with my dogs. i really need someone who cares and who will make me feel like a desirable woman again.

(Sonnet.)
.
I wait for you within Love’s bright sunset,
within your eyes i am lost in Love’s dream,
now we do wait for the coming starlight
travelling to heaven on a moonbeam,
Smile when you see me in Love’s bright sunset,
run into my arms i do feel your grace,
this is the moment love stirs within me,
the moment i see your beautiful face.
I drown in the eyes of Aphrodite,
together we swim within your bright soul,
gently together on love’s horizon,
we walk in sunset towards our Love’s goal.
Come let us join, let us never forget,
the moment divine, by love’s bright sunset.

I looked across the empty barren field
Where the land seemed to lay silent and still
Remembering a time when it once yield
Now everything seems destined to be killed
I knocked on your door then let myself in
Emptiness was found took my breath away
My heart cried "Where oh where are you my friend"
Did you leave before I could come today
Closing the door wasn't easy on me
Had to let the land lay fallow awhile
Sometimes you must just let the world be
You don't just give up and throw in the towel
Returned to the field to plant some more seeds
The harvest is growing don't see a weed

Love Sonnet XI
I crave your mouth, your voice, your hair.
Silent and starving, I prowl through the streets.
Bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me, all day
I hunt for the liquid measure of your steps.
I hunger for your sleek laugh,
your hands the color of a savage harvest,
hunger for the pale stones of your fingernails,
I want to eat your skin like a whole almond.
I want to eat the sunbeam flaring in your lovely body,
the sovereign nose of your arrogant face,
I want to eat the fleeting shade of your lashes,
and I pace around hungry, sniffing the twilight,
hunting for you, for your hot heart,
like a puma in the barrens of Quitratue.
