the summer job (in paradise)

twas a time of fresh worn innocence
eighteen years of age
and the writ of my experience
fell short upon the page
ragged as a student
who had never eaten warm
come in she said and welcome
to the ladies dorm

hardly out of smallburg
green as an apple tree
two dinner plated startled eyes
and jeans without a knee
"you look like a hardy boy"
she told me without scorn
come in she said and welcome
to the ladies dorm

my recollection hazy
of how I slept that night
unable to articulate
my thought with my delight
as beauty slept in rapture
behind oaken doors forlorn
come in she said and welcome
to the ladies dorm

intoxicating creatures
robbed me of my youth
I never fought so lightly
(to tell you the truth)
they made a man of me
strengthening my form
come in she said and welcome
to the ladies dorm

breakfast at the table
my eyes fixed to my spoon
with a dozen or so sirens
laughing at my swoon
and the scent of what I felt heaven was
seemed to be the norm
come in she said and welcome
to the ladies dorm

twenty-nine years later
wife and babies too
I chanced on to return there
my memories to renew
said the angel of uncertainty
three decades on her form
come in she said and welcome..
to the ladies dorm

The world in darkness

THE WORLD IN DARKNESS

Darkness has overcome the world
Uncertainty rules our minds
It seems the goodness in our hearts vanished
Selfishness thrive in abundance
Hasn't the Lord assured us all the time?
That all of these will come to pass
There will be tribulations at first
But in the end the chosen ones will stand?
Why be afraid then?
Why do we let our fear and panic reign?
Just be ready and steadfast
There is nothing we can do but trust
It is only through our faith that salvation is attained
We should know that, if we remained... loyal Only to Him
And followed His path.

I reckon sins got hold of the best of most of us
I know I have been a sinner for sometime
But I know, too, that I changed..I am sure He knows
How I kept my promise of not sinning again, and again..
And so with earnest in my mind, heart and in my soul
I deeply, regrettably wanting to carry the cross
He bore for all of us
And if in the end, I am still one of the Lost..I will still hope,
I will be found...because I always believed...
He is the Only Way and the Life...
Our Lord Jesus..

Amen.

Autumnal Mornings

Darkness reigns
As the crispiness of breath
The chill in the air, increasing
As it collides with the tears
That fall descending from grace

In the midnight hour,
A glimmer of a flame flickers
Searching for warmth
Amid this wretched feeling

With depression leaning towards grief
A parting of ways happens at dawn
Annhiliating my negative neglect and belief
As daylight, the autumn morning begins to yawn
As sunrise and hope for life is reborn

Flowers

Flowers that wipe out our sorrows

Am I hallucinating?
Flowers of varied colors blooming
A testament of beauty that soothes the pain?
Maybe...
I would like to undo these dark thoughts in my mind
I would love to create a world that is of balance
Where there is dark so would there be light
Where there is hate, love must override
And so on..
Is there anyone here who would join me
And scrape off this morbidity?
Or am I all alone?
We are like drowning in the oceans of doom
It has to change, we have to be strong..
So let us go out and plant, I know we can
Flowers that soothes our sorrows and pain
Flowers that make our world see the light
We deserve it, I know we do...
Not just sadness and sorrow
I am all for it,
Are you?

Moving on

When you smiled at me, I lost myself.
You gave me this feeling
that made me overwhelmed.
When your hand was in mine,
I felt totally fine,
And that's the reason
I had to make you mine.
Forever and ever till the end,

The morning comes all too fast,
I'm not prepared at all.
Because I know there is a chance,
You leave me for ever
And you gave it away.
That's why my heart is blue
And my skies are gray.
Will I ever see the light of day?
Will this dark cloud ever go away?
Or will it follow me ever?
Grasp all my joy and strip it away?
NO! I am too bold.
Way too bold to be stuck in the cold.
I am way too strong not to carry on.

gravitational pull

the boat is idle
I'm drinking some tea
I look to the shoreline
thoughts come to me

experimental daydreams
as oft I'm inclined
so loved by the genius
we walk behind

Einstein, I think
imagined a man
struck by twin lightnings
as only he can

equidistant in impact
he stood there upright
simultaneously struck
to his left and his right

watching all this
and moving indeed
a girl on a train
blurs by at great speed

her train was the distance
between night and day
acceleration is gravity
as Albert would say

but the girl in the carriage
saw the bolt to her right
hit a fraction before
the other one's flight

relatively speaking
he'd stumbled on truth
and I thought of the tracks
that led to my youth

and a man struck hard
by a bolt from the blue
that town was me..
and that woman was you

With brush in hand he paints from mind
A picture come to light

Paint here Paint there

To view his artwork
Creative his he

A painting a picture a
Oil work for all to see
He's a art collector a painter

Bittersweet

When I leave this Earth that I have walked upon...
Will I be glad or sad I'm gone?...
If there's a chance to return again...
Dare I come back?.....God knows I've sinned...

The bitter salts of this cursed Earth...
Taste sweet to children tricked since birth...
Sour things seemed sweet to me...
Such things I never knew would hurt...

Ice isn't warm, cold cannot heat...
You won't get tricked, get tricked like me...
I'll look for you in Earth's worst times...
Tell you the truth.....salt isn't sweet.....

DENVER IN DECEMBER

Denver in December,
With the snowfall lookin' pretty,
Denver in December,
What an incredible city

Such a mind-blowing town
Snow capped Rockies to the west,
It's such a God given joy,
To sample Denver's best,

And it's legal to soar like an eagle,
Yeah it's legal to fly on high in freedom,

If you've never been,
To Denver in December,
It's a dream-like high,
You will always remember,

There's a song about,
A Rocky Mountain high,
Head to Denver in December,
And you'll see just why

And it's legal to soar like an eagle,
Yeah it's legal to fly on high in freedom,

Denver in December,
16th Street Mall's scene,
People laugh a mile high
Come find exactly what that means,

Denver In December,
Where the people are cool,
So when you go there, man,
Don't you be no freakin' fool,

Denver in December,
Where the sun shines all night,
And when the moon kisses the sun,
What an out-of-sight sight,

And it's legal to soar like an eagle,
Yeah, it's legal to fly on high in freedom,

Denver in December,
I will always remember,

Denver, In December.

they don't

Two parallel lines never cross
Even if you start drawing them at same time
A circle is a circle
Green leaves are not blue

A typewriter with handwriting letters
Can be useful
Would be nice
And easy

9th line of this poem
10th line of this poem
11th line of this poem
And this is the last line
