Nature

The Priceless Gift of Nature

Amidst the darkness we are going through
there is something that is constant in our hearts
that is the priceless beauty of nature
That is always within our sight

Let us give thanks to our Lord.
His Art is for us to Behold.

Amen

Memories

Where the shadows faded in the deepest places,
Truth yet kept me flying just beneath the wind.
Crossed my mind from inside, vanished sleeping phases,
Sorry for my future, even if I've sinned.

Her Cosmic Dance

A crafted gift that eternal hath designed,
A half minded wind blew through the face
A drop of water kissed the cheeks...
An unshaped darkness descended,
A thunder struck from the heavens,
A mystic poem is in the offing by nature,
Earth smiled with her thunderous roar.

Ecstatic mind sang with the branches of trees.
Left & right they swung with the dancing wind,
Clouds awaited the god's order with patience- endless:
Delighted Sun withdrew his mighty force
And the communion of earth & rain began........

SUSPENDED...

I tried and i failed, they tried and success came, i did it but it wasnt worth it and when they did it, a legend was bon, now that its the final countdown Down we panic, how cruel has this world treated us, when we finally found freedom smile struck our faces, we never thought of the inevitable perils targeting us, i loathem, the world the inhabitants, the insides have died, cut me down like a flower of pain, bringing my soul from the inside out, and what do i have to say bout it?

crazy times

Silent but glossy drops of rain that fall
into the psyche of my mind
Transform into the forbidden depths, bringing splashes of clarity
Revelling in the wake of a sudden variation of questions that are
Raised with brows that seem incredulous at the simple answer
That is given, a simple balance or fluctuance that rides between
The two sought after answers of the battle I'm riding through....

Pieces of a chess board scatters my energies, having to recenter myself daily to work out what I want, to compromise what everyone wants from me, as a angel on my shoulder, and an devil on the other shoulder persuading me into a temptation that should never happen yet it does, always the incessant wish for change and yet it doesn't happen....

I'm the catalyst to the change...

...introspection spikes as i put my words into motion, sadness renders from all directions as the battle is won but the war isn't over yet, still gotta live through tomorrow where it begins all over again, frustrations rise higher than anticipated, people want more from me for what I'm prepared to give, my mind just can't take it anymore...

Is option out of life the easy way out? No, its not. Nor is giving up. Only one way to go which is onwards and upwards, forwards with might, for that way, only things in my life will change. And maybe, just maybe, some joy will come of it...

If only I could

if only I could

silence I invoke
to muffle the explosion of my pain
piercing the very core of my soul
our memories
is now
like a double blade knife
piercing my fragile heart

my thoughts are drowning
in the ocean of my tears
I would do anything
anything to let you know
you have always been here
beside me
even in your absence

your memories never left me.

but if could forget you
I would
if only I could

Stargazing the Neon Lights

Neon lights gleam as the green fireflies soar, dance
Amid the brimstone butterflies that chase me over the rainbow
To the very dream that one hoped to save
A million pieces that cast one to shame as my soul remains
Broken from the darkness of abuse, purging my emotions
Into the moonless night where the stars seem to only glimmer
Like English tears that fall along the cheekbone of a girl
As she sees more than most and understands the presence
Of an old soul, wherein the hope lays a flickering ember of
Warmth as it replaces the chill within my heart
As I sit back, relax, watching the skies shine with stars
And as the starlight wink back at me, I remember
That love remains solid when your heart is connected
With mine

What is love?

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
“I don't think so” she quickly said out loud.
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
“I know but you're just saying that”.

What have I got to do or say to get you to take me seriously?
“Try being yourself once in a while, not someone you think I'll like”
I'll be whatever you want me to be!
“Exactly but that won't be you”.

It's been going on like this for months.
She wants me to be myself.
I want her to take me seriously.
It got to a point when she said “If you loved me you'd do it for me”.
I said “If you loved me you wouldn't ask”.

What exactly is love? It's something I've thought about over and over.
She thinks she has the answer.
“What is love then” I asked her?
“It's the yearnings you get when someone you love is away from you” she said determinedly.“The melting sensation when they kiss you and the feelings of hatred when you see them talking to another woman”.
“That's love? Well I get all those feelings as well” I offered.

“You're just saying that” she said.

About this poem:
I have long been a romantic but don't think I have ever truly been in love.

I think I might have been in a sort of love when I was about 13, 14 or 15 and had huge crushes on several girls at that stage of my life but was that really love?

I know that many of my relationships were based on 'lust' not 'love' but as I don't really know what love is can I be sure. Anyway this poem, such as it is, is based on my frustration of not really knowing whether I have experienced love in my life as yet.
