she

From monuments high
On pillars of stone
She stands alone
Her gaze

Her features
Her sensual body set in stone
Frome granite stone
Her gaze fixed

She stands
For all to see
Model set in stone For she is the attraction
The model for all to see

Impolite dreams

I pulled myself
From the dark abyss
Of my morning dreams
My brain my restless CPU
Has scrambled bits and pieces
Of my thoughts
Into the colourful
Collection of randomness
I tried to remember it
But the shadows of my dreams
Whispered unspoken words
And fled from me again
Giggling impolitely

A Voice from across the River

Greg Sexton

"A Voice from across the River"

I wonder if it is like this for you...
Watching the shoreline....
laughing at the dance of the the crow.....
the beauty of the trees ...
Hearing the intricate rhythms of the crickets,
...the cicadas ....
...and how they must give us a hint of joy...
Even amidst the most somber of days.

I wonder if you could love the depth of this writer, and laugh at the antics of the thieving alley cat....

From the reflection in your eyes,
I see you've always been strong,
your soul guides you ,
even when your highs...
were so very low.

The salty mist from these shores have soaked my skin..
watching the moon,
and listening for your voice .....

Touching your hand I've yet to touch... a gift of grace from the gusts of coastal winds.

It is here that I sense your presence,
I hear your whispers..
Your laughter...
your footsteps.

In the evening moonlight ...i sense your candor, It is your Light...only borrowed by the Moon.

It's the "real" that we love.
The insatiable desire to know it...
to taste it ...
to be it...

Loves finds us all ...
at Her own pace...
Not ours.

Just as a soul must find its own voice,
It's own reflection,
revealed in word,
In deed,
In glance...
With each and every thought.

It's the "real" that we love.
The insatiable desire to know it...
to drink of it...
to be it.

Perhaps one could tally it as an obsession, But I know Love only as a living prayer.

.......a living moment suspended in time...
every bit as real as it ever was...
Both ancient and new.

This is the voice I hear.... from across the river.

This is the Voice I Hear.

CONTENPLATIONS

Sitting here behind my window,
watching the anger of the rain
pelting down as if in pain.
The wind doing its best
to blow it over the hills
to the forest in the west.
My latter years spent pondering
sitting here watching the world go by.
Memories pouring as fast
as the rain, into my brain.
Had it all been worthwhile?
Such negative thoughts for me,
myself, always full of new adventures.
Had I enjoyed this ride?
I can only say, there is more to come.
So cannot truthfully answer.
As the rain pelts down,
cleaning my windows,
giving me a clearer view.

Waiting...

I was waiting for my time to come, to rest my weary head
And looked upon the things I’ve done, and never looked ahead
To times to come, when days are done, when we lie alone in bed
What does it mean, this life alone, when all is done and said.

WORDS YOU SAID

Words that you said and no longer say,
Words like a sun that burned me,
Crazy eyes from blowing wind
In eyes that were mine, and happier.

Words you said and said
Secrets that were slow at dawn,
Imperfect, murmured promises
While our kisses allow.

Words that say, meaningless,
No way, but just because they were
That brings the calm of the stars
At night that associates to my ear ...

Words that do not say, nor are yours,
Who died, who no longer exist
That are mine, only mine, because they persist
In the memory that drags through the streets.

I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW!!!!

Like a dark cloud you darkened may days, shaded out all of my light.
Now that your gone..how much better I feel, all of the wrong is made right.
Darness dispair ,I thought that you cared..but in the light things are seen as they should, you were just using me..oh why couldn't I see?I'dd take it all back if I could.
Saddness and gloom, how you have been doomed, were the crys that came from within..So foolish was I to heed to your cry..and take on your burdens and sin.
Never again will you darken my door, never again not like before.
You chose to go,YOU walked away..and I'll never again have something to say.
Dont you remember you did this before, and I was a fool to let you back in.Now again we are here and wont be again, wont go where I've already been.
You brought me such joy, and then came the pain..I will never fall sucker to you ,not me..not ever again.

Sensuality

smell the night
draw its essence deep
for in this hour
I am this hour

taste the night
whose delights run naked
in the canyons of the vanquished
as surely we shall fall
in the fibre light tonight

Purple Moon

Out of the darkness does bring
Those hazy midsummer dreams
Where the river turns land into mud
Hearing our names in an echo
Dreaming under your purple moon

Without no fires or stars ablaze
Dimly lighting the mountain stones
Slowly crescent around a misty pond
The stilling silence that you bring
Dreaming under your purple moon

Letting go all my heavy weight
Flying like a lightening bug
Dancing in your light forevermore
Smiling at all the tranquility
Dreaming under your purple moon

Dandelion Diplomacy

Watch for those first detonations of dandelions
Exploded across the fresh green grass
The air is stirring like a highway
Of speeding bees and dragonflies
Like the drones buzzing overhead
Each equipped with a thousand eyes
Little cameras capturing many images
Capturing my aspirations about life
How much machines imitate nature
Life is an amazing circuitry of living cells
We marvel about anything we can make
While becoming trapped in a smog of success
Making all of this world feel in distress
Yet both for creatures near and far
Is adaptation and survival enough for all
If the future becomes our rally call
The battle to discover the secrets of life
Before we destroy it all in its entirety
Ignorance that proceeds enlightenment
Is such a cost none of us can afford
So watch out once again this spring
For the first detonation of dandelions
Exploding across the fresh green grass
