as the light breaks through the window , i see it.
but i was already awake.
it lights the room , but no one is there.
i can no longer hear you breathe next to me , or see you in the dark.
because you are now gone.
i used to wake to hear you breathe , see you next to me .
i have done that for 40 years , now is no more.
in the light the room is still , silent, lonely.
no sounds , no more that one echoed around the room.
only the early light dances across from side to side now.
with eerie silence i rise and i sit on the bed , where once you where beside me.
only memory's now to hold and exist.

There are many moving parts
You may simple not know
Numerous twists and turns
The future is often murky
Where does one’s reason reside
What things remain inside
Reflections on our strengths
Comparing to our weaknesses
Bridled only by our own ambition
Knowing where we should thrive
Better to find our own happiness
And be completely honest with life

About this poem:
Reflections on the future through the proverbial lens of a clock.

The Grandfather clock struck midnight
In the distance, acknowledged, in my awareness
The rest of the street remained quiet,
Except for the sounds of the leaves
As they crunched beneath my feet
A gleam of moonlight shone through the window
Within the gap between the purple curtains
The climbing roses descended along the back
Of the settee, dust brushed beneath my fingertip
As I swirled my name on the mahogany surface
Of the sideboard
In that one moment, memories are captured
Tears fell, like raindrops, stirring the sadness
In my soul, long forgotten times of old
That had filled my psyche with stories of gold
The finess of fear had danced with the scent of
Death as it participated in a parody of a spoiled Life
Style was not its finer moments when the envy arose
From the depths of darkness, toying with the devils' mits
Clasped in chains, my body had driven away all inklings
Of Depression, of doubt, already, too early on in life
Now there wasn't much time left to think about it
All in its entirety of darkness did parry itself with fright
But it only showed indefinitely...
When I decided to turn on the light

Funky went his own mind!,
Freaky was because - of this - very kind!, -
As they set sail,
Into their own troubled seas, -
Lost all reason to embrace,
They gave up this - madcap - the human race,
And set their worn, torn sails,
Deep - into space, --
Farther out, deeper in,
Freaky made many,
Funky lost many friends, -
Until Funky told Freaky,
"I think it's time to go!, -
Freaky said, "At least do one or five?!",
"Look at this desolate place!",
"We've brought it back alive!", -
And just imagine how the story goes?!, --
Sad sang the saddest tunes,
And then one day Sad met Blue,
And was there love?,
Maybe something we always knew?,
But refused to know?!, -
They grew closer,
Like a setting sun,
As they set their worn, torn, dreamers sails,
Deep into bygones, be-gone! --
Blue said to Sad, "You seem so depressed?!",
"You bring magic in so many ways!",
"Wait?!", - "What is this?!", -
Sad took a step back,
Only to compromise,
Has the sadness of Sad,
Gazed into Blue's eyes, -
"I must sail alone!?",
"Perhaps better off - if we - go on our own?!",
And just imagine how the story goes?, --
"Getting close to four?!",
"Well, we can thrive!",
The barkeep said, "Open the doors!",
Then - rolled in and up! - Hip and Jive!, -
Capable of doing about anything!,
They sat back - with remains - of this!?, -
Present, future, and to become the past,
As they set their worn, torn, better times sails,
Deep into knowing this may be the last?!, --
Jive said to Hip, "Life is looking swell!",
"Just look around!?",
"All of us are here!", -
"Yeah", Hip replied,
"I can tell!",
"Funky and Freaky - Sad and Blue - seem to be doing quite well!?", -
Life really never changes,
We must move on to show,
Sad wings of destiny,
And just imagine how the story goes?!, ----------------

If I were a flower
Would I wither away
Or would I flourish
To the light today
To see the bee
Come to me
My scent so sweet
To make honey
O such joy
I bring to my love
Like the sight of a dove
Time is short and goes so fast
From in a field
To in a vase
So be like me
Live freely
Long may you be
Forever happy

At the end of the path, when the rain of time will have washed away my name from the stone, when your memories will have vanished and gold turn into dark silver, will you still be beside me ?

Human beings are inherently Social creatures. we like gather
Group, and share in memories and experience, and we find a lot
Of unique ways.so times ways to do so. As times have changed,
Technology advances have exploded into view, and new forms of
Communication were created and we’ve gotten less social in many ways, isolated were created, though connected, digitally tethered but Adift.still, we gether for aot of same reasons, and as ways, insolated were created, and we get older, they all tend to be centered around food and drink, and entertainment ranging from bewfests to concerts, movies to plays, house parties to clubs.
While all of these are amazing ways to connect, to combine with other like-madied and inspired people, they aren’t the only options And sometimes, a subtle shift in how social needs with that leaves us completely breathless?what if we shared memories that were centered not on food and drink, but on drisovery, on awe? What if we opened our eyes just a bit wider and saw so much more together?

The sun rises and the sun sets
and the darkness comes to stay
with stars appearing and brightly shining light from faraway
we are all here in time , but it seems only for a day
what we may find or keep can never fad away
things may come and things may go
when and where we will never know
it is all part of life's great plan and all we can do is go along with the flow.

And for this presentation!,
For all this mad frustration!,
For this price - kindly be seated in this room!, -
And the good for nothing!,
That all made us something!,
Only to march to a different tune!, ---
-- And being alone,
It's not all that bad?,
Sometimes being sad,
Sometimes glad, ---
And for the servants that are serving you wine!,
All dressed in white!,
Wearing crooked smiles!,
Perhaps its medication time - again?!, -
Always want!,
But never need!,
Fall hard!,
But land on your feet!,
Only to march to a different tune! ---
-- And being alone,
May I speak bold?,
Rarely warm,
Mostly cold, --
Perhaps I'm speaking way to soon?!,
As you're not really so alone here!,
In this room?!,
Maybe love is not that far away?!, -
But who am I to even tell?!.
To tell such madness?!,
Unless you've been to Hell?!,
So many times we've all been there!, ---
--And being alone,
Motionless, but we knew?,
And the game remains the same,
Only to march - to a different tune, ----------------

The castle on the hill's consciousness dreamed
Of a new era, where time itself stands still
In this vortex where light and life is well met
Throughout the age of history, imposters might apply
With swords that parry, coinside with the scholar's pen
Warring words that might cause conflict deep inside
The walls of this castle that has withstood the sweat
Built from man's own hands and against the oceans' wave
Weathered but beaten conflict, strength within, pride comes
Before the fall, that questions the ownership of mine
Discernment made, as to who sits on that silver throne
Picking up the pieces of the jigsaw, as the debris
That was once called home
And its this castle particularly that has secrets to hide
Concealment trapped in its own kin lies, a traitor among us
Setting a trail of embers, as the phoenix does indeed emerge
Tornados of fire that clear the path through the conflict free
Leaving the travellers on the path aware in its wake
After making the resolute decision that these travellers make
Hearts heavy, they turn back towards home, knowing
That nobody in this time can pick up their mobile 'phones
By the ember that rises higher with the breeze
Bringing the traitor in question down to his knees
The travellers, warriors in their own making, stated
And created a warm fire bursting forth from the pit of their bellies
Wading through the wreckage and healing through the swelling
A pen that wields swords with magnimamous wit
That can parry as any warrior can with inspiration, tremendously lit
Will fire the hearts of many that read this through with warmth from above
That feeling which unites us is indeed called
Love
