Between us

Eye contact is a thing of the past
when technology is growing up fast
No longer for us to use vocals to speak
for some label you as a freak

So send a text or a tweet
Works wonders and you look neat
one text after another and you're in the game
No worries everyone is doin the same !

Life and Liberty

Life doesn’t really know time
When it’s time to be born
When it’s time to die
Life only knows how to live
When it’s time to thrive
When it’s time to survive
Love never knows when
When it will happen again
When it starts or ends
Love only know happiness
When it’s finally found
When you keep it around
Liberty is not a new idea
When we are free to choose
When we have nothing to lose
Liberty is what sets us free
When you can be you
When I can be me
Freedom will always ring
When you find your voice to sing
When you feel the peace it brings
Freedom is worth fighting for
When it’s time for peace
When it’s time for war
Truth doesn’t always get told
When it’s left in the cold
When it’s outside the fold
Truth only knows its source
When a thought makes it’s course
When gravity is held in force

Life, love, liberty, freedom, and truth
Is all the evidence you need for proof

My Broken Window

Outside my broken window, the light begins to fade ...
at least that's how the evening tide makes it seem...
I look into my closed mind ,
to see if I can walk the night ...
to bridge the gap ,
to keep close to me ,
the warm, life giving light...
I look outside my window broken ...
and what remains of this life ,
kneading and treading the old paths,
cognizant and privy to the new ....
with a measure of heart,
standing...with shields of Faith,
Hope and Love,
I will traverse the landscapes before me,
those paths most welcome...and those not.

My life as a young girl

my dad was a farmer
and so was his father
probably even the whole generations
of his ancestors as he remembered

he told me all of his past
how difficult and hard life was
he hardly had a full meal when he was young
nor had shoes and or clothes to go to town

my situation was no different
same hardships and same element
in fact I remember it probably was even harder
I knew it very well I will never forget

but love and kindness my parents were full
they never ran out of compassion for one and all
they never complained nor expressed any disdain
for our being the poorest in the whole town

looking at our state, it made me think
I promised myself and told my parents
I would go to school, I would not fail
and change our life for the better

and so I did, with the grace of our Lord,
worked the hardest filled with courage
it wasn't easy my road was full of challenges
but I hurdled it all and never gave up

so here I am paying a tribute to my parents
to my ancestors and to the legacy they laid
no matter where I am and no matter what I have attained
I will always be grateful to the land I came from,

the beautiful Philippines, and to my parent's farm.

I will go home...

Note: My daughter Karen who is my eldest have always convinced me tirelessly to go back home and I am now set to do just that. Her family has decided to go and settle there for good and I couldn't be happier for them. Since farming was and is always be in my blood, maybe, that is my Destiny that is yet to be fulfilled to the fullest. I love farming and I will never lose sight to my past no matter how poor I was. I am still the same, only older and wiser, I hope. Thank you Lord for all the blessings you bestowed to us especially to my parents and those that were once as poor as me, but made it better with the grace of our Lord.

the clumsy novice

a young novice was very clumsy..all what he undertook, turned into desaster..ashamed and unhappy,he went to master oshiba and said:
respected master,Iam so awkward in domestic life and during zazen,
I have the feeling to be like a poor monkey!-
-well..replied master oshima, from now make the things on the worse
way you can..if you let fall the statue of buddah on the floor laugh about that!-if you cook some horrible sticky rice,be proud about that!
the young novice was really surprised, but follows the instructions.
some days later, radiant with happiness he came to master oshiba and said:
-honorable master, its fantastic,I was so clever in my tasks and
during zazen I felt like buddah amitataba!
-well..retorted master oshiba:
-now make simply your duty without any unopportune questions
about good, evil and consequences of your acts,
make of each instant a new profitable incarnation and you will acquire
a knowledge of the ephemeral..

EYES By Paul David Powers

Eyes
By Paul David Powers,
Yahoo

They say that the eyes are the windows of the soul,
and what is your story, if words could be told!
Hey are you happy or are you sad,
Tell me my dear, please don’t be mad!

I look at your face to see what it says,
wonder what your thinking in that pretty head!
Is that a smile or is it a grin,
Tell me my love how do I begin!

For life is too short to miss something good,
wanna be your friend and lover if I could!
Cause love it is fleeing, hard to catch now and then,
With just a hello, conversations begin!

When I look in your eyes, I see the real need,
that you have been hurting, let me in, will you please"
Let me say the right words, to make things alright,
just let me hold you, all through the night!

Cause I’m really looking, for my soulmate indeed,
that special one, to give what I need!
I’m tired of the past and its pain leave behind,
Let’s spread out our wings to soar and to fly!

Burning Forests

How can I make this up to you
An old woman called Gaia
I took from you all I pleased
More a robber than messiah
Finding a field full of treasure
A drink from your fresh brook
From the nectar of your bees
The honey made of your flowers
I washed in your cold streams
I dug into your fertile earth
Planting a vineyard of pleasure
I caught fish and trapped game
Cooking them over an open fire
I nourished my body, soul, and mind
Never once did I pay for a thing
Because you were everything to me
Everything I would ever need
Now I look back and wonder
Whatever happened to my plunder
For now it is my turn as well
To give back as well I can
But there is nothing left asunder
Just a life that has perished
When all such life so flourished
Now only the orange smoke haze
Drifts over darkened charred remains

The Dunes

Shifting like sand in a porthole
Colliding like particles of matter
Creating dust that rise in a sky
Cooling into long vapor trails
Stretching as far as my eye
Washing waters making lines
Sculpting little parallel ridges
Laying side by many sides
Shifting stretching under my feet

what I feel for you

Sometimes the thoughts in my head seem to explode
Sometimes my heart is locked and has no code
To be opened again, to beat the right song

I found a small light of a candle
The darkness can be fought away
But sometimes you come and blow it out
And let me down, Darling

Sometimes you make me feel so lost inside
Sometimes you make me cry tears I cannot hide
You don’t make it easy to love you condition less

I would never council, what I feel for you
I would never lose my love to you
I would never regret something I did for you
But you don’t make it easy to love you

Reality

A person is never fully known
we never get to know the mind of a human being
but when you fall in love, you experience that you think you know everything.
We never know ourselves when we love
we never know love when we try
we just play the truth, because we hate knowing about falsehood
We are so equal that inequality distances us from reality.
we walked aimlessly and found answers
we sail without the moon and lose the opposite direction.
We accomplish feats and we hate at least once in life
but it is not enough when we detect that everything is a lie.
Life is just a passage of clouds,
and at times it seems to us to grow from a large tree.
If we reach eternity
we are applauded by angels who suffered with us
the abuses of a story Endless.
What are we?
We are the fruit of what we have never known
