Malicious Minds

Where smoke is found
There is always fire
Undoubtably or not
Trouble always finds you
When you least expect it

Prowling on the catwalks
Eyes peering into shadows
Ears touching the walls
Watching and listening
For signs of witchcraft

Real or imaginary
No one is ever alone or
Really that innocent
Because the cameras lens
Is always searching

Whenever you get away
Wherever you need to go
To the mountains or forest
You’re only as safe
As you feel inside

About this poem:
Poem about accusations and superstitions and leaving ancient worries behind. Seeking solitude in nature always refreshes my inner sense of peace and tranquility. Much of modern society is conducted under the auspices of surveillance and security. Thanks to all the great poets, past and present, that have made CS a haven for many to explore and share a common love for poetry and free expression of thoughts that generate so much passion and feeling.

Thanks to all my fellow poets for helping me to reach my '600' poem milestone. I started writing poetry on this site ten years ago after a particularly painful breakup and I have never looked back.

Come Into My Dreams

Soft as a dream,
like mist on a feather.
Come into my dreams
and stay there forever.

While you're not in my arms,
I'll dwell in your soul.
Dispelling your loneliness
making you whole.

I can't touch your lips,
But, I can touch your heart.
Our spirit entwined,
though we're miles apart.

When the silver stars blaze,
when the pale moonlight steams,
when a world stands between us,
come into my dreams...

"Long Walks"

Long Walks...
Bring Rusty Railroad Tracks,
Crisp cool nights.
Old Wooden Train Bridge,
Overlooking moonlit lake,
My hand tight in yours

Another Fairytale

Finding your 'soul mate '.

The world makes you believe that is a 'thing.'

After getting married twice, and believing in that, at this old age I realised.

There are a lot of people in this world that could make you happy, and who you are meant to be with at the time in your life that you have them.

But the, 'One special person your soul searched for ' is a fantastic fantasy, something to hope and dream for, it keeps you going forward, and trying with everything you have every time.

But it's a fairytale, beautiful, but just a fairytale...

the end

Feeling it loom
Impending doom

Holding
Not knowing

Controlling
By molding

The shaming, maiming the blaming
Life shadow is waning

See future fading
Cursed burden containing

Close more comes
Filling the heart disabling the lungs

Blaming and shaking
Never show the hating

Humble he stumbles the world at stake
Man faces his making in its wake

Lost inside a tide
Rushing stampede look to hide

Nothing to try
Lie pain and sigh

Hit and bash another one smash
A second peace, fleeting dash

Last words unspoken
The mind left behind broken

In vain a claim lips blame but tame
Now all has gone the soul a slain

With a nod and stare shell hear no care
Leaving to fair into nowhere an existence cutout never there

Hugs

Can I just hug the world please?

Some days the world hands you a slice of magic, and if nothing else comes from that it's okay.

To be able to hold onto that for a moment is worth it.

The Hurt

Have i ever loved, yes
were you ever loved, yes
how do we know
if we were the one

We keep on trying
we keep on pushing
God! we want this
Yet... it hurts.

Love takes time
We, take time
Is it worth it?!
In time, we will know,

her question (my answer)

she looks at me, mid pub, and asks
in a way, rhetorical
as if she knows something
I don't and will never

"why do you live on a boat?"

for the sounds of raindrops
above my sleeping head
for my conversation with dawn
always the same woman
uniquely dressed

for ebb for flow for light
light such as it is
it informs, comforts, and listens
for breeze, whipped

for a wild mirror
pitched at an angle
past me
to show truth

for the lone swan
whose visits mean more
to me than it

for the years that should have taken
yet didn't.

for the woman I'll know I'll meet
who speaks in the dialect
of unaware kindness
dresses in the clothes of realism
and sings in the key of smiling

for ropes for knots
bowline
single sheet bends
carrick bends
reef
anchor hitch

arteries around
this chamber of peace

Reproch

I found too many
Out there
Asperser,
Quite educated
From school/college though
But
They seem will never amend
Themselve,
They will still write blogs
And condem nearly every one creative,
This is so
Disgusting
And these people
Never come personally
To disclose their own,
They despise others instead verbally and graphically,

May God forgive them.
