The Spell Has Broken

Spell has broken, magic is all gone,
The moon has lost that old special charm.
Guess some things aren't meant to last that long.

In this old world, magic's running thin.
There is no way romance's gonna' win.
Hard to believe it has ever been.

Sweet enchantment gone away for good.
Who would have seen that it ever could?
Should have known it, never thought it would.

Saw it coming, still tried to pretend.
Wanted to think it would never end.
Magic left us, won't return again.

YOU GAVE ME REASONS TO LIVE

Its been years since you have been gone
But it feels like yesterday
Time has moved so slowly
With little conviction anyway
But I hope you have now found happiness
But I hope you have found peace
I hope you have found pleasure
In all that you seek

I am sorry for the times I walked away
Confused, frustrated, and words were hard to say
And when things got tough
I found it all easier this way
Can you ever forgive me
The foolish man I be
I thank you for loving me

You gave me reason to live
You gave me reason to cry
You taught me how to give
The answers I now know why
You gave me reasons to live
Unselfish but true
So many reasons
Must be why God created you

Saying I am sorry wont fill this void I face
All the lonely nights alone
Never to wake and see your face
Demons torment me day and night
Just lose my way cant seem to find the light
Where does one begin to start
Just an emptiness to the soul of my heart

About this poem:
was writen sometime ago, i guess i use poetry, music as a key to my soul, it was the worse time of my life, We have all been there
loved and lost, it is better to have loved, embraced love than not at all, because without feelings, emotion, passion, whats life really about, and what is ones purpose, I believe there is somebody out there for each and everyone, who deserves respect, but most of all deserves to be loved...................................

Jobless Blues

Verse I

Was doin' good, my eagle flyin' high,
Yeah, doin' good, my eagle flew so high,
Then all at once that well it just ran dry.

Chorus

Can't find no work now, don't know what to do,
There ain't no work, what am I s'posed to do?
Just one more fool to sing these jobless blues.

Verse II

My unemployment lasted for a while,
Yeah, unemployment saved me for a while,
Now it's all gone an' bills are pilin' high.

Verse III

Not on the street but guess it won't be long,
Not homeless yet but can't be very long,
Til landlord say it's time for movin on.

Verse IV

Worked all my life, ain't never been this way,
I've worked so hard, how could it be this way?
With nothin' left to keep the wolves at bay.

What's To Become Of Us?

Verse I

Pow'rs that be play politics,
To them we're only pawns.
Glories past won't help with this,
Those days have come and gone.

Chorus

Our dreams all turned to dust.
To feed their power lust,
They have betrayed our trust.
What's to become of us?

Verse II

Their posturing position,
Self-serving one and all,
Leading us to destruction,
We're headed for a fall.

Verse III

There must be some solution,
To stop this downhill slide.
Without some intervention,
The end is suicide.

Empty Arms

Verse I

Across the waves I flew to you.
I got to hold you for a while.
Don't regret it for a moment,
And looking back I have to smile.
To stay with you was all I wished,
Though this the fates would not allow.
My one desire is out of reach,
These arms just ache for you right now.

Chorus

My heart is filled with love for you.
So captivated by your charms.
I live for when we meet again,
To hold you in my empty arms.

Verse II

The trip was long and wearying.
My hitchhike home was blazing hot.
But true pain comes from deep inside,
And missing you sure hurts a lot.
Our time together was too short,
But we'll get back again somehow.
Until we can I'm missing you,
These arms just ache for you right now.

Illusions And Realities

People act like they are so far apart.Even though the Spirit of God unites them at the heart. They have nothing, but chaos in their minds.War and hatred is the lie that blinds.Preachers are saying that they preach the "good news".Then they instill fear and condemnation to the spiritually abused.Political figures say for equal human rights they care. Then they start a war at the drop of a hair.Big corporations say that their employees they are for. Then with political blessings our jobs are no more. The corporations, government, and religious systems are run by the corrupt minds of men.Though when God says stop this will all come to an end. When Jesus returns you'll be surprised how it will be.Not through the sky,but through you and me.Then we will walk bringing true peace across this Earth.Being mothers giving true peace a real rebirth.Teaching and filling their hearts with love. Then the preachers and political figures will lay down their Bibles and guns.Everybody will have exactly what they need. And the big corporations will lose their motivation for greed.Greed and corruption shall not last.In just a short while these will be things of the past. Those that have been first shall be last and the last shall be first.Gods' people would have endured the worst. Then by Gods' grace all of humanity shall realize they're free.Because what has been reality will become an illusion and the illusion shall be reality.

About this poem:
It is about the misconceptions and lies that people tend to believe about Earths' corporate, political, and religious systems and of the evils and atrocities that they're actually capable of and carrying through with. And it is also about the return of Christ and in the surprising way he will do it and the opposite effect that He will have on things compared to how they are being run by the corrupted people in power right now.

Livin' Like I'm Livin'

I'm tired and frustrated
I'm getting what I've given.
How can I keep goin' on
Livin' like I'm livin'.
I am God's child
Part of his plan.
How come I feel
Less of a man.
I know I could do better
We always can.
I thought I put in enough
Time to understand.
But it's your plan LORD
Maybe I'm not supposed to achieve.
All the thing's in my life
That I thought I'd need.

About this poem:
A time when I questioned myself to the point of, REALLY HOW CAN I KEEP THIS CRAP UP, and expect something different to happen. Thinking I was doing the RIGHT THING only to realize at times it's just not my call but GOD'S WILL that guides me from here to there.
GOD BLESS.

Sharing a Song

Verse I

Get out the map and plan our trip,
Jump in the car and drive away.
Hand on your knee, wind in our hair,
Workin' is done it's time to play.

Chorus

We share a song,
And sing along.
Just me and you,
We rock we two.
I ride, you drive,
Feel so alive.
As we roll 'long,
And share a song.

Verse II

Our bags been packed for days on end,
This is what we've been waiting for.
We'll take our time and tool along,
See what the road has got in store.

Verse III

Between the songs we turn it down,
So we can hear what will be said.
It's luxury for you and me,
To talk about the days ahead.

You turned my world around

I was searching but I couldn't find
that little piece of safety for my mind
I'd had enough the grief , you can relate
there seemed to be no reason to debate
I felt as I was sinking: hope fading fast
and then I started thinking ...
this breath could be my last
but then you turned my world upside down
made a smile where there was once a frown
picked me up instead of putting me down
yeah you turned my world upside down.
Now the sun is shining bright
your love has rescued me from the night
took me captive without a fight
can I win this?
yeah, I think I might.....
cause you turned my world upside down
you spoke so loud but never made a sound
gave me hope when none was found
yeah, you turned my world up side down
yeah you turned me upside down
got my head just spinning round and round
you're the best thing ever, I have found
yeah. you turned my world upside down.

Sun Coming Out

Verse I

The darkness had us in its grip,
For oh, so many years.
We feared to move for we might fall,
The night alone in tears.

Choirus

It's been a cold gray moring so far,
But the sun is coming out now.
We got through the long dark night.
Don't ask I don't know how.
It's been a cold gray moring so far,
But the sun is coming out now.

Verse II

The dawn it came all damp and chill,
But better than the dark.
We looked around with blinking eyes,
A landscape bleak and stark.

Verse III

The black and gray have been replaced,
With warmth and light instead,
And now the sun is shining through,
On better days ahead.
