Alive

Theres rain falling down
outside.
I can hear the world crying
tonight.
Maybe its real.
Maybe its in my mind.
Maybe im lying
im alive.

Are we alive?
Are we dreaming?

I feel the sky screaming
inside.
Anger and thunder driving
the light.
It'll hit.
It'll crash.
They can worry
we will survive.

The Ice cracks, fire screams
the world, its feeling again
and we, oh we, were standing
tall and alive

we all die
we're alive
we are dreaming
we're alive

Wind cools the heat
a calm thats needed.
Hear the quiet
take a breath.
Be steady.
Be ready.

no peace
without fight
no life
without death
no reason
without emotion
no courage
without fear

we are dreaming alive

About this poem:
How do you know your alive?
Do you know when you are dreaming?
Does it matter which is which?
Perhaps its all perception. Perhaps our dreams are just as much reality while we are in them.
And in both cases, it is up to us to live in them.

I believe this world is worth waking up too, and going to sleep for.
I believe this world dreams just as we do.

...a while with you

If You Wanna Come Near
Me
Come With A Smile
We Will Then Walk Togather
Togather A Mile

If You Wanna Come Near
Me
Come With A Style
We Will Then Sit Togather
Togather A While

Tears Rolling Down

Tears rolling down
To my lips
Rolling down in silence
Rolling for years
And for years
For thos touch
And a dream of
Touching your
Love-Lock
For a while in dark
In desparate desire
Of staying with you
Alone
For years and
For those uncontrolled
Wind
For a tiny moment
That says
Wanna wear my arms...?

my final bow

Many years ago a man was persecuted for what he believed.

His skin torn from his bone, a crown made out of thorn and sent to calvery.

Where he made is final bow.

how will you make your final bow? Will you say no way. No how. Or throw your hands up in the air.

Screaming yes oh Lo...rd I care. Will you sacrafice for everlasting life. How will you make your final bow?

A young girl, so innocent, a gun pointed to her face. Asked a simple question and in her answer did not hesatate. Do you belive in God? YES. She made her final bow.

how will you make your final bow? Will you say no way. No how. Or throw your hands up in the air.

Screaming yes oh Lord I care. Will you sacrafice for everlasting life. How will you make your final bow?

Every night we get down on our knees and pray, thanking God for our blessing every day. We say he is in our hearts and we love him so. But when asked do you believe will you say no to save your skin of say yes and sit by Jesus's side forever? How will you make your final bow?

how will you make your final bow? Will you say no way. No how. Or throw your hands up in the air.

Screaming yes oh Lord I care. Will you sacrafice for everlasting life. How will you make your final bow?

God sent us his son as test number one. We failed but did not lose as long as he is the path we choose. Jesus made the very first bow.

how will you make your final bow? Will you say no way. No how. Or throw your hands up in the air.

Screaming yes oh Lord I care. Will you sacrafice for everlasting life. How will you make your final bow?

how will you make your final bow? Will you say no way. No how. Or throw your hands up in the air.

Screaming yes oh Lord I care. Will you sacrafice for everlasting life. How will you make your final bow?

I throw my hands up in the screaming yes o Lord I care. I will take ever lasting life. For you I will sacrifice. You will be my final bow. My final bow.

People say This

Today's a new day
so let's start a fresh
dancing and singing
to a new wor-ld

(People say this
people say that
words get twisted
this way and that)

churning and burning
laughing and dancing
spinning to-get-her
falling head over heel

(people)chorus

hoping and praying
for a new day a
listening and singing
turning and spinning

(people)chorus

heart in a spin in
not up nor down
loving and giving
of the new day a

(people say this
people say that
words get twisted
this way and that)

Chicago Is My Kind Of Town

You have the buildings
You have the sights
Like Sears Towers now called Willis Tower
108 stories and 1,451 feet tall
You color your Chicago River Green for St. Patrick's Day
You have two baseball teams
The Cubs and the White Sox
You have the Bulls for basketball
You have the Blackhawks for hockey
You have the Bears for footballs
My kind of town Chicago is
My kind of town Chicago is
People who smile at you
My kind of people too
Each time I roam Chicago is
Calling me home
Visit the parks
Chicago has over 500 of them
Visit the beach
It's on Lake Michigan
If you've got money to burn
Walk the shops of the Magnificent Mile
If you're short on cash and need something free to do
Visit the Lincoln Park Zoo
My kind of town Chicago is
My kind of town Chicago is
My kind of people too
People who smile at you
Each time I roam Chicago is
Calling me home

About this poem:
This is a parody of Frank Sinatra's My Kind Of Town. Went to Chicago with a friend this last Tuesday. We couldn't get out and walk around because his friend was out of town and he couldn't afford to park his car so we just drove around Chicago for four hours sightseeing.

As Constant as The Sun

Some people come into our lives
their soul effect is that they help us to realize
how transient so many things can be.
But, Darlin' that's not true of you and me.

Sometimes I look into your eyes
and marvel at the crossroads in our lives.
What makes a fool upon up their eyes to see
what matters most is love and the will to be?

For people come and they will go~
Like shooting stars and you'll never know
why they're leavin' or
what made them come.
But you touch my soul
as constant as the sun.

Master Time can make or break so many things
and the shifting sands of fate might take you away from me.
But as the dove has one true love until she dies,
I'll always love you, Honey,
no matter where you fly.

Oh pain has been no stranger to you to me,
and if change and pain mean growth then let them be.
So let us fight and strain while we share what life may bring~
As long as you love me, Honey, it can't bother me.

For times will come and they will go
like shooting stars~leavin' only after glow.
But from the very beginning I've known you were The One.
Oh you touch my soul
as constant as the sun.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow is a promise
like so many I have heard.
Promises are easily broken
for they are only words.
Yesterday has vanished.
Tomorrow never comes.
I can't live my life
for memories
or waiting
on the dawn.

You ask "What of tomorrow?"
and Beloved, you've got to know
that I would to never leave you
beause I love you so.
But there've been so many others
who swore their undying need;
so I don't count upon your love.
Sure as I do, you'll leave.

"Tomorrow... Tomorrow,"
so many people say, "I'll love you still tomorrow,"
and then forget to love today.
But "Tomorrow, tomorrow..."
is but a promise,
cold and gray,
for all we have is memories
and the time we share today.

About this poem:
Consider this: "Love" is a VERB--and ongoing process of being the best soul you can be with each passing moment.

An oldie from 1984, this little song popped into my mind a few days ago, out of nowhere, and asked to be shared. Hope you enjoy it.

Sorry I have been away so much of late. I'm working feverishly on the sequels to "Chalice" and on final edits of that herculean story. I could use a few beta readers. If there are among you any who'd like to get a free electronic copy of "Chalice" and review it for me on amazon, write me and I'll be happy to arrange to send you a .docx file.

Unwishful Thinking

You're dead to me.
and it brings a smile to my
Evil side
Can't watch you breathe
No Breath will ever enter your chest
Again
Even though to me it means every thing to see
Your corpse start to
Rot away
Before my eyes
I can't look away
From this beautiful site

So sad to say.
So sad to think these evil things of you
Every bit of this is all for you
So sad to say
So sad to think these evil things of you
Every bit of this is all for you.

I wish the worst
Possible way to make your heart just burst
Inside your chest
Inside the empty place that's now
A cavity
Bring it all to me
Bring back the life from your buried smile
Even though to me it means every thing
Just to watch you die

So sad to say
So sad to think these evil things of you
Every bit of this is all for you
So sad to say
So sad to think these evil things of you
Every bit of this is all for tot

You're dead to me
You're dead to me
You're dead to me
You're dead to me

So sad to say
So sad to think these evil things of you
Every bit of this is all for you
So sad to say
So sad to think these evil things of you
Every bit of this is all for you

"It All Starts Over Again"

We will cry, and we will shout. But will the angels hear our call?
We will cry, and we will shout. But will the angels hear our call?

I hear the screams of children running, I hear the sounds of people gunning.
I see the bombs flashing in the sky, as my mind is screaming, "Why?"
Why fight this useless battle, why fight this useless war.
In 20 years we'll all be back to fight for something more.
This scarred flag that we all fly, raising high to show our pride.
Hides the fact that we are shamed by our leaders that have lied.
Greed is the motive that our leaders use to fight.
Yet they hide behind their words and they hide behind our strife.
Their banks are packed tightly up to the brim, their futures bright while ours are dim.
They fly around in their expensive jets, while we're up to our eyes in debt.

So will we fight for our right to ignite our inner light?
Or will we fall to them all and crawl to their call?

Stand up! Scream it! We don't want any more of this.
Rise up! Speak out! We are done with this.
It all solves nothing, because in the end.
It all starts over again.

A wife sits with a baby at her home, crying as she clutches onto the phone.
In another country, in another land, there is another family that would understand.
Two apparent enemies, their families torn apart.
By a war that none of them ever had any part.
An oprhaned child sits all alone on the streets.
His parents killed by strangers marching in fleets.
The innocence in our hearts dying as our soldiers stand to fight.
The hope in our hearts dying as our soldiers fall to the plight.
They all claim that they are doing what's best, meanwhile all of our voices are oppressed.
Yet their family and friends are all protected, while the rest of us are affected.

So will we fight for our right to ignite our inner light?
Or will we fall to them all and crawl to their call?

Stand up! Scream it! We don't want any more of this.
Rise up! Speak out! We are done with this.
It all solves nothing, because in the end.
It all starts over again.

So will we fight for our right to ignite our inner light?
Or will we fall to them all and crawl to their call?

Stand up! Scream it! We don't want any more of this.
Rise up! Speak out! We are done with this.
It all solves nothing, because in the end.
It all starts over again.

We will cry, and we will shout. But will the angels hear our call?
We will cry, and we will shout. But will the angels hear our call?

Oh, oh, beware. It will all start over again....

About this poem:
This is obviously a war song. I'm in the middle of writing a story, and it in the main character is fighting in a war she has no choice but to participate in. I wrote this song as sort of a "background song" to them marching to an ongoing battle. It is a mix of rap/metal. Italics are of a regular, flowing singing (by a woman in my head), while the rest is harsher obviously, (this time in my head, it's a male.) However it pops up in your head is up to you though.
