The Sun Will Never Shine Again
nor thunder will the sea.
No moonlit summer skies ahead.
There'll be no nights of ecstacy.
Tomorrow's only promise now
is barren emptiness.
The dazzling world
I once saw through raptured eyes
has fallen cold and colorless.
I remember laughter with you.
Your silhouette against the sunset captured me.
The dazzling autumn days held no glory next to you,
the starlit sky no magesty.
My very life began with you.
Now that you're gone
there's nothing left to do but cry.
Two lovers torn apart
though love will never die.
and since you've gone away
I know the sun will never shine
for me.
The sun will never shine again...

About this poem:
Written by Moi, l'meme, back in 1984. Came to mind this morning and I thought I'd better share it somewhere before it disappeared into my decaying graymatter.
Gadzooks, I was emotive back then! {:-)

Late one night, a hollow moon
Dances so light, across the sky
Hear the coyotes cry
On the ridge, when passing by
Falling stars, I wish upon
See my troubles gone
Fast to sleep, a dreamy night
Running so hard, against the wild
Frightened horses smiled
In the meadow, through waving grass
Nothing lasts, to remember
But still September
Far to go, ‘till morning comes
Washes the sea, crashing the waves
How crazy life behaves
Out my window, across the bay
Sailing fast, I ride alone
Still on my own

Fast to fly, flock of birds
Beating chrome wings, casting shadows
Over golden meadows
I stand still, gazing skyward
Wondering why, to realize
What will hypnotize
First to fall, frozen white stars
Descending downward, touching ground
Without any sound
I feel hushed, numbing cold
Shivering calm, to discover
My soul will hover
Nothing at all, answers me at last
Walking homeward, dying daylight
My lonesome plight
I fall silent, darkness pervades
Replacing life, will ever imbue
The secrets I knew

Lucy stumbles back into, that little room
Tired worn and weary, all energy consumed
The horrors of the day are etched upon her face
As she slumps down at the table, her mind in a daze
Everything is as it was, nothings out of place
She feels his presence in every corner,in every space
The morning coffee cups still standing,in the gloom
The knives ,the forks, the plates, his silver sugar spoon
Shining,shining through that gloom.
Lucy tries to piece together ,their last conversation
Was it really about the weather? was there no indication
She picks up his old cashmere sweater and holds it tight
But then, the scent of his cologne, like dynamite
ignites the tears that flow
And she lets go
All the pain and misery it flows
Shes rocking,...rocking to and fro.
Oh how she wishes she had gone with him this morning
Oh how she wishes she could be with him now
But instead she finds herself deep in mourning
As she leaves this house of stone...alone
Lucy picks a bunch of wild forget-me-knots
And throws them towards the shore
But they don't go very far
And she thinks she hears an old familiar voice
Call her name,above the noise
Of the crashing surf
Then she dries another tear
And heads down towards the pier
To get the boat back to the mainland..
From somewhere a corncrake sings his evening song
Hes happy, now the storm is gone
But for Lucy it goes on and on and on...
Oh how she wishes she had gone with him this morning
Oh how she wishes she could be with him now
But instead she finds herself, deep in mourning
Now shes going home alone
Now shes going home alone..

You know Dasher and Dancer
And Prancer and Vixen
Comet and Cupid
And Donner and Blitzen
But do you recall
Another reindeer
Rudolph the reindeer!
Had a nose!
And if you ever saw it
You would say nothing!
All of the other reindeer
Used to accept Rudolph completely!
They never let Rudolph
Lift anything on his own!
Then one foggy Christmas eve
Santa came to say
Rudolph you can't help!
Christmas is ruined!
Then how the other reindeer
Had unfair unexplained expectations of Rudolph!
And they cried!
Rudolph the reindeer!
You're the same as any other reindeer!
(Rudolph) I don't know why, but I'm sorry!

About this poem:
This is a parody of Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer by Elephant Larry. This is my favorite new Christmas parody song. It is from a show I used to listen to back in the 80's, the Dr. Demento Show.

I've been searching for you
While you're searching for me
Taken my time
Taken it all so easy
Hoping you don't pass by
I've been lookin in the mirror
To see what I could see
The truth staring back at me
There will be no more lies
For I am set free
It is one step backwards
Two steps forward
I am on board
Life is for the living
And that's where I will be
There will be times of happiness
And times of tears
Life don't change
Because you walk without fear
It's not in what you say
But what you do
Please don't pass me by
I am searching for you
I had to do some rearranging
A bit of a thing called changing
I'm in no hurry
Just taking my time
Might not look like I'm seeking
But I will be hoping to find
Life is for the living
I will be living mine

Over there there runs a little boy
He sings his song of joy
He sings his song so loud and clear
For the others
He knows they hear.
Isn't it so grand
Isn't it so grand
To know
The river that runs by
So swift and fast
You know the baited hook won't last.
Isn't it so grand
Isn't it so grand
To Know.
The Lord he planted seeds in the ground
Some went here
Some went there
As the world went around.
Some grew strong
Some grew weak
Others you know
They are still asleep.
Isn't it so grand
Isn't it so grand
To know.

I look at my reflection, who is that staring back at me,
That’s not the man I know, the man I'm suppose to be,
Lost is the light that shone from deep within my eyes,
My soul still wanders as it searches across the open skies,
I’m fighting so hard just to keep alive,
Using all my strength just to survive,
My heart is empty deep inside of me
I’m an empty shell of who I use to be,
Even if I try to understand the reasons why,
Even though, Even though
Even if I try to understand the reasons why,
Even though Even though,
There’s a stranger looking back at me.
Look in the mirror and tell me what you see,
That’s not the man I am or who I want to be,
Look in the mirror, there’s no one I can blame,
I’m the only one that can bear all the shame
Screaming in the darkness, screaming at the night,
Where are the answers, of a life that’s lost its light,
Trying to find a direction, try to find a place to start,
Just looking for some feelings to fill this empty heart,
Even if I try to understand the reasons why,
Even though, Even though,
Even if I try to understand the reasons why,
Even though, Even though,
There’s a stranger looking back at me.
Look at the mirror, that’s not the man I’m supposed to be,
There’s always a stranger, always staring back at me.

I'm so tired,
And here's the reason why.
We hiked and played all day,
Up and down, and all around,
And that's why I'm tired today!

About this poem:
This is a song to the tune of I'm So Happy, a Gospel song. I wrote it after a long hike with some members of my walking group, in which we went up and down some steep hills. I was worn out afterward, and this song perfectly illustrates how I felt after the hike.

Just as I looked my Stuff I found Pink Rose..
And for once, I told myself..whoever can give me even just a single piece, probably, He's the one. . . (twas a sign that I've been asking for..A pink Rose)
Then he came. ..
Things went smooth...
A happy moments with him. . .
Then one day, He left. ..
I was about to tell him everything. . .
How he means to me. . .
But it was too late..
Something happen...
An accident.. .
I was really hurt when I heard the news..
He will not come back anymore. . .
That's the only words in my head. . .
I blamed my self. . .
I did even asked God for a Bargain. . .
And that, if the only thing that could bring you back...
Is to stay away from you, I would rather do. . .
Thing's not that easy. . .
I know, whatever I do, It'll not bring the old You. . .
I cried too much. ..
Til I run out of tears. . .
Days by. . .
Months runs. . .
Years passed. . .
Still, longing for his care. . .
For his LOVE. ..
