The hilltops covered in pristine white snow
Sunlight glistening off silver tipped peaks
And yet nature’s beauty does not show
As much elegance as your body speaks
The corners of your mouth rise up to smile
A light in your eyes brighter than the sun
All the time spent in your arms so worthwhile
A magical feeling compared to none
I capture moments in my heart to save
To hold me through times when you are not there
For your loving touch is all that I crave
When life’s priorities leave none to spare
So now I sit with memories in mind
Waiting to create more of the same kind

Watch and wait things will always get hotter
Sooner or later love will turn around
What grass really grows greener and wetter
Grass over the fence or all over town
What can be argued in and of itself
Stop, think about what you already know
To even change one thing about myself
Is when your love is only 'just for show'
Searching halfway across the universe
Hoping to find what was already found
How can anyone of us just converse
When speaking faster than the speed of sound
When all you can say is all you just heard
Better believe you are being absurd

You who were once so colorful and crisp
Now laying soft and limp brown with decay
Once in the gentle start of spring would wisp
A new growth bursting forth in green array
How much I watched you grow in each season
Collect from a bright sun much energy
Making me think of life with more reason
We were the center of such synergy
Now that darker skies fill with grey coldness
Whispers in the wind the winter coming
Left with yet another year of oldness
Face a hundred days of frostful numbing
Good bye my dearest friend my little leaf
You brought to me much joy in time so brief

prepared out in the noonday sun
all ingredients carefully readied
baking time has just begun
browned betty soon cookin' steady
get your flowers carefully sifted
fold in eggs 'n milk, DO NOT BEAT
mix in spiced up smiles lifted
place yourselves in your own heat
rising passions cookin' soon
after cooling on your rack
buttered bakin' afternoon
place in mouth and have a snack
savor all your summer basting
loving recipes for the tasting

Thought I'd found you a time or two,
Though not the one that I dream of.
Been searching all my life for you,
My sweet darling, my one true love.
It's true I've never met you dear,
But know you like I know myself.
Been in my dreams for all these years,
I love you more than I can tell.
You're sweet and gentle, wise and kind,
Beautiful in both heart and soul.
Independant with your own mind,
Not ever spiteful, mean or cold.
I'm sure that when we fin'lly meet,
I'll know that I have found my one.
Because of how my heart will beat,
Telling me that my searching's done.
I'll keep on looking til I find,
My special one and make her mine.

Restless lake you’ve become all blue and grey
Crashing waves now crust on your icy screes
Hear the winter winds come howling away
When cold drops below tolerable degrees
Faced with mighty hunger a gull awaits
Motionless and crouched in its ruffled plume
Ever searching eyes scanning sharp with fate
Shimmering morsels with scales to consume
My thoughts drift slowly away like the snow
Swirl lightly like dancing feathers or leaves
All around me cast an eerie shadow grow
Anything my mind perceives or believes
Quiet the days in dusky December
Mirrored into my mind shall remember

In the night’s velvet touch i feel your Love,
in the midst of my pain your sweet caress,
touch my heart and you lift me high above,
You touch my heart with your sweet tenderness.
In the sweet joy of your Love i behold,
the peace of heaven now within your soul,
i shall now sip from your heart’s cup of gold,
and whisper to you of love i have stole.
Come to me and share a Love so divine,
lie with me in our sweet supplication,
and our love-light it shall then brightly shine,
as our heart’s sing in anticipation.
In our dream we are in heaven above,
as we lie in the soft beauty of love.

Listen when you awake at crack of dawn
hear the chorus of all the birds singing
watch them as they scurry and dig the lawn
until a nasty cat sends them fleeing
How dull and bland without any birds
silence would greet us with it's bleakness
less colour everywhere, half mast halyards
how lucky to have birds to add brightness
So many feathered friends around
delighting us with their wonderful songs
the sound of harmony our souls surround
for the sweet mellifluous songs prolongs
Tunes everywhere blending in harmony
sweetly combining sounding like honey

Just unfinished business calling my name
I would love to lay by your side but can't
It would be so futile laying in vain
An empty glass just a hollow vessel
Wondered what was wrong why love could not be
A feeling of incomplete just empty
Gnawing of the heart wanting to be free
Unfinished business refused to let go
Mistaking the wanting to be for love
Then I knew it was unfinished business
The thing I craved for, the thing I thought of
Sad to see you go but I must let you
Life's road is not always what you desire
Sometimes it adds a few logs to the fire

Indeed soft thoughts I've laboured long,
sung sweeter far than the Poet's song,
fully fills the glass where hope belongs,
relieving woes and its attendant wrongs,
as once sombre sullen enduring throng,
served life's integrity, harsh and wrong,
unknown to Nightingale's love lyrics long,
drowned in murky waters, stagnant strong,
thus slain the darkness that surrounded me,
banishing all which past I could not see,
now swift flown, solitudes lifeless spree
to colour paint, a bright new world for we,
How now, a kaleidoscope to us appear,
an emotional tapestry, coloured woven dear.
