What has made me a man?

What has made me a man?
Why haven’t I come as a rain,
So that I’d always remain
Beads on the cloudy breasts,
So that I'd be thrown to the earth
As morning frost or cold snow,
Master’d have never condemned
Me to such hardships and woe!
He would have rushed me to sky,
Carried with Him as his own.
I wouldn’t have had to be wary,
Fearless I would have stayed.
Sun's admirer I'd have walked
Holding the death in disgrace.
Heavens above me, earth below
I would have had as a grace.
I’d have rejoiced at green mounts,
Plains in lush garments so fresh,
Flowers both within and without
Watered they’d be with my sweat.
I would have bared my heart
To Sun and Moon day and night,
Life I’d have poured from above
Into the world drying out.
And in my heart turned to snow
Hope as a fire there would burn,
So that my death once again
Into new life should be turned,
And nature revived and refreshed
Held in its arms should rejoice.

The book of love

When all that matters is no more
and emotions lay bare on the floor
when all that once was no longer is
then life has surely lost its fizz
but hope springs eternal, or so they say
and maybe I'll find love again some day
maybe not now, or even next week
but in time I might find the one whom I seek
She might not be perfect but then neither am I
she might not come to me in the blink of an eye
but as the saying goes, and we all know it well
'there's someone for everyone'.....
it's on these words I dwell
we've all been in love and lost someone dear
and after the pain then comes the fear
the fear of finding someone new
and of closing the book on the past that we knew
and the one that we loved and with whose love we grew
but books are written with a start and an end
and love is the same, no matter how we pretend
all we can do is enjoy each chapter
while cherishing the love of the new heart we capture.

Rap a tap

Rap a tap,
Not feeling the vibe
Rap a tap.
Information online

Sending a text
Information untamed.
The aftermath can send us insane.

Rap a tap,
Quick to release.
Into the world like a raging beast.

Connection to the world.
Just one tap away
Yet we treat in so nonchalantly.

Rap a tap,
No checks just release
Rap a tap,
Deletion the impact dose not decrease.

Rap a tap.
Be careful what you text.
But you’re not alone.
Millions rap a tap away.
Ironically with very little to say.

A Christmas Wish.

Loud Yuletide bells resound once more,
Do they toll of Joy, or a tear ?
A festive choir croon at my door,
"Merry Christmas and Peaceful New Year "

In some sad homes the lights are dim,
Senseless war has taken their cheer,
Our troubled world now mocks the hymn,
"Merry Christmas and Peaceful New Year ".

Many will scorn our saviours birth,
The faithless who utter a sneer,
And say "There won't be peace on earth,
Not at Christmas nor in the New Year ".

But ye of faith speak loud and deep !
Proclaim for world leaders to hear,
Hope can not die, and will not sleep,
At Christmas and through the New Year .

A wish for peace this poem it sends,
Good tidings to all, far and near,
I raise a mulled wine toast my friends,
"Merry Christmas and Happy New Year"

A Vespidial Knight Speaking to Yah

"One by one dear father I shall reign thine wrath upon them and by thine own steed I shall forcefully alight within them the burning embers of your fury. I will storm every mental stronghold they hath risen and knock it down to the astral ruins of decaying ash and broken stone. I shall not allow one left, of any age, holding any emotional blade against you. Rest here now and get better, father. For I goeth not by the strength of your name alone. It is your Lineage that you, by-and-through me and through every weapon sharp-and-blunt forged by every mind, that I defend with mine every thought word deed and action. As the leading architect of this plight Your courage and will doth burn brightly within me and I shall wield a thousand blows with every strike that plunders its way into their animated corpses of corrupt mortality, as I speak unto them their disgressions whilst they fall by the linguistic swords they are not worthy of wielding. From their throats and chests I shall have every one of their voices: the perversions of their languages to be heard no more. And if my thoughts words deeds and action doth not bring upon us a faster return of Christ then at the very least the song of his name shall be heard upon the whispers of the dying as they, -at the last moment- repent for their wrongdoings as the Holy spirit receeds from their broken corpses of sin disease and death. Their corrupted soul shall be gone into the winds as the Prince of the airs taketh them into the ever burning frozen depths of perdition. Their souls dear father shall be buried within the coffins of mine own memory and therein they shall not escape. For upon them I shall place each Seal according to their merit. And if it pleaseth thee dear father I shall set their seals aflame that all shall know they are marked as the traitors of righteousness, thieves of passion, destroyers of things lovely, and eternal entrepreneurs of the iniquities of man."

The Girl in Me ...

Even though I've lived through my own lot ...
Tried, loved ... and lost several times,
though broken down ... but irreparably not ...

And yet , it amazes me still ,
at this my age ...
Seeing your pectorals wiggle,
my eyes just can't disengage ...
Can't help but let out some involuntary giggle
like I would have done
when I was decades younger and single ...

Still, I'm glad there remains
a bit of that girlish naivity that shows ...
Not hardened and embittered,
but can still with candidness
curl up my toes ...

Perhaps it contributes
to not really looking my age,
who knows ...?
I'm just somewhat glad I can laugh silly
and not worried that it shows ....

The Lissome Rhythm

The Horse's Heart beat pounding between my thighs, I sit upon him as he knows we are about to charge into another Battle. I sit there till mine and his heart is as one rhythm. I look to the South and see the encroachments of demons old slow and treacherous. I look to the West and see Thought-Forms high on the cliffs of reason as Egregores load and pull their Arrows of Hatred. I look to the East and see Broken women and men Chasing Superstitions, each with varyious weapon types in their hands. I look to the North and I see the coming of the Great purple Dragon whom will Spew Fiery Ice upon the once animated corposes of those - whom shall fall to their deaths upon the ground. I raise my Carefully etched spear of 99 Generations pointing high into the sky! I reach down patting my Horse along his thick dark black Mane, as I tell him: "Malkuth, you hath served me well my dear brother and friend. Let us Ride Once more into This Gauntlet of Passing, that we may Savor saving the Eternal Flames of Truth, Honor, Integrity, Courage, and Love! And if I should Fall from you my dear friend and brother, Ride on that our colors and Feathers be known by the onlookers of the dying as I fight for the right reasons to live. Today, is a good day to Die!"

Wouldn't It Feel Like Christmas .....?

Wouldn't it feel like Christmas
for each day that we get to live together ...?
After all, it's not so much the date that matters,
but the spirit of love, sharing, and joy
we will share with and give to each other ...

Wouldn't it always be like Christmas
when we put into words
how we feel for one another... ?
As if, every time,
hearing the Christmas Carols
when with our parents and siblings we used to gather ...
The ones we listened to as children
and appreciated even more as we grew older ...

Wouldn't it feel like Christmas ...
with every manifest of affection and love,
even if simple and nothing grand ...
That's not what really matters,
for each would still be like a precious present
opened on Christmas day, over and over ...
And through the years to come,
would just utterly become better and stronger ,
as we prove and show
we'll always be there for each other ...

Star Link

A flight out to the nearest stars
Traveling past Venus and Mars
The dawn of a brave new age
Elevated to life’s highest stage

What makes us destined to leave
Towards a future we can all believe
Or stay behind and cling to a past
What questions must be asked

Is peace just a dream once awake
An illusion made all the more fake
Is love not enough to be shared
Is life not reason to be spared

Oh reach up for the sky and say
Come together and start to pray
We need each other more than ever
The future is our new endeavor

If Hate Comes Without Chains, Will Someone Please Hate Me

A chain around his hand and a carefully placed collar tight around my neck
would suffice to pass inspection during the times that they would check
I would say more Behind the closed door of what Officials did to me
Had I the Knowing of being protected as if life could be a guarantee
I was not grown and not sure of what I could possibly do
I was knocked to the ground, the governor told me to kiss his shoe
anymore to say would sicken the many for words of these grow dim
As the light would fade from any who underwent the touch of them
and now I'm grown and looking back too many things I'd want to forget
I was told I was special, and didnt matter, whether I was below or above
For during the moments, to the end after their touches, they told me I was loved

About this poem:
A tragic tale of experiences and injustices. May his voice be allowed to be my voice as I help to gain freedom through poetic expression. It is never too late to let go and surrender to a brighter and better day of healing and forgiveness through the perpetual now.
