Given how the British mass media treated them, especially Meghan, it's long overdue. And given the current situation in the world - a continent burning, escalating hostilities in ME, an airoplan with civilians shot down to name some - Harry and Meghan attempting to leave Windsor soap opera is a non-issue. Or should be in a world with different priorities.



I wish some of Bernadottes would go feed themselves. Fat chance, those leaches.

When William married Kate she knew what she was getting into. She has lived in the environment all her life so she knew what the monarchy expected of her to be married a prince.

Meghan was an actress from Canada. I'm sure Harry explained to her also what would be expected of her but it wasn't as strict as Kate because William will be King someday, Meghan would never be married to a King. Therefore she probably didn't see the monarchy a problem for the lifestyle she wanted to live.

However, Meghan has proven time after time that she is not cut out for the strict lifestyle or for the Queen to be her boss. She has complained about it many times in interviews that "it is hard living the lifestyle".

Meghan was probably coming undone in the privacy with Harry. He was a young boy when his mother was killed when paparazzi were chasing her car. No doubt he is going to do everything he can to protect Meghan and Archie and I don't blame him.

I don't think he knew Meghan well enough when he married her. Perhaps she acted her way through the courtship. Nobody knows. I believe that she loves Harry and Archie and it's obvious that Harry loves both of them. If this was happening in America the couple would go their separate ways and be done with it but when you have a government sponsoring your lifestyle and your title you can't just walk away.

Meghan and Harry didn't make the decision in the spur of the moment. She signed a contract with Walt Disney to do voiceovers in Disney films long before the announcement to leave the monarchy. This might be her start to getting back into Hollywood where she feels comfortable.

I agree and also think that Harry has unresolved issues concerning his mum's death. He went through therapy to help with the pain of losing his mother but it's not easy putting something like that behind you.

I don't care that she wants to leave the monarchy. What I do care about is that in the early stages of her marriage there were signs that she was coming between the loving relationship of William and Harry.

I don't think anyone said they know what is best for Harry and Meghan.

He's asking for opinions. That's what the posters did. I gave my opinion.

This thread is no different from any of the many threads about Trump.

Twice I posted that Meghan is going to be doing voiceovers in cartoon movies in Hollywood and nobody opined about that. I think her doing that is going to have a big affect on how the Queen handles this. Personally, I think it's embarrassing to walk out on the monarchy to go to Hollywood. I don't have any love for the monarchy or the Queen but I do think the Queen deserves some respect.
