He has NOT been sentenced, and appeals will follow. This is to become saga. Be sure there are many contributing to his defence funding. Law in America is thus. Meanwhile Julian Assange languishes in prison in the UK where laws and extradition are also ponderous.
There are even older Aussie blokes around, don't you know? But I wonder why I get the USA and Aussie likes and emails from these stunning 30-something blondies... I am sure I've set my limits way over that.
Who ever had a successful incursion in Afghanistan? Britain? Russia? America? Remember the 1980 Olympics sanctioned by America? Double standards, don't you think? The weapons supplied to the Afghans to fight Russia in 1980 have been used to kill Americans in the 2000's haven't they?
@merc never thought about it in the driving sense, and that car was a write-off, believe me! Lucky I didn't find the matches too. The shark on the other side of the wave at Maroubra the pothole in Manly harbour beach, other near-death experiences.
@ed lack of balance and thought is a global phenomenon. If you were to listen to our Question time - which is broadcast on ABC TV here in Australia - you would see thoughtful considered debate never happens. In Canada too I surmise you have this broadcast? Just see and hear what your elected parliamentarians have to say.
@happy I go back a long way - Paul Robeson, Martin Luther; but science and medicine too. Not so much on freedom and equality. No presidents, and surely not McCarthy
@mic you overestimate your importance. And you will never see me thinking Trumpese or Bushish. Try mentioning some Americans that are indeed admirable, there are many.
@lou^2 'drivel' - a word I see in common with another later thread by the oft deleted rose who by any other name might be 'thorn', perhaps. People do unsheath their claws don't they!? Makes me think of fourcheeses who disappeared a month ago but has not yet reappeared. So she picked it up and repeated it it, clearly.
RE: Derek Chauvin...
@jac no it is an avoidance - but yes there has been progress - ummmm a little. it's quite another topic.
