RE: "Tools" to be added to next 'presidential' debate

Biden stooped to the same level - the stupid scoffing laugh and the uncivil liar shutup etc - remember 'if they go low we go high' - not!

RE: Harvest Moon...

Buy them next week, maybe 1/10th the price, freeze them, pull them out next year

RE: US Presidential debate...

@NZ do you have any comprehension of just how silly your 'binary question' was. You want the old binary joke? There are 10 kinds of Kiwis - those who know about binary and those who don't. Guess which one you are?

RE: Just a few days until the drubbing....

So what now, loudmouth? That man is a disgrace. The world witnessed it.

RE: Biden Wants Breaks During Debate, Trump Asks For Mandatory Earphone Inspection

@hpylady one obvious reason is that Obama was faced by two hostile Rep dominated houses - this coming term likely will be the other way round

RE: Harvest Moon...

Presumably your wife told you it is also mid autumn festival and bought some mooncakes?

RE: Trump consents, Biden declines

@miclee it's just the sort of tactic Floyd (Money) Mayweather would use before a fight - any tactic which irritates the opposition is legitimate, and the Trump camp probably borrowed a page out of that book ...

RE: Prerogatives of control over citizens....

Nuff said you think? You said nothing - looking at the many successful national health systems, where do you see examples of this? Many National health systems provide for parallel private systems. Biased restriction on the obese and the drinkers and smokers - well that already exists in sales taxes aimed at recovering the health costs - I guess that happens in USA too - do you reject the Australian ban on cigarette advertising and labelled packets? Is that anti-liberty too? Seat-belts perhaps? Control over citizens?

RE: Mesmer's art and craft. Few humans are incapable of entering trance.....

tosh.

RE: Good bye RGB...

but good on you for the courage to admit you are an imposter

RE: Good bye RGB...

So the self-proclaimed double-doctor is as suspected a dubble doktor dabbler - thank the figurative Gott im Himmel

RE: Three Things To Remember When The Democrats Start Whining About Trump's Supreme Court Appointment

Hypocrisy of course, but what goes around comes around.

RE: Three Things To Remember When The Democrats Start Whining About Trump's Supreme Court Appointment

So double-speak and double standards from the Republicans - what else is new, and what else is expected? Integrity, Consistency? Come off it. If Obama's nomination in 2016 because it was an election year was blocked, that's his problem, right, the principles claimed then mean NADA now?

RE: Travel With Friends or Solo

Solo wins hands down! But this is a male speaking, what do I know!?

RE: Scientific American

@jac the alternatives - a third candidate or an effaced voting slip - halve the impact. A withheld vote counts as -1, a vote against counts as -2. This is no time for withholding a vote, it is time to oppose. In a proportional representation house voting for the third candidate makes sense, but not here. The American people chose these two as their primary candidates. So be it. But it does make one scratch one's head!

RE: Scientific American

Even with advanced dementia, as you guys loudly posture and trumpet, he and his team are logically and intellectually streets ahead of 'it will get cool, you scientists don't know' Trump. The pro-Trumpeters clutch at a straw of assertion of dementia. Trump boasted that he could pass the cognitive competency test. I questioned my physician and underwent one too a while ago, and both he and I cracked up about it. But Trump boasts about it. Genius. Internal lighting? Disinfectant? Competence? Nah.

RE: Keyfob aka the lump in my pocket...

yup, ya goddit.

RE: Mae West and her quotes

Speaking of W C Fields (as you did) two of his best known quotes relate to fish in water and liking children. It's sometimes difficult to know for sure the source and exact words he used, and they probably get adapted and embellished. For water there are at least three variants, and for children I can find fried, parboiled, properly cooked. There'll be more for sure. A movie source would be good, but he himself may well have re-used and modified them.

RE: Keyfob aka the lump in my pocket...

Mae West leaps to mind...

RE: Steven or Stephen...

I have a good Chinese friend whose name is 'he' but this 'he' is 'her' and she is definitely not a he. Chinese She (as in snake) is not pronounced 'shee' that would be 'xi' and xi is no she as we know he's a he which is her as I said. Get it? Got it? Good!

RE: Steven or Stephen...

Not if it's associated with a certain Marquis or Marat.

RE: The USA has a little over 4% of the world population and almost 22% of the Covid-19 deaths worldwide

@Chesney the numbers are going to be similar to death by obesity by the end of the year, and a singular difference is this is not you killing yourself, not your choice, but the guy with a sniffle sitting next to you in the subway who does you in.

RE: The USA has a little over 4% of the world population and almost 22% of the Covid-19 deaths worldwide

Relatively less healthcare??? USA Health system for people of other countries is a laughingstock, compare it with Canada, UK, NZ for starters. Amazing technology, amazing science, incredible lack of equity and equality.

RE: Combatability, verses combat, within a relationship.

do you count? on this little finger, on that? No. you do not.

RE: Combatability, verses combat, within a relationship.

Mate, I just serviced you, reamed you so to speak, with an auger which augurs not well for the haemorrhoids. Silly vain man.

RE: Combatability, verses combat, within a relationship.

haha even I make typos! compatible. The difference is the I detect them. As a surgeon, if such you ever were I can imagine you saying 'ah my glasses and my left glove, now where did I leave them?' Attention to detail!

RE: Combatability, verses combat, within a relationship.

See, you CAN spell braggadocio, augur, campatible shouldn't be so difficult. Read, Attend, Learn. It is perhaps not to late.

RE: Combatability, verses combat, within a relationship.

'use' of course, twisted with relish; hot mustard or wasabi? Your choice.

RE: Combatability, verses combat, within a relationship.

On second thoughts, an auger might do a good job, just let me do the reaming. I'll us a hand tool, no need for a drill bit.

RE: President Trump Nominated For Nobel Peace Prize For His Historic Accomplishments Towards World Peace

Nobel, doubly noble.
