In California, if a driver doesn't stop for a pedestrian when the light is red or the pedestrian is jaywalking you will get a ticket for not yielding the right of way.
Don't do it. If you happen to see him in person with his wife then you may want to say something. And this is why.
Many years ago when I was a young man I met this girl and I liked her very much. I didn't have too much luck with her and I never saw her again. But being the stupid young man I was a year later, still thinking about her, I sent her a letter telling her how I still felt about her.
Well, she had since gotten married and when her husband saw my letter to her he beat her up badly. I didn't know she was married. I didn't know what her husband did to her. Not until years later when my cousin told me. I felt so terrible even though it had been years in the past.
You will not know how the ex's fiancee will take your congratulations. So don't take the chance that everything is still ok.
That's one thing I like about Country Western. They tell stories and they are not all sad. Some are funny too. Like the one song titled "If I tell you that you have a good body would you hold it against me" by the Bellamy Brothers!
But for the most part they don't really interest me. I like the Blues better!
The worst thing that ever happened to me was not knowing God when I was young. When I was 45 I fell into severe depression. I moped and I moped. After 10 years of moping I started going to church and my life changed completely.
Since that miraculous moment of salvation I have had good times and bad times. I don't remember them anymore because they good things REALLY outweighed the bad things!
I call it the "library" because that's where I read.
Several years ago I was attending this church in Colorado and the Pastor brought the subject up is reading the bible on the toilet disrespectful to God. His mother-in-law was concerned about this. The Pastors answer was "No"! God's concern is that you are not sinning and doing what nature requires you to do is not sin. And so, certainly, reading the bible anywhere is not looked upon as a problem no matter where your read it.
After we all chuckled we all breathed a sigh of relief because I am sure many Christians have thought about this.
So, yes, I do get inspired while using the toilet!
In real life many things give me inspirations and that would be based on the bible and my praying to the Almighty God. Also strict church attendance.
This adherence guides me daily where I am constantly giving all praise and glory to God. Because I know there are many things we can do on our own and the wisdom and maturity has to be there ingrained in our hearts and mind but there are things we have no control over and that is where I really need God!
I love everyone so I don't feel like arguing. Therefor I won't participate in the blogs where mass arguing is done.
It doesn't alter the fact that I have always enjoyed you as a person because you write so well and you too appear to love everyone.
I am sorry to see you leave but I won't try to convince you to stay. You have made your mind up and I will hope that you'll be back and soon. Real soon!
