About 20 years ago I worked in a Tack shop. The price of hay and feed was outrageous then. My old boss used to say, "People around here are horse rich and cash poor" or something like that! It was true. They bellered all the time about prices.
James said we must do works which infuriated Martin Luther until he stopped and realized that faith will get you to heaven but the works still must be in place!
My kids & G-kids are my life right after the Lord Jesus Christ! They're my pillars of faith and hope!
The only reason I have a mobile is for that exact reason. I like to keep as close to my kids as possible. One never knows what will happen and you need that immediate communication availability!
I am a Christian and you need to hear this. IF a Christian is really a Christian then they cannot judge anyone because they know that God is the only judge.
Everyone needs to be left to their own beliefs and thoughts! So you are correct in stating that you should be acceptable like you are and guess what? You are! Listen to no one about your own self unless they bring love and acceptance. That is a commandment from God when God said, "Love your neighbor as yourself".
Just be you and don't worry about religion if that's your belief.
I'm the guy that commented about the Colorado stuff. You don't need a special permit because it is all private property. You just need the owners permission.
Things in Southeastern Colorado are still pretty informal and people are cool as long as your cool. PM me if you want more info.
I used to go arrowhead hunting and I always found old coins. That was cool too.
i understand your pain. And the reason for your blog. You have my complete sympathy in this matter.
My sister had the same problem with her husband. This man did the same thing as well until he just became a zombie. Rotted teeth, bones so brittle they broke at the slightest touch or fall and a whole lot more. Crazy thing is he walked til he finally died.
My sister used to say, "I will probably die before him". And she did. I loved her very much for her strength and for the way she raised her 2 sons.
Jobs; there are so many legal ways to "get even" when the boss(es) give you a bad time that it just may be worth sticking with until you get legal relief. On the other hand, if it's just boring then lool for another one right away.
Politics; Don't give up and just keep voting! There will be change one day. Maybe not in our time but eventually there will be. Besides, let's face it. Many politicians have too many money deals in their back pocket so just get these guys out of office.
Relationships; When it's over. Just walk away!
Friendships; When it's over. Just walk away!
The grass may not be greener but you've taken action just by doing something about it.
I am fortunate that I have never had an alcohol problem. I drink 2 beers a week. One friday night and one saturday night in front of my computer while I blog or chat.
But I see the drinking problem all over and it's good to have reminders about overdrinking.
They once had prohibition but it didn't work. I am afraid it will never work.
I'm terrible at pool but that doesn't keep me from playing. I just don't want to drive to some pool room and hang out there because it doesn't interest me that much. I would rather stay home and blog and watch some sports on TV unless I go fishing!
Well my man! I can't say I have a similar story for you from my old days in Colorado but I still enjoyed. The closest we got to liquor in my little town was Mashburn's Billiards where Dad would take me for Pepsi.
I love your "kid" stories. They are all precious moments you will remember for life. I know these memories are still being made today and they are now adults!
How dare you! This is one for the "whatta ya call the peeps that run the joint". They should delete you immediately! Gendarme! Bouncer! Parti1 Where are you when we need you!!!!!
As usual, Sass girl beat me to the punch. I was basically going to say that your young motherhood may be the cause, BUT! Look at it this way. I was a Dad at 19 and when I feel blue I always think of my kids. You know that God made us parents young so we could have our kids for a long long time, dontcha?
Do what I do. Go out fishing, dancing and blogging. Keep it simple, keep your money in your pocket and you'll be just fine.
I think I will forego all the requirements and just be happy. We have a saying in America, "Ignorance is bliss". And that's what I am, blissfully ignorant!!
Not only that i am a single irresponsible man. So you get the picture!
I've had so many chances in life but I just didn't know what to do. Sounds funny coming from a man that by age 21 had a career that was beginning to take of successfully. I didn't have God. As a matter of fact I gave my soul to the devil. I hated religion.
By 45 I was down. Beat in strength and willpower and going into a spiral that I didn't recover from until I met Jesus Christ. i have not looked back since!
I'm from Colorado and every once in awhile you will find battle stuff out in the prairies where I am from.
A friend of mine found a Spanish Conquistador helmet (headgear?) and, of course, there are the multitude of Indian artifacts scattered all over! People find tomahawk heads, spear heads and arrowheads. It is kinda neat.
RE: Do we really reveal who we are?
Most of us think were "the one", like me, but I haven't scored yet! hee heeI think I'd better reveal more. Like maybe about 25% of the 90%!
By the way, did anyone see the World Series opener? Detroit didn't score either til the last part of the game. by that time the Giants were way ahead!
