Whenever one goes anywhere people will always tell you, "Have a good day"! I always respond, "Your too late. It began when I woke but, but thank you anyway"! It's a part of my silly sense of humor and some people chuckle and some people get a puzzled look on their face!
I have never turned down a piece of cake EVER in my life. It's funny you should say that because many times I will eat a dessert right along with my meal!

I have stopped going to the movies because of the high prices for a ticket and some popcorn & soda (if you work for minimum it adds up to about 4 hours of your hard labor) AND all the movie star "news". Like you, Kat, I don't care anymore.
I have always had a little reluctance to read self help books and really listen to psychologists but I know the bible is real and that it's the original self help book.
That man was fortunate to have a wife and children like you! And the family was fortunate to have a man like him!

When you said "Older men..." I had a look see because I thought you were talking about "old men". But when I came to the "who are now in middle age." I had to stop. Since I'm past middle age I'm too old.

Don't take no for an answer. You really want to move to California. I live right at the foothills of the San Gabriel mountain range, 25 miles from the beach and 60 miles from the closest desert town. And there's tons of things to do all in between!
What I am about to say is not meant to be disrespectful nor morbid. But to me death is a part of living. I accept it and don't fret nor have sympathy. I am glad for Andy Griffith's memory and the happiness and entertainment he brought many but, again, being a fan of anything is not for me. That said, I will move on to what is really of interest to me. Your nature writing.
I am not a specialist in any nature thing, but I really get excited about wildlife. When I go fishing I sit on my chair and just take in the birds and mountains and water and all the neat things presented to us as a natural phenomena into my heart. The same for hiking. I love it. Even the cute little lizards are fun to watch.
I had a buddy that was a graduate of Cal Tech and he was a good fishing buddy. And he too was a walking encyclopedia. We went fishing once to the Salton Sea in California and he explained that this sea was once an extension of the Sea of Cortez and that the funny lines on the mountain range were the water lines. That really juiced me!
I barely and rarely read the long blogs. But I read yours with enthusiasm especially the Latin names for everything. I will never remember them but they're still fun.
Does it really matter what anyone thinks? What do you 2 think? If you think the same thing then go for it! I have dated women 20 years younger than me and the looks others gave me didn't bother me.
