Hi Johnny, before it turns into the usual J/R bawdy dialogue , I too like art. I have a few hand-sculpted wooden pieces in the house. Unfortunately not by me but some by a friend, more from Spain and a couple of African pieces. I also have paintings in every room. Some prints and some originals (no Picasso originals though ) I just like what I like. I could never become a collector of fine art just because it is famous or worth money. I have to love it myself Whether others like it or not is irrelevant.
Soon, there are lots of people with intellectual disabilities so the army probably wouldn't be suitable for them. Many can be trained to do different work though. A nearby cafe works with a centre for intellectual disabilities and has people working there who wouldn't have been considered suitable for jobs in the past. If people's abilities are looked at, as well as their disabilities, then there is a niche for everybody.
Whenever I see a headline or a video which states it is 'Shocking Information!'Or 'So Awesome doctors don't want you to know about it!' I don't read it
I have to disagree with Pat about Meyer Briggs. That is a useful tool. It is not a measure of intelligence. There is no right and wrong. It is simply a useful tool to help you know your own personality type, and that of others. It is particularly useful in a work setting as once you understand how other people work, then it is easier to work with them. What you may have thought was a personality clash previously, can be now understood to be how they deal with things, especially in a group setting.
It was written in the scriptures:verse 6 chapter 66 - And so it will come to pass when the yellow heads and orange head shall work together to create something they cannot control due to their joint vapidness, a swarm of miniscule locusts shall terrorise the earth. It will especially affect cities like Gomorrah and New York due to their democratic leanings. The saviour shall not come from mother earth, but from the the sea. The warm island sea of the south. And so it shall be. Amen
Here, anybody who was temporarily laid off due to the virus including self-employed are getting €350 a week. Banks are giving a few months mortgage holidays as well if needed. €350 may not be huge money, but food is the only thing people need to buy so it is enough.
If it doesn't drag out too long, and there is done semblance of returning to normality, I think people will start spending again.
Ms C I think early action and listening to the medical experts made a big difference. We are doing things a bit different here to Spain. We introduced social distancing earlier, closed down schools and businesses earlier, but do not have as strict rules regarding movement. Only time will tell which system works better.
I'm amazed they haven't moved the non-covid hospital patients to the outlying emptier hospitals, thus allowing more space in the other hospitals for the virus patients.
I think tourism all over the world will just a non-entity this year. The best most countries can hope for is that their own citizens will be able to staycation so at least money will be circulating.
I haven't read all the comments, but I am glad they are looking at lots of different scenarios. Most will probably come to nothing, but all we need is one that does
