that's why, with questions like this one, it's fun to turn them around! Why DO dumb people say smart things?? %) As George Carlin often said, "it's all a mystery..."
Food.....a meal in itself! Oh, I do miss catfish; can't buy up here! Here we are are, living on the island, and sea food costs more that a filet mignon....and I love fish yet it costs more than imported foods from around the world. what a system....
OH, I do have a favourite fiction author:Sax Rohmer wrote dozens of really strange mysteries, occult and his most famous or infamous, the Fu-Manchu novels. Of course, reading him today, is being extremely politically very incorrect! Too bad!
I love cooking; wish I had more time for it; I love doing up pork in dijon mustard sauce and basically any meat and vegie dish with a creole sauce, white or red; love to cook using different wines and liqueurs. Learned in France, where else! %)
BC Bud (weed, man, weed..) Cheech and Chong have a home on one of the islands, a rich would-be tin pot dictator- Bush Jr. who, instead of moving to Texas to be closer to his god, wants to make this province like the US....with all that's wrong there and to turn in into a land for the ultra rich only..the drunk by the name of gordon campbell.
Aaahhh, let's see.....refunds for the Zoloft....the Proxac...the Valium.....canceled all the therapy existential sessions...Foruma are back...WOW ! %) :)
Yes! It is good to have our forums back!! With what I had to contend with, I the depression, anger etc. Zoloft worked out quite well and it was not hard to ween off of it either, after a few years. My diet is as always; if it grows, flies, runs, swims or screams, it's fair game! I detest "fast foods". All is fine, was fine, until someone reminded me how long I've lived here, them how old my youngest is; a long, long time to live without any one else other than my my 2 children; it almost put me on the edge of another abyss of depression..almost.
Bonjour Candy!! missed ya! Loved the movie version of The Pelican Brief! Love movies and books; have 5 books going at same time...duh, where's the asprin...%)
You picked a dilly of a topic! There are several on here who love books and are voracious readers of all types of books; for most though, we have the impression that for most, just reading someone's profile is tatamount to reading an entire book!. Myself, I rarely read any "novels" unless it is true and could not be published other than in novel/fiction form; depending on subject. Out of at least 3000 perhaps, maibe a dozen at the most are novels; but I do love sci-fi though, and have actually kept some. The reality of our world is far too fascinating for me to read mere fluff fiction.%)
"And the Beat goes on..." smaller versions are still going on with new victims everyday...it never stops.I've seen way too much of that starting with Biafra; all through central and southern Africa, South and Central America, and new discoveries still now in Serbia, Bosnia, etc. This kind of eulogistic poem has no end, no real begining and just grdually looses the shock value as seeing the slaughter first hand; soon ,you can't tell one from another.
We all need to unwind; a herd of us could rendezvous at your cabin, have several toasts to ourselves, don our togas and skip merrily through the woods...%)
Bullwinkle J. Moose and his pal Rocky are from there; no, I do not think you are crazy, I may have thought that what ol' Ted was doing was excercising his right to freedom from speech, communicating in a manner unfit to be misundersttod and somewhat different and yet not all that unusuall; besides which oh, just never mind about the poor ol' woman who lived in a Gingerbread house...or was it a shoe, I forgot; she stuck pins in little dolls didn't she....%)
ShyGal, may I briefly interupt ourseves and extend to your our apologies for this care-free hi-jacking of your thread. Just a momentary diversion of indiscretionary behavior without parental supervision . Marcy, my dear, you do so tantalize my cavalier imagination to torrid heights...I am ever so flaterred by your kind considerations and would only assure you of the appearance of my humble self upon London's brige of in any Cafe in Europe, and then we can get bombed together!! %) HA!
My dear Miss Marcy, how could I poosibly even think of not being there in anxious anticipation of meeting a lady so fair...., why honeychil' I'd brave the great Siberian winter storms to have a rendezvous with you, even to just kiss yawll's hand! %)
Cute, remember the rule about refusing to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed person..... %) It seems to be a creature that needs open-heart surgery and they should go in through his feet.....
HA ! Good answer Cute !! The lines must be as long as the Great Wall of China...and visible from space!! %) Hello ShyGal, and welcome to our asylum! As an incoming newbie on the week-end, no meds are are available, the staff have all fled, leaving the hordes on inmates to howl and bey at the moon... Jump right in, you'll find your way and learn from the podtings all you need to know and probably some things you didn't really want to know! But so is Life. #1 rule is to have fun. You'll find some great people here and some...that are not. Just keep a good sense of humour about it! Welcome!
