The same forward-thinking people that provide Medical Care and vacations to their citizens-(while collecting roughly the same true tax-rate as USA-subjects pay) have stepped up to limit the destruction of the Amazon Forest!
Simple math tells us that forests cleanse our ONE-SKY. Trees consume harmful CO-2 and produce Oxygen. (just try breathing CO-2 for a minute!)
The trees are not only air filters, but they produce precious Oxygen, acting as the "lungs" of our small world. Thank you Norway!
Oh, Long Island Iced Teas What a Blast to the Past!
My Mother-in-law, and I, right after my wedding, went to a bridal shower on their side of the family.
It was held at a very upscale restaurant. We had three or four of them. Did not know they held alcohol, (Neither one of us are drinkers), only that they tasted good. In fact, Gramma also had a couple and she never drank.
When we got back to my in-laws Home, where the garage was also the basement, we kept falling down the stairs, giggling and laughing.
My Father -in-law, my husband and two brothers-in-law heard us and came to find out what was going on. They found us in a heap once again only getting half way up the steps.
Dad took one look at us and Said MJ are you and CJ drunk? He was so incredulous. Mom was so indignant and I was giggling. Mom Said R! you know better!
Brother in law A asked what did you have to drink? We said Long Island Iced Teas. My husband and his brothers laughed and laughed so hard they were rolling on the floor behind Dad.
Dad said what is so funny? What are long Island Iced Teas? The guys laughed some more and told him those things are loaded with alcohol. They taste so good. Then laughed some more and said Mom and her First Daughter in Law ARE DRUNK!!!! We never thought we would see that.
Mom and I were mortified. Dad had to carry her up the stairs and my husband had to carry me up the stairs. When they got us into the living room, Dad said just where was this bridal shower again?
Then he asked about his mother, on hearing she had some too, he left and drove over to her farm to see how she was. He was muttering the whole time something about 28 yrs of marriage and never had this situation before.
This is what I told my ex-fiance before he and I got together. My late husband had cheated on me and everybody but me knew. Well, my exfiance did the same. He called me Sunday wanting to get back together, I told him we've been down this road too many times. He said he made a mistake and he misses me and loves me, but I'm done.
I like to meet for coffee, and walk in a park where there are lots of people. In time, he'd have to pass the test of my Dogs. If they like each other, then he's ok. If the Dog's hate him, I take notice and don't see him again. If he says hey would you give the Dogs away before we take the relationship to the next level, well he struck out.
