The guy paying for the first date yes.... unless she is the one who asked, may I take you out on a date. (I am old school, so first date, it would be nice if he did)
With the economy today and the prices of things, I do not feel he should pay for everything. Going to a movie these days can easily cost 60 $.
If renting movies.... he could pay for the movie rental ( or she) and he get the snacks etc) or vise a versa.
I would prefer he was a gentleman... and if certain things were not in the budget, we find activities and places to go that were not expensive.
Used to think.... not here, not in my home town..... I left for 23 yrs, and thought the crime where I lived was way too much and out of control. thought the people living there, just shrugged their shoulders and did not care.
I came back here, and can not get over how stupid it has gotten here. Too much violence, guns and just plain old out of control idiots.
Here is one for the never list.... never in my neighborhood.
Guns do not solve problems, the idiots using them cause problems.
The minister just had all of his remaining teeth pulled and new Dentures were being made. The first Sunday, he only preached 10 minutes. The second Sunday, he preached only 20 minutes. But, On the third Sunday, he preached 1 hour 25 minutes. When asked About this by some of the congregation, he responded this way: 'The first Sunday, my gums were so sore it hurt to talk. The second Sunday, my new dentures were hurting me a lot. The third Sunday, I accidentally grabbed my wife's dentures... And I couldn't shut up. '
To tell you the truth as an older person, I worry less about the small stuff... View the world in a different way.... same with people.
Have learned some self control regarding words I could say, but if said can never be taken back.
If given a load of BS, don't try to stick around to see if the person giving it will change....
Have changed my self for the better... (jmo)
As I got older... watching my parents relationship and other's very long term relationships, have learned things I would not have seen as a younger person.
Material things are not as important.
Looking forward to menopause .... believe it or not.
I can laugh at how things were when I was younger.
Don't take things for granted.
If a child is crying on a plane or a bus, don't look at the mother as someone that can not do something with the child.... more like been there myself... maybe the child is upset about something, & the mother or parent is very tired and stressed.
Tend to be more realistic than I was at 20 yrs old.
For myself.... fashion is not as important and I'm not judged for not dressing in the latest fad..... did not like doing it as a young person, and am glad don't have that pressure.
Looks are not as important as personality. (does not mean be a slob and don't wash .... )
I have lived through some awesome history.... good and bad.... and the music .... through the eras.... can't beat living through all of that.
