Not really what I want to hear but it had crossed my mind. Think I better stick with the mechanic I know cos at least he has never ripped me off. Was going to go to a guy in my local town but dont really want to go to someone new if it turns out to be a big job.

Okay....I am totally challenged when it comes to cars
My Nissan Almera is making a kind of grinding noise when I accelerate but stops when I decelerate. Seems fine when I am higher than third gear.
Yes I am taking it to a mechanic but just dont want to get ripped off.
Any knowledgeable people out there have any ideas?

I dont know, I went because I had been told about this one. I went with no expectations like I said I am totally cynical about them. I do believe that they can only feed off whatever information you disclose about yourself. This one started by saying to me, "Did you travel far?" I answered, "Not really".
She asked was I off work, it was daytime. I answered " Ah sure we all need time off". That is how I answered most of her questions...no wonder she said I was hard to read I told her nothing about myself. She could only work on me sitting in front of her and that was it. I did not react to any of her statements either so she was kinda up the creek trying to come up with stuff

Well I think that ouija board is different than fortune tellers, I have heard strange and disturbing stories from people who have claimed to have used a ouija board.
We are all vulnerable, It would be so nice to think that you could have one last conversation or interaction with someone that you have lost.
I think that we just all have to get on with life and overcome our own difficulties and losses.
Fortune tellers for the most part I think are just predators of a kind and pretty harmless but ouija boards I think are more sinister.

Personally I think it is a load of crap.
I think it is fine if you take it as a bit of fun and entertainment.
I went to one a few years back, as a cynic and just to see what she would say to me ( I had been told by a few people " Oh she told me stuff that she could not have known" yeah right!
What a load of cobblers.
She tried to find out where I had come from and what I worked at by asking not so subtle questions.
I was evasive and she spun me a load of generic drivel.
Stuff such as...you have lost someone close to you...you do not get to my age usually without having lost someone close to you.
She said that I had a friend whose name began with "J" or "M"....Now, call me a cynic but a lot of people in my age group are called John or Mary!
She said that I worked near water....there is a lot of water in Donegal lol.
She ended by saying that I was hard to read!!! ( shoulda asked for a refund :( )
I think that you can unconsciously give these people information about yourself, by answering their questions or reacting to something that they say and then they go with that and you think that they are actually telling you something.
The woman I went to could probably tell that I was not local...cant hide my accent! She also would have had a fair idea how old I am...cant hide that either
I have no problem like I said in treating them as a form of entertainment.
My real issue with them however is when they prey on vulnerable people.
A girl I knew went to see the same woman after she had lost her father, yer one really played on that and got her to go back again and again. That, I think is just cruel and mercenary.
Anyway...each to their own.
I just think that life is going to throw at us what it will. It is up to us to deal with it in our own way.
I would not want to spend my time either waiting for something good to happen or dreading something bad happening.
If people think that a fortune teller can help them deal with life then that is their own choice.
I prefer to rely on myself

Think My Dad had Blue eyes,My mum kinda Hazel.
All of my brothers have blue eyes and I have kinda hazel
They look green sometimes depending on the light but the rest of the time darker
Then at other times...depending on the morning after...they are kinda red
