I suspect for a lot of us, this will be our last meet, at least the last big one. It's a pity so many of the old gaurd had to cancel. I think this may be goodbye for quite a few of us!
Some have partnered up and others like myself have taken off in a different direction. Feel a wee bit sad about this one!
Only once did I ever get the elusive 180! It was in the Telford Arms in Edinburgh if I remember right. There was no one there to see it and I was casualy throwing the pub darts (I was bored) which had old broken feathers, were as thick as a dockers fingers and were made of brass! I think they belonged to Eric Bristow's great great grandfather!
Sorry but I can't think of a single famous female enigineer in any discipline never mind one of the status of say Isambard Kingdom Brunel who changed the world. Perhaps someone is beavering away in the field of genetic engineering or software engineering and will one day be as famous.
About 10 years ago I fell out with a gf just before we were due to go on holiday to Crete....so I ended up going alone. I rented a 125 cc trail bike for the week and went all over the place and discovered lots of nooks and crannies and history I would never have seen and I had a great time. There are high mountain roads and more twisty roads down from the mountains to the coast with great views of the Aegean Sea which incidentally is crystal clear. You can see down about 50ft and the water is rich and blue!
So don't be afraid to go alone. There are plenty folks in the local bars to befriend too for company in the evening.
When you left, we all went to pieces. People were crying like babies...even the women! They were wailing,"Where is Cuggly, we can't live without Cuggly!"
But inspite of our best efforts, we couldn't keep it together. Some chose prescription drugs, others chose alcohol or heroin. Many were seen hitchhiking towards the cliffs!
So I hope you're proud of yourself and the devastation you see around here!
Don't be responding to egotistical nonsense Nanners. This guy thinks you need his aproval as he sits in judgement for some reason. Most of us understand exactly where you are coming from.
