dont date a guy who wants kids or, tell them upfront in the first instance that you aint into it - and live happily ever after with the love of the two of you
its not a good idea to have children because somebody wants you to do it - if they love you they will respect your wishes
I dont intend going that far into it Solitaire, its just what was on my mind today.
You make some really good points though. But dont the official secrets acts consign different things to secrecy 10, 25, 50 or more than 100 years depending on how sensitive they are thought to be? I know at school we were'nt allowed to be taught anyhting about the second world war because of the official secrets act. I am sure 'most' of it is released information by now
I have some friends in their early 20's from Czechoslovakia too and they were not taught anything in school about their recent history - all to sensitive I guess.
If something is meant to be public knowledge Im sure there are people somewhere working to make it so - maybe mankind isnt ready for such an encounter just yet but it does bear thinking about (IMO)
Thanks for that information I will check it out - I found a good sounding book today by William Bramley called The Gods of Eden - there are lots of claims made in it and I think I may just have to get a copy.
Is this bizarre or is this bizarre; (from the book)
In 1982 a law was passed by the U.S. Congress which included a section which made (or could be interpreted to make) contact with ETs illegal. More exactly, the law authorized the detention and quarantine of any person who has been "extra-terrestrially exposed", which is defined as a condition of having either (a) entered the atmosphere of, or landed upon, some non-terrestrial celestial body, or (b) "touched directly or been in close proximity to (or been exposed indirectly to) any person, property, animal or other form of life or matter who or which has been extra-terrestrially exposed by virtue of" (a). Quarantine could be as long as NASA wished it to be, and was to be enforced by armed guards. The decision as to whether or not a person was "extra-terrestrially exposed" rested with the NASA Administrator (or his agents) and could me made without the need to observe the usual niceties of the legal process, such as arrest and trial.
haha - where I live the saying goes that you have to have at least 4 relatives in the graveyard before you are even considered a 'local' - interesting to think though that our bloodlines may not be as 'purely' human as we have been thinking.
Im not sure that I go along with the 'life is finite' thing - though I agree that it is so for this incarnation - twixt heaven and hell all things are possible as they say
and my sentiments exactly "If/when they land and/or make themselves known, I'll welcome them if they are friendly or take appropriate actions if they're un-friendly. "
Ha Ha Enjoy your fishing and pondering Alien Aliens (me being facetious too)
Im just trying to understand why people react like they do to unknown entities yet stick like glue to other things and never even "go fishing to ponder" that there could possibly be more to all this than meets the eye - I have no answers, only questions.
Thanks 2Mysterious - great points you make there - i would have so many questions to ask - for instance; What is the relation between these ETs and the major and minor religions of the past and present?
Did the concept of the "God" of the Bible actually arise from early humans experience of "the gods" — those who came down in their "sky chariots"?
Is it time to completely rethink the theological premises which have so greatly influenced European civilization?
questions like these i would love to have the answers to
and I particularly like your last sentence Thank You
I consider it likely that there are advanced alien races somewhere "out there," and I remain open to the possibility that, one or more such races could be visiting Earth. But if so, where are they? Why dont they come along for a chat - post in the forums maybe - Or maybe even mankind is their social experiment and they aint going to interfere - any theories anybody?
I think that everyone should be entitled to choice and where religious dogma spills over onto human rights it is time for lines to be drawn - somehow, whether that be by meetings between the patriarchs of a particular faith or the intervention of law - this inhumane control of people has to stop
as you say, freedom of religion is one thing..........
RE: If you were more than 40 years old will you accept to birth...
its possibly about sticking with decisions
