RE: Last thing you feel like

i couldnt live without my freezer and dishwasher - my hated thing is having to go out when its freezing cold and rainy crying

RE: Moving in

but sometimes, even though both parties are trying their best to work things out it still seems impossible. At the beginnings of relationships we wear rose coloured specs and are on permanent honeymoon till the reality sets in.

but, im just being a killjoy there - the first throes of love give you a definite feeling of invincibility - enjoy it i say wave

RE: Hi all

Hi Damian cswelcome

RE: HI HONEY I'M HOME!!

Good Luck in your new old home. Am glad the journey went well. wave

RE: why did people love princess diana so much ?..was she just a pretty face ? and why not love camila ?

i dunno - there are various conspiracy theories and i havent read them but it seems to me if they did bump her off then anybody else who knew what really happened would be fair game too dunno

RE: Moving in

i lived with my kids dad for 10 yrs - there was nothing easy about it rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing in fact it wouldve been much easier had we actually been married cos then i would have at least had property law on my side.

to my mind it makes much more sense to know a person before committing to marriage - how can anybody say those words 'i will love you forever and ever' unless they 'know' they can fulfill the promise!

RE: Moving in

thumbs up

its really important to know if you will be able to stand being around them for any length of time, i agree cheers

RE: Moving in

erm, i dont know about actually married but it is something to take your time deciding.

there again, in at the deep end has worked for lots of people too wave

RE: what came first the chicken or the egg ? ..will science always outwit religion ?

ha ha - i reckon it ends in the same place it begins - with consciousness wave

RE: Hi, I'm Chiara i'm new here...

Hi, I hope you enjoy yourself here cswelcome

RE: Moving in

my best advice in this scenario would be to have it sorted before the big day arrives - saving many tears and much heartache laugh

there again, they do say that you never know a person till you live with them - i would be looking for good hygiene stuff and kindnesses and how good they are at 50/50

RE: should young british unemployed people be forced to do military service to help out in iraq ?

I agree that something should be done but not sending them to war
peace

RE: should young british unemployed people be forced to do military service to help out in iraq ?

Thanks Gilly and thanks for the post too.

This really gets my goat, sending innocents to fight. If the politicians honed their skills of diplomacy a bit better instead of assuming they are gods and know it all, then there probably wouldnt be half so many wars in the first place.

As for how the education system is letting them down - there are numbers imposed on various courses relative to the need for a particular skill in any given area/town. The skills taught are relative to the economy which calls primarily for office type skills.

This isnt the fault of the kids who would be better at working with their hands and for whom there is little training or work available and they certainly shouldnt be sent as bl--dy cannon fodder to pay for the mistakes of the politicians in f---ing up the economy

RE: should young british unemployed people be forced to do military service to help out in iraq ?

What causes youth crime?
These are some of the major risk factors that increase the chances of young people committing crimes:

troubled home life
poor attainment at school, truancy and school exclusion
drug or alcohol misuse and mental illness
deprivation such as poor housing or homelessness
peer group pressure

hmmmm, ok, so they put up with all of this, then, they can go be cannon fodder scold

Shower The People You Love With Love - Jmaes Taylor

You can play the game and you can act out the part
Though you know it wasnt written for you
But tell me, how can you stand there with your broken heart
Ashamed of playing the fool
One thing can lead to another; it doesnt take any sacrifice
Oh, father and mother, sister and brother
If it feels nice, dont think twice

Just shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Things are gonna work out fine if you only will
Shower the people you love with love
Show them the way you feel
Things are gonna be much better if you only will

You can run but you cannot hide
This is widely known
And what you plan to do with your foolish pride
When youre all by yourself alone
Once you tell somebody the way that you feel
You can feel it beginning to ease
I think its true what they say about the squeaky wheel
Always getting the grease.

Better to shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Things are gonna be just fine if you only will
Shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Things are gonna be much better if you only will

Shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel

Youll feel better right away
Dont take much to do
Sell you pride
They say in every life
They say the rain must fall
Just like pouring rain
Make it rain
Make it rain
Love, love, love is sunshine.
Oh yes
Make it rain
Love, love, love is sunshine
Yeah, all right
Everybody, everybody
Shower the people you love with love

RE: why did people love princess diana so much ?..was she just a pretty face ? and why not love camila ?

no, I didnt see it Gilly but did you look to see if there were any bullet holes in the tyres? dunno

RE: should young british unemployed people be forced to do military service to help out in iraq ?

thumbs up Thank You

doing that would mean that unemployed youngsters would simply become cannon fodder - once more peace

RE: should young british unemployed people be forced to do military service to help out in iraq ?

definately not - but maybe the flippin politicians should peace

RE: What is God?

I have no idea what God is but I do question the motives of a parent who would let his child die on a cross - for any reason !!!!!

RE: wish me luck

Get Well soon Debs - it'll all soon enough be just a memory. Looking forward to you getting back. Trish hug

RE: Happy anniversary!

Please tell them congratulations from me thumbs up

How have they managed this - what are their tips? wave

RE: Agnostic

something to do with emoticons but people often do more than three - go for it

RE: Agnostic

I respect your views of course but, the apologetics in the quoted post suggests to me me that you may think some of us need 'saving' - i can assure you, i dont.

I would never dream of telling anybody that I know better than they - or that my take on things is superior to theirs.

You 'know' your truth and I 'know' mine. I have said before that there have been and will still be more, many wise sages throughout the ages and they all want to be on the side thats winning and show irrefutable truth - and they all have valid truths. Jesus Christ was one of the best i do agree, but not the only and the Book traditionally attributed to his life has had massive omissions, lots of re-writes and varied translations - the essence is goodness all the same yes, but, many see Him as just another of the very many capable and revered prophets.

RE: Agnostic

I hope you have a great time Paddy handshake

RE: Agnostic

OK, I dont hold a single thing against you and have the utmost respect for the fact that we are all entitled to our opinions - without having to face hellfire and damnation if we believe differently.

My problem isnt with the catholic/protestant situation, it is with the hold that various forms of organised religion have had over their adherents for so long. Dont you think that this 'goin to hell' stuff is a bit outmoded - neither of us have proof either way - for any bible quote you throw at me i will find a refutation and probably vise versa - I respect your beliefs and would welcome the same in return.

RE: Agnostic

Wise words handshake

i was a bit offended by someone somewhere above (tee hee) suggesting that non-believers are not very good people dunno

RE: Agnostic

How refreshing to read your words of reason - Thank You so much - I had made up my mind not to comment in this thread - was finding it somewhat scarrry - but you have just given me heart handshake

RE: cure...

Ha Ha - oh my sympathies to you. It was me who atarted the same thread yesterday, I was really ill - urgh, not nice.

What did work was a hair of the dog ( as suggested by Dandelion - just a little bit, not starting the whole thing again) then food then snuggling up watching a film or two - oh and painkillers laugh
