RE: Have you read CS Forum Rule and realize by posting in forums you agree to them?

Only when the OP is asking of the members something which they demonstrate they are themself capable of doing...

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

When the OP includes off topic distastefull content in their comment they're leading the way into ''off topic'' distastefull response... dunno

RE: Have you read CS Forum Rule and realize by posting in forums you agree to them?

You have apologised then immediately done the same thing again and again... what is an apology worth?

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

But you didn't tell others who are not staying on topic to keep to the topic. You even wrote a whole off topic response to someone who was off topic without once asking them to keep on topic ... scold

RE: Mothers day...

Very kind of you to say wine

RE: Have you read CS Forum Rule and realize by posting in forums you agree to them?

Was I not on topic?

Were you on topic in the second part of your post?

Persistant ... I was called that by an employer once... he became my employer because I was persistant ... he saw it as an asset ... Ahhhh! But that was off topic even though it was in response to your comment. laugh

So pointing out to someone that they're not walking their talk is called 'badgering' is it? As if I'd be stupid enough to pm you anything without witnesses to see exactly what is being said laugh

How rigid does one have to keep on topic when responding to OP's comments of which some of the content is off topic do you think?

RE: Mothers day...

I often get 'celebrated as a mother' 3 times a year. In March from my children in England, 1st Sunday of May in Spain from the daughter of an ex-boyfriend and the last Sunday of May from family members who live in France

cool

When I lived in UK I often used to forget to buy a card in March so I could send it to my Mum in May and often had to make one myself laugh

RE: Mothers day...

Thank you hug

RE: Have you read CS Forum Rule and realize by posting in forums you agree to them?

I don't think you 'forget' the rules ''unknowingly''.
I just posted in your other thread where you are blatantly not following the same rules you had asked others to follow a few posts earlier...
So 'inknowingly' is certainly not the reason you don't follow those same rules you want others to follow in your threads.

Unless of course, what bothers you is not that a rule had not been followed but that you have no comeback to what they've said to you and so you use the 'please follow the thread rules' to avoid responding to the comment...
I may be wrong of course and you may still be working out how many of the things you say to or about people often breaks one or other CS thread rule...

I know I do, but then I don't go around lecturing others about following CS rules dunno

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

See your post #58 where you're asking me to stick to the topic which you introduced as whether you're a biggot or not.

And here you are breaking the very rule about keeping to the topic that you insist peoole keep to. And even breaking the rule #4 about keeping a thread positive while you are taking about that very rule!

I would even say you're breaking rule #2 by talking about another member and calling ger names dunno

You are asking people to keep to the rules but are blantanly not doing so yourself.
professor

RE: Have you read CS Forum Rule and realize by posting in forums you agree to them?

thumbs up

Not sure how I'll be able to hold back from responding when someone posts something that I consider outrageous and it's 'off topic' laugh

RE: Have you read CS Forum Rule and realize by posting in forums you agree to them?

Yes you have violated the rules regularly. Everytime you have been rude to someone or called them names because they didn't agree with one of your posts.

I have too. Mostly when not keeping to the thread topic.

So how is this new awareness going to impact your interaction with people in threads now?

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

Definition of bigotry Merriam-Webster:
Obstinate or intolerant devotion to one's own opinions and prejudices.

Do you think that definition fits your character? dunno
It's not for me to say whether it does or not dunno

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

According to CS you are not supposed to call people names which you did in your other thread.

You could adopt "Do as I say and not as I do" as your motto!!!

I shall leave you to it ...

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

I thought I was because ....

.... Are these not your words? And did my question to you not address this topic? confused

However, I just re-read your OP and you clearly mention another member and me state that you don't wish us to take part in the discussion ... Not sure how that fits in with CS rule 19 dunno

No worries though, I'm out of your thread since you are asking people to break rule 2 ...

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

But you said and implied it had to do with the welfare of anyone else on the forums and your worry that people like me are making others leave CS?

Why is it ok for you to form an opinion others and voice it in no uncertain terms?

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

It is not for me to say Gal whether you're a bigot or not. My online perception of you has nothing to do with who you really are in real life.

Did you start this thread to find out what people thought of you or to try to get people to be open about what you believe is offensive and keeps people away?

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

No idea what you think you're right about... you'll have to spell it out ...

...this type of thread doesn't somehow translate into "happiness is the way" in my perception ... but then what does an "astigmatic erudite know it all" know? dunno

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

I doubt it though Gal!!

RE: Say .... Nothing, ... STF Up Thread #2

blah blah blah crazy laugh

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

Do you think that if I started a thread asking people if they think that I am a "know it all erudite astigmatic narrow minded thinker who speaks to people in a demeaning way" (which is what you called me in your thread) it would help your mission to get people to be open and discuss what you believe is offensive and keeps people away? dunno

RE: fear is learnt

I wonder if the descendants of a holocaust survivor (for instance) would be born with the same type of awareness you describe or whether there might be some unformulated/unexplained anxiety ....

RE: fear is learnt

Yes I understand that "toxic secrets" are the most damaging handshake

RE: fear is learnt

I wonder if someone does ancestral lineage healing whether that can be altered ...

RE: Eastern European, or western women .

Your last line made me laugh!! laugh

RE: I want to ask all women an important question!

ç

Add to the right of the screen says "Date Arab Ladies!"

started popping up all over the place after YCN's tread on dating Eastern women ...

RE: Do you think i am a bigot?

I would appreciate it if you stopped accusing me of things that aren't true.
I have never called you a biggot! Get your facts right!!
Tel your friend that sometimes you get angry with people and throw false accusations at them!!

RE: fear is learnt

Pedro, what do you think is the difference between being aware that something is "dangerous" and taking adequate steps for one's protection and "fearing" that something that is dangerous?

RE: fear is learnt

That's different. Babies don't inherit that kind of survival skills like would an animal because babies are protected by parents for many years.
Trauma memories do get passed down maternal ancestral lines and also eventually, if the trauma persists it will eventually become a "mutation" to protect from that trauma for example.

I read the most fascinating book recently about that particular subject. "The Seven Daughters of Eve" is a 2001 book by Bryan Sykes that presents the science of human mitochondrial genetics to a general audience. Sykes explains the principles of genetics and human evolution, the particularities of mitochondrial DNA, and analyses of ancient DNA to genetically link modern humans to prehistoric ancestors.
