There were so many people mingling and chatting after viewing the exhibition that we could hardly hear the 4 piece live band who admitedly were playing without mikes. I would hardly call that dull and boring ...
I fluctuate between living (the real world) and sitting on my butt on the net (the unreal world)
Judging by the compliments my artist colleagues and I received tonight at the Opening of the collective exhibition I organised, I'm definitely alive and kicking
I do that... I start threads sometimes then get really busy in RL and have a quick read of some answers every now and then but by the time I get time and energy to spend on the threads again too much time has ellapsed and so I let the threads go ... and a few times I discovered the threads had already been archived and I could not 'revive them'
I'm not attached to my threads and so I let them go when I'm busy living
Yes. And sometimes falling in love with the person who has a mental illness does not transform the situation into a workable relationship due to the 'side effects' of the mental illness. Sometimes one has to walk away in order to maintain ones own sanity in spite of the love one feels for the orher.
I've organised and I'm exhibiting in the first local art exhibition since 2019. It's a collective exhibition bringing together 14 artists. The Opening is tomorrow night. A 4 piece live band will be playing while people walk around viewing the works glass of wine in hand. I fee really excited
I think so too... I spent my life 'being taurus' and thinking 'I'm much more of a gemini' and thought it was because I was born on the cusp only a couple of hours before midnight on the last day of taurus. Someone did my birth chart last Summer and it turns out that it shows for me to be a gemini. Not sure how she worked it out...
If I were to 'fit in' with what women 'my age' wear where I live, I'd be dying my hair and wearing 'sensible clothes and shoes' ...
Totally agree with you. Can't beat style, elegance and aesthetics! Every now and then tbough, I like to throw in a wild card and dress a little more outrageously
Who sets the parameters of 'looking good for ones age' and 'dressing according to ones age'? Is it society? The magazines? The culture of our family and peers? The media generally?
I hear you. Not sure what she had to do to 'become a model' but if it involved plastic surgery not every youngster can afford it ... again only specukating ...
We can't know whether her experience left a wound or not before it kicked her into 'doing something to change her appearance'... depends whether having to change her appearance in order to like herself has left its mark or not ... The career of a model is never a long one. Good for her though while she's having a good time
Only people with a mental illness are allowed to make jokes about mental illness, and believe me the most hillarious jokes I've heard in my life were made my people in a psychiayric ward when I visited a loved one. So pretty much I don't need a lecture about mental illness or sense of humour. My daughter is cancer and so I don't need a lecture about cancer either. And yes you do put people down and are sarcastic on numerous occasions. Must be because you were in a bad mood on your way from outdoors to indoors
I hear you! Great revenge on the guy who dumped her! I hope she's healed her wound and trauma also as part of her 'transformation' else she could suffer further when her outer modelesque appearance fades with the passing time ...
The definition of bipolar is not ''moody'' or even ''moody as heck'' ... may be have a read up about what full blown bipolar symptoms are and you'll feel 'quite normal' about your moody episodes ...
RE: What is the point of creating a thread …
There were so many people mingling and chatting after viewing the exhibition that we could hardly hear the 4 piece live band who admitedly were playing without mikes. I would hardly call that dull and boring ...I'm also exhibiting 3 pieces of work...
Thank you
