Many people around here are saying the same thing about POF - thinking of joining it too.
Since joining CS last Spring, besides having fun, I've learnt a lot about people, which is of a great value to me - I've always been kind of sheltered from the outside world.
Even thought CS didn't serve the purpose I joined it for, I am glad I did anyways.[/quote
Agree! Really glad I joined CS; met a lot of fun people here. Enjoy the forums and exchanging viewpoints. HUGE perspective differences between how we view things as americans and say how the europeans view the same subject. Helps to balance out the input to get both sides of a story. And yeah, if you're looking to date, join the other site. Runs pretty much like CS. Highly recommend! Good luck to you!!
Hiya Laura! Pretty much agree with everything you said. Think CS has the best forums and the best format for same. It's also a lot of fun as it's very international so opinions/viewpoints vary a lot. But as far as actual dating goes, its tough because of the distances involved. Started on this site last spring and had one meet that led to a couple dates. On a different site (POF) completely different story. A lot more local people and as pretzelman says, they're serious about dating there! jmo.
HELLO!!! Why would anyone look to television to tell you what a perfect relationship is supposed to be??? Beats the hell out of me! REAL LIFE PEOPLE!! I think it's more about attitude than anything else. People are people; accept them for who and what they are. Adjust/adapt as the situation requires; relationships are about compromise and adapting to your partner. Each and every one of us is an individual and that takes some effort to work out the differences in how you both approach subjects.
Had to happen sooner or later. They were scanning email here in the states for quite a while before we even found out. P'd off when I first learned about it, but then after thinking some it really didn't bother me. The way I understand it, they scan for certain key words that red flag the message for closer inspection. Some of what I write might be embarrasing to me or another but if by doing so they can avert just one attack or save one life, decided I could live with it. Only thing that really bothers me is the possibility that the info could be used for the wrong reasons. Jmo.
Mine is a nickname I've had since I was a kid. Seems like all the males in my family get stuck with it. Number is an old street address - easy to remember.
Flowers seem to work for a first connect. Lot of ladies get a lot of email. If you get a response back from a flower, then email. At least she'll know who you are.
Morning all! Good questions Steveno. My wife developed epilepsy during the years we were married but it was completely controlled by medication. Dated a gal that was deaf while in college but, quite honestly, she was so good at lip reading it was hard to even catch that fact. Type of handicap would play a huge factor. Of course, you're assuming you actually have control of who you fall in love with; big assumption!
