Thanks a bunch! Always looking for new ones. Picked one up over the xmas holidays by Aglaia Kremezi "The Foods Of The Greek Isles" that's pretty good and seems to be fairly authentic. Love the spicing! Now, all I have to find is find a good feta here in the states! Lol!
Guess I'm pretty decent in the kitchen. Really enjoy trying different types of cuisines. Run the gamut from whitefish stuffed with shrimp and crab to shrimp almond ding. Played with greek recipies, love tapas, some indian, and cajun. Picked up the "Cordon Bleu" at home and am working my way through it. Some fantastic recipies there.
Each to his own, I guess. I KNOW where I'm at; I'm responsible for my actions and how/what happens to me. Absolutely NO ONE else. Sometimes good or bad things just happen. Period! Believe its called life.
Sort of understand what you mean. I think that if there is a god, he's so far removed from humankind that our petty trials/needs/circumstances are beneath his notice. The only miracles are the ones we make for ourselves or are too ignorant to understand as yet.
Been there; done that. Lost my 20 year old son out of the clear blue for no apparent reason; then lost my wife after a 4 year battle with lung cancer. Dealt with both and came through okay. Life just is, period. Sometimes its fantastic; sometimes it really sucks! Have to deal with the hand you're dealt. Never made a whole lot of sense to get bitter about things that I had absolutely no control over. Took a while to get to this point but its who/where I am now.
Saw the new Nicolas Cage flick, "Knowing" a couple nights ago. If you like Sci Fi, this is a must see. Great story and special effects. Builds a bit of tension too!
Hey John! How so?? I tend to push for a face to face as soon as possible. Until you actually meet, how can you possibly know anything?? So, all the questions aren't answered. Don't meet with an agenda; or any expectations for that matter. Just enjoy the experience and the time. Seems to have worked for me.
Hiya Annie! How does anyone respond to this? Can you meet someone? Yes! Can you make it happen? No, if its meant to be, it just happens. My story: Was married for 37 years; wife died from cancer year and a half ago after a 4 year battle. Got on this site last April. In Sept I joined POF. Met a gal there one week later; she instigated contact. We've been dating since October. It's exclusive now and just gets better and better. So, can it happen? Yes, but not when you expect it. Also, you can't have a whole list of expectations and expect to fulfill all of them. Just be open and let it happen if its meant to be!
Exact soul mate? Not sure there. Living with her on the weekends; not married, it gets complicated at my/our age. Sometime down the road? Possibly. Real love? All I can say is "Real possibility!" Time will tell!
None of the above, darlin. "I love you" is great but it doesn't begin to REALLY say how you feel. Words are really sort of sidelined. The things that aren't said when you're just holding her in your arms watching t.v., or the look she gives you as you speak; the kiss when you say goodnight or her smile when you say something. That's what I want, that's what I need, that's what I have now. Nothing better.
Hiya Ranee! This site seems to have a huge international following. Maybe because the forums are about the best I've run across. Watch out for the scammers; don't give out any personal info, ect.. Have our share of those here too! As for the age thing? Hell, whatever floats your boat! Good luck to you, darlin!
Don't know if they're the MOST down to earth people, but they are definitely a great bunch!! Was in Sidney in 70 and loved every single minute. People we're fantasically friendly!
Hiya Laura! Been lurking in the background; just not posting. Threads were a bummer there for awhile, know what I mean? Anyhow, back at it again! How ya doing, darlin?
Hiya mrali! Maybe its just your preconceived notion of how women are supposed to act and talk? We're all a product of the society we're brought up in. In the U.S. currently, women participate in EVERY single part of out society.
RE: Make a sentence.....
Now, lets try that over and over and over again until we get it perfect!!
