Strange. Just different ways of looking at things, I guess. Couldn't do that myself; would have to have the finality there. As far as marriage, just seems to me that you would want that level of commitment from a partner; no matter what you finally decide. Makes it more real; more permanent; know what I mean? Not as easy to walk away from.
Yeah, Laurie will always be a part of me. 36 wonderful years together; she's part of who I am and that will never change. No matter where I am, where I go, or what I do, she will ALWAYS be in my heart!
Great thread, kiddo! I'm constantly amazed/surprised at the "walls" people put up after being in a failed relationship/marriage. Have absolutely no experience there, so really came as a shock. What I've seen is a whole lot of trust issues - for both men and women. Makes it really hard to get anything going with a potential partner, when they're constantly questioning your motives. Personally, I don't work that way. I am what I am and say what I mean; take it or leave it. Will always give you the benefit of the doubt until you show me differently.
Sometimes its not just the lyrics; its all about the melody/harmony/music per se. Try listening to Diana Krall's version of "Love Letters". Says it all!!
Just curious here. Don't you want some finality to your relationship?? Don't quite understand where your coming from. Reading all these posts about "not getting married" and don't quite understand. Don't you want that level of commitment from your partner/spouse? Or is it just a matter of being afraid of being hurt if you give that type of commitment??
Try a few Belgium beers. After those, everything else tastes like a light beer. A few REALLY good ones - Chimay, Westvelteran, Westmalle, Rochfort. All made at Trappist monestaries; formula for some is 400/500 years old!
Nope. Some get a little carried away with wanting "toys". Think maybe its a stage guys go through; some outgrow it quickly, some never do. For a lot of us, work is strictly something we do to make cash so we can do what we REALLY like doing. And THAT can lead to a lot of speculation!!
So far so good. Chemistry is DEFINITELY there! Thats a good thing. Kind of shocked me, tho. Wasn't expecting anything like this. Smiling a LOT now!! Hang in there, darlin. When you least expect it .......
RE: How are the ex-smokers doing, still not back smoking?.fez up.you say your sooo happy then why smoke?
Sorry, kiddo! Just keep trying - sooner or later you'll succeed. I'm up to 6 weeks free now and at one time was doing 3 packs a day.
