We cannot afford to do that in his case. His policies are too extreme and they are already ruining us. Just look at the utterly disastrous "deal" with Iran, or all the terrorists he has released (many of whom are back fighting - he released 10 this week without telling anyone). Every time he gets out his little red pen more bad things happen.

Because our government has proven over and over that it cannot manage its way out of a paper bag. The VA is a government-run program. I cannot think of one large federal agency that isn't grossly mismanaged and filled with fraud. It would be a complete travesty to entrust them with all of our health care

Sanders routinely describes his ideal health care plan as "Medicare for all," and that program is completely under federal control.

The WSJ estimated (badly) that everything Bernie Sanders wants would cost an astounding $18 trillion over 10 years.



Others have estimated $1.7 trillion per year for the first 5 years, which means we’d need to raise the national tax rate by about 52% to avoid increasing deficit further. If the government’s revenue mixed stayed constant we’d need to increase individual tax burden from 31.5% of income to 48% – the theoretical highest in the world.

When talking about President Dwight Eisenhower's administration, Sanders said, "I think the highest marginal tax rate was something like 90 percent."

CNBC's John Harwood then said, "It was 90. When you think about 90 percent, you don't think that's obviously too high."

Sanders replied, "No. What I think we've seen, and what frightens me again, when you have the top one-tenth of 1 percent owning almost as much wealth as the bottom 90 percent. Does anybody think that that is the kind of economy this country should have? Do we think it's moral?

OK smartie pants... I believe he did say he would consider a 90% tax on the rich, but NOT 92% as in the past - but it's a moot point. Why don't you tell me how he IS proposing to pay for all this free stuff, because THAT is every bit as important as having "pretty" plans that sound good.

Maybe she saw the long hair and assumed, "Dope smoking, hippy liberal?" Personally I'm old enough to still like long hair on guys, but back then they weren't all dope smoking liberals.

My problem with Sanders is that he doesn't have a respectable plan to pay for all these free programs he's promoting. A 90% tax rate on wealthy is just obscene. Trying to implement his socialist doctrines would just take the existing mess and make it far, FAR worse, imho

Hey! I'm still a Rubio girl, but I would vote for any of the front runners over Hillary or Sanders. I just think Trumpie has some specific skills we desperately need in Washington... and I do appreciate how he has single handedly eviscerated all the very OPPRESSIVE "Political Correctness" certain people () have inflicted on us.

I was just reading last night that the Royal Bank of Scotland is sending out letters predicting a "Cataclysmic" year and advising clients to "Sell Everything." JP Morgan is also quoted as saying something similar.

"Sell everything except high quality bonds," they said.

Snopes does a good job on stories that aren't political, but they have been caught on numerous occasions either being flat out wrong, or deliberately misleading - and they always err in favor of democrats.

I watched his Lazarus video last night and thought nobody should have to chronicle their own death. Not that he actually was doing that, but you have to know he was hinting in that direction. So sad, but classic Bowie.

A half billion dollars a year worth of women not qualifying? Perhaps they should keep the $20 million they are going to give to Hillary and use it for the LESS FORTUNATE they claim to care so much for.

Either way, nobody is trying to take funds from women in need. Congress just wants to allocate the money to OTHER women's centers that are not harvesting baby parts
