RE: GROUPS OF PAST BAIN'S EUROPEAN EMPLOYEES EN ROUTE TO USA

Liberals love to spout how Obama saved GM - but they never mention the enormous tax bill owed to "we the people" or the 2,000 car dealerships they demanded the company close. That's approximately 50 jobs per dealership...you do the math.

But oh yeah...they don't count because they aren't union jobs. very mad

Why is closing 2,000 car dealerships in the course of restructuring GM any different than what Bain often has to do???? dunno confused dunno

RE: GROUPS OF PAST BAIN'S EUROPEAN EMPLOYEES EN ROUTE TO USA

Agreed. Those companies would be shuttered and all of the employees would be out of work had someone not intervened. Better to lose 100 employees if 800 can keep their jobs. thumbs up

RE: GROUPS OF PAST BAIN'S EUROPEAN EMPLOYEES EN ROUTE TO USA

Slow down boys sir bobby

I know you just love to eat up all that party rhetoric and anything you think that can discredit Romney but the facts just aren't as easy as you want them to be. It must bug you that there is so little dirt on him, but that's what happens when there isn't much dirt to begin with. But back to Bain...

Are you aware that there are two Bains? One is Bain Capital and one is Bain and Company - which is not a private equity firm at all. Now I know you don't want to hear all this but facts are facts...

Bain & Company and Bain Capital are separate companies, with no shared ownership, governance or employees.

Bain & Company is not a private equity firm. It is a global business consulting firm, serving clients across six continents in multiple industries, including the private equity industry. They are the world's leading advisor to the private equity industry and its stakeholders.

Mitt Romney Bain & Company from 1977 to 1985. In 1985, as a vice president, he left to help found Bain Capital.

He rejoined Bain & Company in the early 1990s to help the firm develop and execute a turnaround plan. He led a financial restructuring that included renegotiation of debt held by major creditors and put Bain & Company on the path to lasting growth and success.

He left Bain & Company in 1992 to return to Bain Capital.

Today, Bain & Company is a world-renowned consulting firm with 5,500 employees around the globe and has been ranked "The Best Firm to Work For" by Consulting magazine for 10 years in a row.

RE: GROUPS OF PAST BAIN'S EUROPEAN EMPLOYEES EN ROUTE TO USA

If Romney had wanted personal wealth he would have never left Bain Capital to enter public service. He would be a billionaire by now, like George Soros, the hedge fund queen.

RE: Obama's ring: 'There is no god but Allah'

I have no problem with paying taxes to support Federal programs that contribute to the well being of our society. But I have a BIG problem with a federal government that is assuming more and more control every year over things that only benefit politicians, while squandering those taxes on union payoffs which only perpetuate the crimes. The federal system is not grossly inept and sprawling way beyond it's capacity or intent.

And what ever happened to the concept of "All men are created equal?" Why is it the government's job to pick and choose who pays more taxes than others? A flat consumption tax would me much fairer.

RE: ROMNEY'S LATEST SHAMEFUL LIE!

OK....Here's more on the story of missing weapons.

"When British diplomats abandoned their offices in Benghazi over the summer after the British ambassador’s motorcade was attacked with rocket-propelled grenades, their security detail left its weapons and vehicles in the custody of the U.S. consulate in that eastern Libyan city.

...Before withdrawing, however, British officials reached an agreement with the U.S. consulate to leave their weapons and vehicles at the poorly guarded U.S. compound.

“We are working with the U.S. to establish what, if anything, has happened to this equipment,” British news agencies quoted an unnamed Foreign Office spokesman as saying.

The issue of the missing weapons and vehicles came to light during testimony Wednesday at a congressional hearing in Washington, where Lt. Col. Andrew Wood of the Utah National Guard, who headed a 16-member U.S. military security force in Libya, revealed that the British would return periodically to Benghazi and reclaim the weapons, then give them back to the Americans when they left the city again.

Wood added that he had expected an attack to come sooner or later. “I almost expected the attack to come,” he said. “We were the last flag flying. It was a matter of time. The security in Benghazi was a struggle and remained a struggle throughout my time there.”

RE: ROMNEY'S LATEST SHAMEFUL LIE!

Last week's Congressional hearing into the Benghazi attack made big news as the cover up, lies and deception of the Obama Administration unraveled before our eyes.

Many other outlets will report on the combination of outrageous incompetence and unmitigated arrogance of the so-called “Career State Department Officials” that led to the loss of four lives in the Benghazi attack

That aspect of this despicable episode of foreign policy blundering will not go away. But something more seems to have been lost here.

Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-Cleveland), a staunch and consistent opponent of American intervention in the Middle East, reminded everyone that:
•Our bombing and destruction of Libya was not authorized.
•Obama never received approval from Congress for any of the actions America took in that war.

RE: ROMNEY'S LATEST SHAMEFUL LIE!

That's very true. Moreover, while there are many similarities between the two plans, the devil is in the details - and they are very different in that regard.

Obamacare will not work. Obama knows this, but does not care.

RE: ROMNEY'S LATEST SHAMEFUL LIE!

And here is the shame of all of this...... the Obamacare taxes, the Obamacare truth, inflation, bankruptcy, etc..... all of it was carefully designed not to hit the American public until after he gets re-elected.

I shudder to think what he has in store for us after seeing what he's done so far.

RE: ROMNEY'S LATEST SHAMEFUL LIE!

Trickle down economics is not the source of our problems - and if you look at Bush's record of job growth it was quite healthy until the Democrats took over Congress and started spending like fools. That was 15 months before the crisis hit...only time I've ever seen them work so fast in my life.

What Obama wants is trickle-down government (with a few healthy wars thrown in for good measure). Good luck finding financial success living off a clogged government drip line. thumbs down

RE: Obama's ring: 'There is no god but Allah'

I can give you 16 trillion reasons why Obama is NOT the lesser of two evils. uh oh doh uh oh While he has managed to bankrupt us with pretty-sounding, ILLOGICAL programs - he's also managed to divide us as never before. Fiscally, socially, internationally, legislatively...we are all worse off for his leadership.

It's not surprising since Democrats wallow in a culture of corruption. It is the sole basis of their power. And I'm sorry - but this business of making pretty emotional pleas to the poor and ignorant is a deliberate effort on their part to keep the poor and ignorant DOWN. They want them dependent on them because that's how they stay in power. It sucks on all levels what they are doing.

If you took every member of Obama's administration and changed their party title to republican while publishing their actual actions - liberals all over the world would be banging their spoons on their high chairs and screaming FOUL!!!!!

It's bad enough that Obama has surrounded himself with policy makers who are tax cheats, liars and registered Socialists - what's worse is that The White House, as a matter of policy, is rewriting legal contracts, picking winners (mostly labor unions and mortgage defaulters) and singling out losers (evil "speculators") while much of the biased media continue to ponder whether Obama is better than FDR.

If a Republican administration, staffed with cronies from Goldman Sachs and Citibank, was cutting special deals for its political allies, the liberal media would be screaming from the rooftops.

Don't be fooled by pretty words and empty promises. Look at the bottom line...

Lots of couples I know get hung-up and fight over little nit picky things instead of agreeing that it's OK to disagree. One does not have to "give into" the other unless it's a serious issue requiring compromise, which anyone can handle if you approach it as an adult. Just understand the differences between you and be considerate instead of bulldozing your opinion over theirs and insisting your right.

Generally, if you R E S P E C T the person then you should respect their opinions, whether you agree or not.

Hey guess what.... Biden Lied! (no surprise there)

What Joe Biden said: “By the way, they talk about this great recession like it fell out of the sky–like, ‘Oh my goodness, where did it come from? It came from this man voting to put two wars on a credit card, at the same time, put a prescription drug plan on the credit card, a trillion dollar tax cut for the very wealthy.” He added, “I was there, I voted against them. I said, no, we can’t afford that.”

What Joe Biden did: Voted for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

RE: Who wins the VP debate?

This is interesting... Gallop has had to change it's polling methodology because the Obama Administration threatened to sue them if they didn't. First Chik-Fil-A, now Gallop. You folks really want four more years of this?

RE: Who wins the VP debate?

CNN Poll: Ryan Wins
Thursday, 11 Oct 2012 11:36 PM

Paul Ryan narrowly won the vice presidential debate, according to a CNN poll taken immediately after it ended.

The challenger won 48 percent of the vote to incumbent Joe Biden¹s 44 percent, the network said. He also bested Biden in virtually every other category.

The poll also said that 51 percent thought Ryan did better than expected, with 19 percent saying he did worse than expected. When the same question was asked about Biden, 55 percent said he did better and 26 percent said he did worse.

It showed that 28 percent said that Ryan helped Mitt Romney more than Biden helped President Barack Obama, while just 21 percent said the other way round. That esult prompted Blitzer to say “All the indications are, this was a draw.”

Other responses showed that Ryan was considered more likeable by a 53 to 43 percent margin; he expressed himself better by 50 to 41 percent and seven out of 10 respondents said Biden spent more time attacking his opponent.

CNN also reported that, just like in last week's the first presidential debate, the Democrat spoke more than the Republican. Biden came out at 41 minutes, 32 seconds, while Ryan spoke for 40 minutes, 12 seconds (not counting Biden's numerous interruptions.laugh )

At last week¹s presidential debate, President Barack Obama spoke for some four minutes more than Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

What's nutty is you don't seem to have any comprehension of what's been dominating the news this past month regarding Obama's horrific handling of the Libya situation and why our Ambassador and three Americans were left over there with no protection to be murdered.

If you don't get that, or if somehow you think it was excusable to deny them protection and then lie to the American people for weeks, then I can't help you.
