Hmmmmm America and Americans. Well some are nice and some are not so nice - pretty much like every where else. Some are quite enlightened and some really do need to get out more and see the world. As for being the world's savior - well it is the most powerful country currently is it not? But nations rise and nations fall, it has been that way since the dawn of time, who knows what the future will bring? Who knows if they will maintain there military dominance, another country could rise up and be the new power, as a student of history I know it has happened before, my question is are Americans ready for that should it happen?

Okay I'm going to ask some burning question - anyone feel free to answer. First point, I know the US has lots of resources at its disposal so I KNOW you people are cabable of doing proper background checks. Secondly, I thought Americans came in all flavours and many have ancestry from various countries around the world. Now lets put those two things together, Obama has been in office for how long now? Shouldn't all this have been figured out BEFORE he became your President? Hasn't the bull kinda aready beaten down the stall and escaped?

We are an oil producing nation - which means that financially in many ways we are better off than many of our neighbours,but our wealth and resources need to be put to its best use to BENEFIT all our people not just a few. The Yoke of colonialism and colonialistic thinking has not fully gone away and I think has kept us back from reaching our full potential. Whereas some governments just have one country to deal with we have two. Each with similar and different needs. The world is changing at a fast pace and we must keep up or be left behind technology wise. Our greatest resource - our people, are capable of holding our own on the world stage with the big boys once we make our presence felt. Its not just about putting up big buildings, its about caring for this little plot of paradise we have here, caring for each other and its about changing some of our backward mindsets and demonstrating even more pride in who we are as a people. We are not perfect, there is work still to be done, but we are full of potential and I think once you have leadership with vision we will be successfull in securing our nations future for generations to come.

i can tell you for sure long distance relationships do never work..(Well nothing is sure dear but death and taxes)you are wasing your time you may as well just not date anyone if you are going to look for someone thats 1000 miles away..(Its not that everyone deliberately goes looking for love at a distance, but sometimes you cannot predict who you will fall for or where they will come from, its an international site after all)its to much pain and heart ache..(So what about all the success stories from here, were those all just illusions?)[/quote

Not found myself in this type of serious situation yet but if you're on an international site the chances are that it could happen. Some will decide that the distance is not worth it. Others will decide to go brave and give it a shot - it might as well as it might not work out. Its all a risk. With so many obstacles why do you guys think people would be drawn to an international dating site when local might have been so much easier? Just asking.
