Have you taken a good looked at the human body - Amazing bit of craftsmanship (looking at it from an artist's perspective). Personally I don't think you could create such a masterpiece and have no knowledge of science, I'd say its essential, and certainly an eye for the artistic helps as well. I wouldn't knock science it has its place. Having an understanding of science should help one APPRECIATE even more the wonders around us, not turn them into a jaded skeptic.
I saw the 2D version recently and lets face it we've seen versions of this type of scripting before. I think the movie does two things. Firstly its deliberately designed to blow you away visually. You don't invest that kind of money on a film, with that kind of animation so people can put up their feet and yawn.
Secondly, there were lots of subtle and not so subtle messages that were being sent. There are definite parallels in history that as a person living in this part of the world I can relate to. There are lots of movies whose purpose is simply to entertain and nothing more, I don't think this movie was done simply for entertainment purposes or simply to make a bag of money, I think the guy had a message/messages to send and you'd have to be real blind not to see what those are.
Actually no. God is a concept created by man because he wanted to ensure that he could keep food in his belly and disaster from his door. If you trace it back through history, religion probably started when people started to settle down and ceased from being hunter/gatherers like during the Neolithic Revolution. A lot of religion stems from wanting to appease whatever force man thought was controlling the elements and by extension causing his crops to grow, so the 'sun god' had to be appeased, for others the 'rain god' etc... From there it progressed and grew. So its all boils down to filling ones belly and an appreciation for the fact that they knew they DIDN'T CONTROL or even UNDERSTAND ALL THINGS, a point we often tend to forget today until some disaster strikes.
Exactly. For some God is MONEY,for others its POWER and yet others sheer GREED. There are others that worship at the shrine of the 'God' FOOD, DRUGS or endless PARTYING. There are those whose 'God' is WAR, HATE and PREJUDICE. Some folks worship their 'God' so much that they not only affect themselves but the rest of us as well. So don't tell me there is no God, I'd say there is PLENTY evidence of 'God',just look all around you.
