What do you know of ALL other religions? Have you read up on all the other religions that exist or have ever existed? Have you become an expert? I'm sure you will find that there were those that never instructed believers to go out and harm their fellow man , what I do know is that from the dawn of time man has been killing his fellow man, weather for survival,for greed, for the sheer heck of it- religion is just another reason you can tack on there. You expect me to believe that religion caused all of that? And what of those that hold no beliefs, you want me to believe they are not capable of hurting anyone? There are evil people who are religious and there are non religious people who are also evil. People can be evil. But then there are those that choose not to be. That is why I spoke about man's nature. And don't be telling me about history books I've been studying history since I was knee high, and all through high school and University. Its one thing to read a book and another thing to truly understand it. And lets face it one had to be careful what they read and use as gospel.

Look at history. People are always searching for something(or someone) to believe in.

Ever hear of a little thing called interpretation. Two people read something and come away with two totally different ideas about what they've read? Yeah it happens. I know it does cause I've never heard that you could only repent on your death bed. Sure you can be repentant on your deathbed - but does that mean that you get a 'free pass inside'? Well since neither you or I have been over to see what happens we don't really know do we? But sure enough one day I'm sure we will one way or the other. I'm don't know if Saddam was sorry for anything other than the fact that his time in this world was up.

And for the last time no I never said that heaven or hell was only for Christians, you seem awfully concerned for someone who doesn't believe. Where does the rest of the world go? How the heck should I know? Am I God? I don't know maybe they go out for a burger and a shake. You're the theology expert here.

See now you've gone and gotten my mockery glands raised up. Sheesh, now I've got to wait till I croak so I can repent!

If one doesn't believe in God(in the Christian sense) and organised religions - of which Christianity is one, then what's the point of believing in a heaven or a hell for that matter? Just carry on living and believing what you will, do your good or bad works and let the chips fall where they may when its time to go to the Six Foot Under Cafe. I'm sure you also understand(I hope) that not every Christian church follows the same doctrines. You upset because Mr. 'bad Christian' goes about repenting on his deathbed and is supposed to get this 'free pass' into heaven while old money bags was busy doing good works? You think a person should be rewarded by someone they don't believe in? I look at it from a practical sense. That why I used the example of the house owner. If there is a God then isn't it really up to the owner/God to decide who he deems as worthy to get in, whether you've done a million 'good deeds' or not. Anyway You're agnostic and don't believe in heaven or hell so it won't matter since you probably won't be around to see who does eventually get in anyway.

Did you see me write the above sentence? No? I repeat I never said that heaven was only for Christians.

And no I have no plans of repenting for my sense of humor - why should I? I like it and it serves me well. Much nicer I would say than if I were in a truly MOCKING mood - which I'm not.

Its not my fault if you don't understand the deeper meaning behind what I've written (lord knows I've tried). Perhaps YOU should be the one to decide who gets mercy or not.

Firstly, If you have a problem with the views you put on the thread being questioned, why did you put them on the thread to be questioned?

Secondly Are you saying that heaven and hell are only available for Christians? If so what happens to the rest of the world?

Thirdly Doesn't the bible say that if you are Christian and repentant for your sins you will be allowed into heaven?

Finally You are taking a figurative term 'arrives at the gates of heaven' literally which is a deliberate attempt at obfuscation.

Firstly I've got no problem with my view being question - if and I say IF its what I said but when it isn't then yes I'm GOING TO HAVE A PROBLEM.

Secondly I never said heaven was only available to Christians, but then you seem to know so much about who is turning up at the gates that perhaps you've already taken a trip there.

Thirdly you got to learn to separate you issues a little better than that. Look at it this way, you own a home, do you have rules for who is allowed to enter your home? Can just anyone come in from the streets and plop down on your couch be they thief, psychopath, etc...I'm betting no right? Well the same applies, its up to the owner to decide who gets in to your figuritive heaven and who doesn't not the person on the other side of the door - just because they THINK they should. I'm sure you get my drift now.

I think there are certain steps to falling in love, meeting online is just one of those steps. Meeting in RL another. While some have gotten 'lucky' that the fantasy was the same as the reality there is a saying we have here:

See me and come live with me is two different things.

If the reality always fitted the bill then CS should have become a ghost town by now.

I think you can develop a deep infatuation, meeting just confirms the infatuation and can then lead to something deeper. However, how many have thought it was 'love' only to be disappointed when the meeting finally occurred.

Well if you did kick the bucket I don't know that 'testifying' would be on your immediate agenda - since you've got no clue where you'll be spending this life after death or even who or what you'll become. I wouldn't worry about those virgins either since over on the other side you don't know if you'll be able to do anything more than look at the merchandise.

Well you could easily get the evidence you want about life after death - but it would require you to die to get it. I'm betting you think that getting this evidence isn't really all that urgent right

Running off to holiday in some far flung country has its perks I guess but heck why go all the way there when I haven't even been to all the islands right here in the Caribbean - now that's my dream. After I've seen all them beautiful Caribbean Islands then I would think about going to visit the rest of the world.

Why do they talk so much about what? Yes women talk, its a form of communication. Some women talk more than others. Are you saying men just sit around all day in silence like they are living in a monastery? All I need to do is drop by one of our local watering holes to listen to hours of babble coming from intoxicated men and even when they aren't intoxicated they still babble - a lot of it having to do with work, woman problems or which piece they scored with last night.
