Just a side note by kind of important. The Sumerian culture existed LONG before the bible was written but they were sacked by a people called the Akkadians which were Semitic in origin and this is more than likely what enabled the stories of the Sumerians to be passed down and eventually make their way to the bible.

Getting back to Mary, she was described as "almah" in the bible which translates in Hebrew to "young woman". This would have been an accurate description if left alone. For whatever reason, Christian theologians changed the word "almah" to mean virgin. The word "virgin" in Hebrew is "bethula". Hrmmm.
The atheists are not in a position to have to prove or substantiate anything. You are. You are the one making a positive assertion for the existence of a deity. The atheists are making a negative assertion. The burden of proof falls on you, not the atheists.

The point is that you NEVER gave anyone credit and you would have continued to do this. You need to CITE your sources, young lady! This would also explain your compete lack of comprehensive rebuttal. You were taking someone else’s blog and fashioning it as your own words.
If you don’t want to debate this then fine but we have the right to commandeer your thread and speak our minds. If all you are capable of doing is proselytizing and not even in your own words, then the hell with it.
