RE: DIVINE CREATOR or Darwin's Theory ?

Lot refuses to give up his angels to the perverted mob, offering his two "virgin daughters" instead. He tells the bunch of angel rapers to "do unto them [his daughters] as is good in your eyes." This is the same man that is called "just" and "righteous" in Peter 2

How did Mary become pregnant?

How so? confused

How did Mary become pregnant?

No he didnt, I was joking on that one. But he's flipped out on a couple threads today. applause

How did Mary become pregnant?

I think so. I feel its very likely he was intimate with her. She may have even bore him children.

How did Mary become pregnant?

Here and Jesus were close "friends."

This was taken from the Gospel of Philip. It was conveniently not included in the bible.

There were three who always walked with the Lord: Mary, his mother, and her sister, and Magdalene, the one who was called his companion. His sister and his mother and his companion were each a Mary.

RE: DIVINE CREATOR or Darwin's Theory ?

There is absolutely nothing to substantiate the premise behind the reanimation of dead flesh. We have bones that are 3.2 million years old. So what’s the excuse for Jesus? Oh and that Shroud of Turin? Hoax. Surely you should be able to accommodate something of evidentiary value. Perhaps the bones of Adam and Eve? They are what, 8000 years old? Why do you expect paleontologists to jump though hoops and produce more and more physical evidence when you have jack?

How did Mary become pregnant?

A lot of it is just plagiarized. The bible is more or less copied from the Sumerian stone tablets. They have the "Tree of Knowledge" they have "The Great Flood" The list goes on...

I thought his outbursts were most inappropriate and comical. He also freaked out on the "favorite ice cream flavor" thread. He has a short fuse apparently. grin

RE: Could most humans be already robots, and we don't realise it?

Yes I sometimes have concerns about these "evangelical cyborgs". I’m busy installing Jesus proof fencing to surround the perimeter of my property as we speak. very happy

RE: DIVINE CREATOR or Darwin's Theory ?

I edited your OWN post so that I could ask you a question based on that ONE sentence. ANYONE on forum is capable of reading your post in its entirety if they felt it necessary to do so; I know nothing of a sort. You failed to even read the preceding dialogue otherwise you would realize that my hell comment was made in jest.

Once again I ask, WHICH GOD?

And you determine the approximate size of these gods by what method?

RE: DIVINE CREATOR or Darwin's Theory ?

So is Jesus but we dont have his skeletal remains.

RE: Holy prophets

Im not sure that addresses my post but okay...wink

RE: DIVINE CREATOR or Darwin's Theory ?

Clealry that comment was made in jest.

Who says we "cant handle this." Im doing just fine. And to which "god" do you refer? confused

RE: Holy prophets

How do you know what's permanent or not? confused

RE: Holy prophets

You I would describe as a "designer Christian" I believe that the three world religions which all took root out of the Mediterranean region of the world are indeed the operations of agenda driven men and not of any "divine creatrix." This would consist of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

My own personal spirituality is irrelevant to this discussion. All I have heard you espouse thus far is the virtues of Christianity and act as apologetic for the faith.

RE: Holy prophets

Well why would such a divine creator request that we stone to death innocent people?

RE: Holy prophets

Well so far that would not be the Bible or Koran. More people have been put to death over religious disagreement than for any other reason in the history of the planet.

RE: Holy prophets

Yes of course. This is slearly evidenced in Greek Mythology. However once you cross that line and claim the bible to be the holy word of god, then that is where the point of contention is made. It simply is not the word of any divine creator.

RE: Holy prophets

So I dont understand the point of your post? Are you simply making a statement?

The bible and the Koran are nothing more than creation mythologies. They are no more credible or superior than that of any other creation myth. In fact all of those Mediterranean based world religions are questionable.

How did Mary become pregnant?

It’s more than that. Some of the Sumerian stone tablets have stories that were essentially plagiarized much later in the bible. They were sacked by the Akkadians who were a Semitic people in origin and that is how the connection was made. Probably the stories were passed down. Hrrrmmm. Moses was based on King Sargon. The Sumerians possibly have a case for copyright infringement. confused

RE: DIVINE CREATOR or Darwin's Theory ?

Well whats that saying? All the interesting people will end up in hell anyway? laugh

RE: DIVINE CREATOR or Darwin's Theory ?

It’s an individual belief. The nice thing is that if you refuse to accept the Theory of Evolution, no scientists will condemn you to eternal hellfire.

How did Mary become pregnant?

Right. I have glanced through a book about that. It was called "Pagan Christ". The parallels are fascinating.

RE: is it possible to fall in love chatting online

Yes it happens but I feel that until you physically meet, you can’t know for certain if you will possess the same feelings and level of intensity for them as you have when it’s behind a computer screen. I’ve known plenty of people who thought they were in love and then met, and nothing. Not even a spark. Just be careful. If you want to keep it online, there is no harm in that either as long as you both understand this and are okay with it.

RE: DIVINE CREATOR or Darwin's Theory ?

Well to try to bring this back on topic, I’m a proponent of macro evolution. I feel the evidence to support this is overwhelming at this point. Of course people can believe whatever they like, however it is my understanding that with the exception of very fundamentalist Christians, most all religions take no issue with the theory of biological evolution and human anthropogenesis.

Good lord, have another drink why dont ya. rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Capital Punishment

Well yes that’s part of the argument against it. Also it might act as a deterrent for people to enter into the field of criminal law if they felt the amount of money they could make would be restricted in some respect. They are still putting in the time and effort of course for the same trial. And if you think our legal system is back up now, just wait. It’s also not a solution but it has possibilities. It would level the playing field to some degree.

RE: Capital Punishment

Yes the issue becomes considerably more complicated when viewed in that light. There was a move to "cap" the amount of money and resources that can be utilized over the course of a criminal trial proceeding in which a defendant is looking at life or the DP.
