Yes! My 18 yr. old got busted for 'underage consumption' I got that call at 11pm - come pick up your son at the :( jail :(
He had court and paid his fine (he worked part time).
Then we (parents & kids) had to go to the courthouse one evening for a meeting. It was an interesting talk, and come to find out, this is all part of a diversion plan. If these kids ages 18-20, complete 20 hours of community service (my son finished that) and paid their fine, by December 22, it will all be cleared off his record!
YES I was very happy with that.
Has he quit drinking? Well, he did and was attending AA meetings. He has since started attending Hare Krishna meetings, has been a vegetarian for over a year, and he likes the mellowness of these meetings, peace, love and be good to your body.

Yes, in N.E. Ohio we have tv commercials on both sides, just got one mail ad from the McCain side, and quite a few radio commercials about Obama that I hear from someone's radio at work.
I just got back today from a meeting to get Obama elected. I've been chosen as the canvassing coordinator for my neighborhood. Waiting for further instructions on that.
The turnout today was so good that we had overflow into an outdoor area, that's great! Especially in these neighborhoods where they say we have "closet Democrats"
First, I think that McCain has not said anything about the war except to "fight fight fight"
If you are talking about O'Reilly, Obama did say that it would be preemptive ... I think he makes sense and that Obama's answers are more complex than "fight...."

To me, a single mom, raised two sons and works, this race is NOT about gender! It is about qualifications. I believe Obama is the only answer here. It has nothing to do with a "woman in the whitehouse"
After listening to Obama's acceptance speech, them McCain's, that should wrap it up for anyone, but apparently we (Democrats) have more work to do.
I am looking at the issues of "privatizing schools" not a good thing, "privatizing social security" not good, and McCain's speech was empty and uninformative.
I believe that McCain and his group want to keep the average working person down and keep the wealthy status the same. They want two classes of people, them and the working people who will never survive another four years of the republicans.
Yes if I thought I could EVER make $300,000 I'd be on their side. But most of us never will.
The govt. is supposed to be "by and for the people" not against us.
