Of late I've said "All things being equal I' rather I didn't have mine." but now realizing it means I'll never find myself in a relationship with a women who wouldn't consider a relationship with someone because they have a tattoo, I've reconsidered.
That would be interesting. I've read a little about his efforts, but I don't recall enough to speak on the matter intelligently.
Induction charging could be interesting to.
We could maybe move the electrical transmission lines under the roads and charge while driving to extend range. It would be nice to find a financial mechanism to support buried lines in more places, just from an aesthetic viewpoint if nothing else.
What's easy to not see from outside the country, is the success the media keeps talking about is with republicans. That's a dieing party, the general election will look nothing like this.
Bush did real damage to that party.
The last few years Bush stopped even pretending to be representing the will of the people.
The republicans couldn't have gotten Christ himself elected in 2008.
They lost running and old white war hero, against a black man with a scary last name.
They haven't helped themselves since then either.
8 years of obstructionism come with a cost, as does a seemingly unstoppable river of gaffs regarding women's reproductive rights.
Most of those 70%, like myself, aren't really bothering to talk about Trump a lot, because he isn't able to win the general.
It's the unheard minority that screams the loudest online. Social liberals were as vocal here 8 to 10 years ago, as conservatives are now. That was a reaction to Bush's presidency. The longer Obama has been in office, the more the din on the forums has shifted from liberal to conservative.
The unrepresented feel unheard, and shout into the abyss.
You'll see evidence, of my need to be heard as a social liberal being met somewhere other than here, in that I'm unlikely to feel the need to respond to the mewling conservative reaction to my assesment of the state of their party.
I have no need to, my voice will carry in another election soon enough.
I've done my grieving over the internal combustion engine, now I'm excited and looking forward to electrics becoming mainstream.
I'm curious to see how we handle roadside assistance for those who run out of electricity on the road. Will we tow them to a charging station or will we fit trucks to give them a small quick charge that'll get them a couple miles? I'm curious to see if quick charging evolves first, or if we end up with standardized batteries that on road trip we swap out out for charged batteries like our propane tank exchanges.
We will need to look at our electric grid, and power generation from both a capacity and environmental impact angle, but that needs to be done anyway.
I think some of it can be confirmation bias yes, but I think we're also impaired by only having had our experiences.
For instance it may be harder for me to accurately asses the reason for a woman's behavior than a man's, as I haven't experienced being a woman in my culture.
From wikipedia....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attribution_bias
"In psychology, an attribution bias or attributional bias is a cognitive bias that refers to the systematic errors made when people evaluate or try to find reasons for their own and others' behaviors. People constantly make attributions regarding the cause of their own and others' behaviors; however, attributions do not always accurately mirror reality. Rather than operating as objective perceivers, people are prone to perceptual errors that lead to biased interpretations of their social world."
As a hobby behaviorist, this hits pretty close to home.
Video Thread - Twerking welcome.
I was disappointed the dog escaped the press unharmed.
I'm not completely comfortable with that.
