Largely, you get back what you put in.

If you're having a positive experience, you're likely getting back what you're putting out.

National Popular Vote Interstate Compact

From wikipwdia...

"The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) is an agreement among a group of U.S. states and the District of Columbia to award all their electoral votes to whichever presidential candidate wins the overall popular vote in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The compact is designed to ensure that the candidate who receives the most votes nationwide is elected president, and it would come into effect only when it would guarantee that outcome. As of November 2020, it has been adopted by fifteen states and the District of Columbia. These states have 196 electoral votes, which is 36% of the Electoral College and 73% of the 270 votes needed to give the compact legal force.

Certain legal questions may affect implementation of the compact. Some legal observers believe states have plenary power to appoint electors as prescribed by the compact; others believe that the compact will require congressional consent under the Constitution's Compact Clause or that the presidential election process cannot be altered except by a constitutional amendment..."

For those who don't like links, the name of the wikipedia article is the same as the title of this thread.

The states currently in the pact hold 196 of the 270 electoral voted needed to decide the outcome of the US presidential election.

Another four states with 60 electoral votes combined are pending(In process but waiting until after this election to decide?), adoption in those states would bring the total to 266 of the 270 needed electoral votes.

For those not in the know there's a thing commonly referred to as the wayback machine.

It's an internet archive at archive.org

Per wikipedia...

"The Wayback Machine is a digital archive of the World Wide Web, founded by the Internet Archive, a nonprofit library based in San Francisco. It allows the user to go “back in time” and see what websites looked like in the past. Its founders, Brewster Kahle and Bruce Gilliat, developed the Wayback Machine with the intention of providing "universal access to all knowledge" by preserving archived copies of defunct webpages.

Since its launch in 2001, over 463 billion pages have been added to the archive."

Tom's mad at me because I used the archive to link to his old profile from 2012 and show that he was claiming in 2012 to be several years older than he is claiming to be now.

Now he's going to try and troll me by calling me an idiot but claiming it's all in fun because of the little laughy emoticons after it.

Here' the original link I shared to his 2012 profile claiming he was 61 at time,

Just a reminder you can't see or hear who you're interacting with here.

There is no barrier of entry that keeps minors and and people with processing issues off the site.

They're harder to spot when all you can see of them is what they type.

I've no doubt folks regularly catch a mouthfull here, that would be treated with more compassion and understanding if they could be seen and or heard.

I not calling for raindbows and unicorns, I surely don't operate that way,

I'm just offering a reminder to consider how far you might be punching down here sometimes.

RE: Trump wins....

It was a little funny.

RE: Election Prediction

Ranked choice voting is starting to be used in some states for some elections.

We've a long way to go, but it's a start in the right direction.

No progress I'm aware of on the money issue though.

RE: Mutton dressed as lamb

Go easy on Tommy, he's sensitive about aging.

His current profile claims he's in his late 50s.

He's actually 70.

Here's his old profile from Jan 2012 claiming he was 61 at the time.
