RE: Avoiding Plagiarism

It's not at all difficult to throw quotation marks up

on a copy/pasted passage and say from www...

It's not even like a source is needed.

There's dozens of simple ways to let the reader know the words aren't ours, unless we want to pass them off as ours.

It's not hard.

No one that can type, is that stupid.

RE: Alison Krauss

Yea, it's my cousin Itt pic. laugh

RE: Alison Krauss

Most people here don't, and know one does until it's shown to them.

That's the full address....

You need to take out the "s" in "https" and put the address between [you tube] and [/you tube] except don't put the space between you and tube like I did. I had to type it that way so it shows up in text, without the space it becomes an instruction and you wouldn't be able to see it.

It should look like this(but with you and tube pushed together)...

[you tube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izYjezTdTuY[/you tube]

There's a preview button next to the post reply button, if you us the preview button you can see what your post will look like, without actually posting. If you have it right you'll see the video, if not you'll see the text.

RE: Private info or not?

It's a difficult position to clarify concisely, and I understand

most people will disagree with me..

The father is not completely neglected, in any circumstance other than

the woman being unwilling to carry the child.

If she is willing to carry the child, the man should be informed.

He has a right to have knowledge of the child being in the world,

and a right to the opportunity to parent said child.

If she is unwilling to carry the child, it's simply out of his hands.

While I would prefer she informed him of her choice to terminate the pregnancy, in the absence of an ongoing relationship she doesn't owe him anything.

RE: Have you met anyone from here face-to-face yet?

Not from this site, no.

There's not enough local members for that to be practical for me.

I have met with women from the site of bountiful fishes though.

It's not at all difficult to do. People who frequent sites with substantial numbers of local members, but aren't meeting people face to face are getting in their own way somehow or another.

RE: signals ???? ladies

Is it possible she was worried what the others might think

of you two going off together?

Either way it doesn't really matter.

You offered, it was up to her to make a counter offer if she liked you.

I agree with you, don't hold your breath.

RE: Do you think

I forgot to highlight the bit about breast reduction.

No, I don't think surgery for pain reduction is selfish, on the the part of women.

RE: Do you think

Sooo....I googled "comsetic surgery uk".

Here was the very first result...

"Cosmetic surgery

Introduction

Cosmetic or aesthetic surgery is a type of surgery used to change a person's appearance to achieve what they perceive to be a more desirable look.

In certain situations, cosmetic surgery may be needed for functional reasons – for example, breast reduction is sometimes used to relieve back or neck pain.

Cosmetic surgery is different from reconstructive plastic surgery, which is a type of surgery used to repair damaged tissue caused by surgery, illness, injury, or an abnormality present from birth. There are separate pages on plastic surgery.

Considering cosmetic surgery
Having cosmetic surgery is a major decision. It can be expensive, time consuming, and the results can't be guaranteed.
Sometimes people feel that having cosmetic surgery will help solve a problem in their life and will make their life better.
It's important to ask yourself why you want to have cosmetic surgery. It's a good idea to discuss your plans with your GP before going ahead with treatment. If you decide to have surgery, be absolutely sure about your reasons for wanting to have it and don't rush into it.
Read more about whether cosmetic surgery is right for you.

Can I get cosmetic surgery on the NHS?

Cosmetic surgery is rarely available through the NHS. There must be a major physical or psychological reason for needing the surgery. In rare cases, a clinical commissioning group (CCG) may decide that cosmetic surgery is required to improve a person's health, although NHS resources are limited and waiting times are usually long. For this reason, most people pay to have cosmetic surgery privately.

I hate to disrupt the fun with inconveniences such as factual information.

But yea....

RE: Is age an issue in a relationship

I'd prefer women a year or two older to about ten years younger than myself.

More than ten years my junior would give me concerns.

Of course I'd throw my concerns on the floor with my pants

and step over them at the sight of her naked, but I'd have them.

RE: Favourite Disco Songs (for Disco music fans!)

Did Soul Train ever make it to you guys Minni?

It was a TV show here, very popular in the 70's.

It was a music and dance show, lots of disco stuff(with dancing).

If you've a fondness for such things, you might find it worth a look around youtube.

RE: Care Package for Truheart

I meant so he couldn't type, not to scare him out of touching himself.

They don't ban us for that do they?

*discreetly points webcam at the ceiling*

RE: Care Package for Truheart

You're a good friend. giggle

wave

RE: Care Package for Truheart

If you people really cared about him you'd send him some oven mitts

so maybe he could stay out of jail for more than week next time.

RE: control

What type of control are we talking about Lindsey?

Self control, control of others?

RE: last mile is alwayst the longest.

LDR's are not something to seek out or try and cultivate.

If the spark fades, that's a gift.

If it will just fade away on it's own, it's best to let it.

In meantime if you're enjoying yourselves, do that.

RE: This is gonna be a good n'....(I think...)

I carry my phone every where.

It doesn't stop me from doing anything.

It's a phone, I'm a person.

It just is, I make the decisions.

It's well known that I don't pick up my phone every time it rings. I tell people if it's an emergency, call back I'll go out of my way to answer it the second time. It's too useful to me, and aids far too much in my general safety, to leave it behind instead of allowing it to run my life.

So I keep it with me all the time, and don't let it run my life.

RE: Women who are not where they say they are

They're just scammers.

If you're finding yourself very far into the conversation, without realizing you're talking to a scammer, this is probably not a good way for you to look for a partner.

In the very least, do some research and educate yourself about dating site scammers.

...and for the love of all that's holey, look up "Catfish" on youtube.

RE: MEN

He acts indifferent, or disinterested and then when he sees you with someone else there's trouble?

If he just doesn't like it, that's pretty natural.

It's not even a guy thing, I've had women do that too.

RE: What makes a friend a friend?

Friends are just people you care about, who care about you.

Relationships, are about both people involved.

To expect all my friendships to function the same way,

would be to expect all my friends to be the same person.

While I am the same person in all my relationships my relationships

with different people, differ.

RE: What do you think about stealing somebody away from their partner?

I've a self check for this sort of stuff, that keeps me reasonably

happy with myself(and out of bed with other people's partners)...

If someone want's to kick a dent in my head,

I don't want to agree with their reason for it.

cheers

RE: What do you think about stealing somebody away from their partner?

Why bother.

You end up with a partner you can't trust.

What someone does to others, they will do to you.

They may not in the beginning, but as soon as they think they can get away with it...they will treat just as badly as they've ever treated anyone.

It's the same thing with people with children.

If they're bad to their kids they'll be bad to you as soon as they think they can get away with it.

Why wouldn't they? no one's ever going to love someone or be more interested in their well being than their child's.

Who wants to be in a relationship with someone who's only good to you

because they think they have to be?

Those "relationships" are really just business arrangements,

you give me this, I give you that.

RE: Why a man try to win his woman back?

I think sometimes we misinterpret the discomfort of rejection,

as discomfort over loss of the relationship.

The pain of rejection tricks us into the thinking the relationship

was more important to us than it was.

RE: Show me on cam....

Women are always getting their stuff out.

They're all..."Ocee you're very smart. Here, look at these."

I'm afraid to open my e-cards anymore.

RE: What kind of chocolate do you prefer?

It's OK, you were trying to save me from an error in licking.

RE: Why some people got banned or got their posts hidden?

RE: Why some people got banned or got their posts hidden?

It generally going to come down to with the OP made the thread.

Some people make threads to have discussions.

Some make threads to try and show they are smart.

Some people make thread to promote their idea.

Some people make threads to agitate.

Some people make threads to have the power to ban folks

and get the last word in.

It's mostly about the OP, and why they made a thread.

RE: self condfindence

In part it comes from perseverance.

I we give up easily, we have little reason to challenge ourselves, as there's little to no payoff. We just fail, and then feel bad about ourselves. Confidence is about how we handle failure. If failing is the end of trying, then there's not much reason to try, but if it's just what precedes more trying a person, within reason, can expect the outcome to be success.

Confidence is the belief in the possibility of a successful outcome.

It is the sum of your self esteem and perseverance.

If confidence has eroded to the point of believing that no amount of trying can bring success, a person has given up on themselves.

RE: HAPPY CANADA DAY!

Hi 2int wave

RE: HAPPY CANADA DAY!

I we ever brew a beer in this country that isn't designed

for a 13 year old girl's palate, it will be thanks to Canada.

I thank you in advance Canada, you're good neighbors.
