No, I wouldn't date an alchoholic that is curently drinking, or one that has very recently quit. I might be friends with someone in that situation, but not date.
If you're conerned people will have issues with your use of a nicotine inhaler, just add a line to your profile. Something like..."I haven't had a cigarette in over a year, but I do use a nicotine inhaler regularly."
I think it might be for same reason some men join gangs. They see the world of men as being two groups, the aggressors and the victims. They are trying their very best reassure themselves of their place with the aggressors.
...and they very much want to see you as a member of the victims.
To see the opposite would frighten them terribely.
I wonder about that playing a role in escalating the irrationality, to violence.
By the time someone needs plasma, they're usually running up a bill that will be tens of thousands of dollars. Someone having been paid 50 dollars for plasma isn't really an issue at that point.
The medical establishment that charges hundreds of dollars for things the can be bought on amazon for 20 bucks, trying to attach a stigma to people being paid for plasma should be ashamed of itself. Of course if it had the capacity for shame, this wouldn't be and issue.
