Mi alma, you need
to know I adore you
I am falling in love
my heart speaks
I often suffer
shed a tear
all of this is hard to take
I implore you to listen
and understand me
in the name of my last hope...

Of the night
many have passed
without you I am stricken
absent sleep
my nights are moonless
so bleak and somber
now in your silence
there is only confusion
all this madness

I need you to tell me
what are your thoughts
for our future?

there's no help for my suffering

At the beach

Embedded image from another site

At the beach
everything sways and swoons
the palm trees by the sea
grow sleepy with the heat
I'll offer you shade
on this sun burned carpet of sand
as the misty salt kissed wind
crosses the waters from far off horizon...

Tranquility

Embedded image from another site

When the world is ready to fall
and the burden too great to hold
I go to the place where my soul is set free
and many tales are left untold...

The rumbling of the waves brings peace
the salty air relieves my pain
my eyes open to islands far and away
I break the links of gravity chain...

I know a place that offers serenity
the sun sets slow and seconds only pass
where love shows us such immortality
and life passes like grains through an hourglass...

My life flows by and I still seek to gain
all my unfulfilled dreams will come to pass
life is all but done you see
I choose to flip the hourglass...

Peace is found down by the sea
we can turn down the volume knob of life
take my hand love and walk with me
along these shores of sweet tranquility...

Spring Goddess

Embedded image from another site

Your kiss is laced with opium
and your eyes ablaze with fire

Gaze at me and I burn
caress me and I'm captured

I am yours
I run to you as a traveler

seeks the shade of a tree
when scorched by the sun

It is Spring
shelter me with your blanket of leaves

It is such joy to find you
where meadows are in bloom..

The Dance

Embedded image from another site

Mi cielo
it seems
I cannot have you
nor leave you
between this not having you
or the leaving
I fail to comprehend
my reason for loving you
somehow I know all the while
why I should forget you...

You do not wish to alter
your deceptive ways
or cease seeking me
so I will alter my heart
so that half of it
will now abhor you
while half remains to adore you...

Since we're bound in passion
let us find a happy medium
all this anguish is non-productive
so let us diminish this behavior
of jealousy and mistrust...

For one who only offers
half of themselves
should not demand all from the other
and remember this mi amor
while you are dancing of deceit
know that my dance
will reflect yours...

Torchlight

Embedded image from another site

Burgundy and scented candles
dinner at eight
pacing with clammy hands
she is running late.

She usually does
arriving bathed in candlelight
always the muse
capturing the essence of night.

I let her sip from my glass
the wine was for me
the room becomes a spinning world
of forests, castles, clifftops and restless sea.

Promises are spoken like shooting stars
falling to earth upon our lips as kisses
romance by scent and touch brings such wonder
like a verb dancing in the center of a noun.

Some nights I have this dream
that she writes of me in prose
sitting on her bed with writer's hands
on pages on which the torchlight glows.

Perhaps next time we'll picnic in a park
even if it's a moonless night
I'll bring a glass jar full of lightening bugs
to provide us with a romantic torchlight...

Goddess

Embedded image from another site

Visions of you
my soul
swim to me
the water is plentiful
in my love for you.

When in the stream
clutch your flowers
to your tender breasts
naked and dripping with water
as moonlight makes them bloom.

I love your flowers
for they are beautiful
the way you show them
swimming in the water
soon to take my hand...

I am monster (spoken word)

Embedded image from another site

I am monster
the Osiris of lost souls
lurking in the moonlit shadows
I am Frankenstein unbound
among hungry crows and grackles
I creep over the scared ground
of good and evil...

Where lies my monster bride?
I am kneeling and wailing
for her to complete and release me
from these shackles and chains
of this hellish Gothic pain and sorrow
to offer me absolution
from the atrocities of the flesh I have committed...

I am the fiendish brute
who grows fangs and hair
when the almanac forecasts a full moon
and the sky is crying meteor showers
among random bolts of lightning
I howl and shriek in terror
I am mortal seeking to become immortal
gazing in the mirror I behold a monster...

Much like Frankenstein
If I can't be beautiful I wish to be invisible
I can only be saved
by the love of a beautiful woman
I burn to be inside of her
to find her by a sun baked moonstone
to save me from this cursed life
that I have lived from alpha to omega...

I am Adam reanimated seeking Eve
fleeing inescapable horror as if it were life itself
longing to avoid being impaled by the wooden stake of loneliness
I fear I am becoming a fallen angel
living in the night of the dark soul
my pendulum swings towards you my cherubim lover
for I have love in me like none has ever seen...

My love remember this
when I find you and see you
I will come after you like a hurricane
and even though I am among the undead
I will not stop loving you
until at last the earth quakes
and mountains rise from the sea
shaking the very ground you walk on..

Scream

Embedded image from another site

In my room
darkness is thick
with silence
then suddenly
in height of passion
we scream...

Soft hands clasp my mouth
then waterfall of kisses
still I scream inside my head
shook to the core
crimson and broken
my voice is gone completely...

We scream until we bleed
bathed in our crimson sin
bright red eternal
following the light that is you
until I can no longer speak
seeking something beyond this world...

This hunger for you
deep inside
grows
growing
more and more
I only scream for you now...

Has anyone
seen my brother?
He was just here the other day
perhaps he is just sleeping
in the ruins of some city
so far away...

Has anyone
seen my sister?
a lovely country song
neither one said good by before leaving
or they would be gone
just left us alone and grieving..

Has anyone seen my brother
or my sister too?
They were here the other day
but they can no longer breathe here
I keep reaching for their hands
to tell them I can't really either...

They won't be back
this I know
I allowed them today in my mind
the past is healing so slow
the love I have in kind
suddenly came back today...

Her hands

Embedded image from another site

Oh such lovely hands
always with roses
although much purer
blazen among our sheets
they rise like the stars
float as wings of butterflies...

Tonight my beloved
you arrive with the moon
teasing of the spring
hands of other worldly splendor
soothing as the cool night
dazzling as I dream...

Your lips touch my forehead serene
eyes glowing like the afternoon sky
soft winds from your clouds that litter
when you kiss the purple ember of my mouth
I am blessed with the gift of stone water
as you make the sign of the cross my love...

Lay your hands upon my face
bring with you white fire and doves
chase away my nightmares
I awake each morning
open to such light and love
as you....
