Handsome Man Club

After many a drink
in some far away pub
I once or twice fancied
joining a handsome man club...

Hmm it first seemed a plan
the only prerequisite
that one be a handsome man...

Realizing error or room for reasonable doubt
or possessing picture proof to show
that I could very well be left out
after gazing in foggy hanging bedroom mirror...

Seeing no dashing movie star look
thinking my name will never be found
in some shady Hollywood agents address book...

After coming down to cold sobering reality
perhaps even calling this absurd idea a day
my love hugged and whispered to humble me
she would always love me unconditionally anyway...

Even if I am some wild weed or flowery shrub
I was her forever lover and eternal best friend
that I didn't have to be in any handsome man club..

Jessica

Jessica. with you
take heed my heart
it tells me you
are not something
that comes everyday...

Perhaps it is said
it is so easy
to fall into love
but harder to find
someone to catch you...

You have caught me
maybe for the first time
I finally see love
instead of searching for love
we create the love...

Jessica, I miss you
staring at the same
stars as you do
only without you
beside me this moment...

You are not just
a passing comet
you are the light
dazzling from distant stars
thousands of years ago...

Eclipse

A thousand sensual feelings
with waves of climax
thrill my mind..

Tonight I hunger,
for soft tender embrace,
it is a religious revelation..

s*xual and spiritual,
I self-abandon,
surrendering to a greater force..

It is like playing God
her breathing beneath me,
my bed is springtime..

In a dancing playful flow,
I penetrate the sun,
a total eclipse of her body..

A thought..

Now that I love her
it is a longing
to become as one,
perhaps it is true
according to Plato
God in antiquity
split us in two...

Wandering this world
seeking her soul,
I do not desire
a lightness of being,
only to become as fire
with the half that was lost..

For love is
to find
the missing half
of our
fragmented soul...

A Sort of Vertigo

I not only
wish to make
love to you
I desire to
share sleep with you...

Though I fear falling
a sort of vertigo
always fighting the voice
of eternal emptiness
terrified I defend...

Falling for your love
lies a separate passion
limited to only you
therefore I love you
seeking to share our sleep...

Of course I wish
to copulate with you
to beautify this void
my fear of tumbling
surrendering to the voice...

But you complete me
curing this vertigo
this fearful anomie
let us share our sleep
my slumber is with you...

About this poem:
For Jessica...A desire to share sleep with a woman is a desire limited to the love of just one woman, beyond the desire to just copulate which extends to an infinite number of women...An existential thought..

Dreams Revisited...

Oh wonderful Morpheus,
weaver of childhood dreams,
bring me to a wonderful place
of chariots and runaway horses
entranced in a cloudy mist...

I'll drift away to ancient woods
only to dream and dream,
leaving behind cold and harsh world,
as I chase my fairy tale princess
saving her from the dragon...

I wish away my bed but a cloud
drifting off towards falling star
and the bursting supernova,
all the way to Andromeda,
resting upon the Elysian Fields...

When I awake from golden slumber
to the cruel world of falling sky,
I'll pray for blissful nature
that we all are a dream within a dream
with runaway horses and fairy tale princess...

Melancholy.

I am a single light
burning in single room
a single bird in flight,
flying towards single gloom...

I am a single hand
reaching for no one there,
a house built upon sand
in the mirrow i stare...

I am Adam without an Eve,
a moon without a sea,
condemned loner without reprieve
seeking a lover for eternity...

I am a voice in the dark
crying out for tenderness,
just a shadow of a man
lost in this wilderness...

I am living to be dying for love,
praying for angel to descend,
my candle is lit for her
to bring loneliness to an end...

Atomic Anticipation

She texts me,
my anticipation builds,
starting to clear my desk,
there is still time to kill...

Five O'clock finally comes,
off dashing to my car,
heart beating like 100 drums,
this traffic stretched out so far..

Red light, yellow and green,
driving towards road and sky,
seeking seductive eyes serene.
A stop sign comes in my way...

I stop to purchase flowers,
so deserved is she,
bringing purpose to empty hours,
casting her spell binding sorcery...

Finally she stands smiling in doorway,
our eyes glance and meet,
she hugs and kisses me,
an atom bomb goes off under my feet...

Her Pandora's box..

My dark angel
muse of tragedy,
sweet siren songstress
demoness of calamity...

Is it truly you
or your youth
and moonlit beauty
that I am drawn to?

Is it often true
you whisper sweet lies?
beckoning and deceiving me
wearing brilliant disguise...

Bring storm elsewhere
ending paradox,
surely taking with you
your Pandora's box...

For Nancy

The night sky opens
within my dreams,
the face of the moon
becomes you,
my immortal angel...

Death came untimely
in fury storm and rain,
Is it so selfish of me
to dream you back again?
Daughter of the light...

Gone are you from mortal sight
unforgotten lover and best friend,
reaching for you in dead of night
is a loneliness without an end,
for love survives death...

Your selfless deeds go not undone,
For i gaze upon your lovely face
living on in our 13 year old son,
for he carries your soul and grace,
daughter of infinite light...

Now you live among the stars,
nebula and bursting supernova,
riding the reflection of the moonlit mile,
I will always remember you
as Nancy with the laughing smile...

Black Hair Blue-Eyed Girl

Black hair
Blue-eyed girl,
Beauty beyond compare...

A blue morning sky
Rises in her eyes,
I am born to die

Within her embrace,
My dark sweet raven
Of tender saving grace...

This night I enshroud
In her body the fury storm,
Above her head gathering clouds

Misty water cleansing my pain,
She gently unleashes her hair
To fall softly like rain

As Cool ringlets upon my chest,
Lips of lightning strikes of kisses
A tsunami of healing caress...

Blue-eyed
Black haired girl,
Smiled and sighed,

Drew near to silently say,
Sweet lover this feeling
Carries my breath away,

Fulfilling our secret needs,
Causing heart and flesh to burn
In embered passionate deeds...

The Garden

When I saw her
in the garden
many flowers bloomed,
none matched the glow
surrounding her
or the innocence
she presumed...

Ribbons of sunlight
bathed her golden hair,
so lovely in her bones,
even birds noticed
her blossoming smile
enchanting standing there
in this lovely garden isle...
